My favorite dressy "jumper" was badly damaged. I actually thought I would need to throw it away... I am so happy that I didn't and instead asked Terry for help. I just picked up my garment. It was actually ready in less than a week and then zipper is better than when it was new. Terry also fixed a hole that was splitting in the seam beneath the zipper. Okay so whoever left a 1 star review sounds like a bridezilla and was a bit salty that the attention wasn't on her and that heaven forbid...other clients. Terry runs a very efficient and effective small business so of course she's going to divide her time and attention as appropriate. Anyways, now that that is off my chest. I found Terry to do excellent work. Terry was referred to me by an acquaintance and the appointment was easy to book on her website. I had this bridesmaid dress with a ton of layers and ?tull that needed some adjustments made. Needless to say, she had the dress done for me in a month and a half and I actually love what she did with the hem and the straps. In the beginning, I was really unsure about the dress (it's a bridesmaid dress..need I say more?!) however, with what terry did to it...I ended up loving it!! I would definitely recommend her and if I have anymore bridesmaid dresses or evening wedding dresses...I'll go back to her as long as she's still doing business. read more

Terry does great work and she is very fast and friendly. She is extremely experienced working with formal gowns for over 20 years. If you are in a bind and desperately need something fixed for tomorrow or a few days she will get it done for you! She no longer does alterations at her house and moved inside a salon because there is more room but her business license hangs in the main fitting room room. She did an awesome job in a short period of time on a very fancy dress I bought. Definitely recommend.

At first Terry seemed like she really cared about doing a great job. I came to her with my wedding dress. The last fitting I had with her, I brought push up cups, and asked her to attach them to the cups she already sewed in the dress. I also asked her to adjust the bustle of my wedding dress. I didn't like the way she had it the first time, and I had just purchased a petticoat so I wanted to make sure that the dress covered the petticoat completely. She showed me that she could attach the train of the dress under neath. It's hard to explain but she folded it under somehow and it looked great. I asked her to permanently attach it like that, and my mother was happy Bc she wouldn't have to fuss with the bustle then. I also asked her to take my petticoat slip in - because it was too loose. When I arrived to pick up my dress, a week before the wedding, I checked it in the car. She didn't attach the cups. I brought the dress back in and she apologized and said she would do it immediately. I looked at it and saw she sewed the push up half cups, behind the bigger cups she had sewed in previously. I immediately thought it was wrong, but she is only at her daughter's salon on Sunday's, so i knew I would have to deal with it. I showed it to my mom as well and my mom couldn't understand why she sewed half cups, behind a full cup. Then my mom noticed safety pins on the bottom of the dress and removed them. We assumed she had permanently sewed the train like she promised. It turns out she didn't. My mom called her and she acted like, it was no big deal and it just bustle it on the wedding day. Problem is, she didn't do what we paid her to do. I didn't have time to try on the dress until the day of my wedding. When I tried it on, and was already running late, the cups she sewed in wrong, looked horrible. It made my boobs look pointed. Shd was suppose to sew the half cups on top of the bigger cups to add life, she sewed it behind the bigger cups, making it look pointed. I had to cut them out in the limo on the way to the church. On top of that, the petticoat slip she was suppose to take it, was still huge, and we couldn't get the bustle to lay right. I will never go to her again. She put her prom dress clients as a higher priority to a bridal client and my whole wedding day I felt uncomfortable and frumpy in my dress. read more

We were referred to Terry's Tailoring by LeFemme Dress Shop. I should've checked these reviews first. I can only hope this review will help others. Please take pictures or video of your dress before dropping it off. My daughter had her prom dress altered by Terry. Minor alterations including hemming, partially closing a long slit and tightening the netting up top. Hemming and netting were fine. Pins still in where the slit should have been closed. When my daughter put the dress on I quickly saw the back was pulled. The $300 dress is ruined. Terry claimed she did not touch that area. Perhaps she did not touch that area, however the dress did not have this pull in it when we gave her the dress. There was no thread to be found from this dress this morning in that dressing room. Therefore it did not just happen, as Terry said it did. There is no sales agreement to protect against this. Perhaps they are so rushed, they become careless. $40 off alterations was all that was given as compensation and she didn't want to give that. I would choose elsewhere next time. read more

Not a legit business... she had me pick up my dress at her daughter's hair and nail salon, and I didn't realize it was COVERED in black hairs. On my wedding day, my bridesmaids had to use and ENTIRE lint roller to remove the hair. SO GROSS! read more

Have been going to Terry's tailoring for all my alterations for a very long time now. She altered all my prom dresses and the most recent was my wedding gown. I fell in love with a gown and could only find it in a much larger size than my own. I was amazed at the final outcome and could not have been happier. She pretty much reconstructed my entire wedding dress, it ended up being one of a kind. I appreciate all her patience during all my visits, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my alterations!
