I protested vigorously and said she needed to call someone because that was an insane amount and there must be a decimal issue or something. She got the owner, Michael, on the phone and he was apologetic, but after much confusion on the employee's part they still charged me $18. $18 to attach three buttons! And I had supplied the buttons! No cleaning, no pressing - three buttons! The employee told me that other customers had been charged ridiculous amounts for other repairs/alterations at the store and my case was not isolated. I told the employee that I will definitely not be having any more repairs/alterations done ever at that place. In fact, I will not be patronizing the cleaners again.
