I dropped off three pairs of trousers to have one button sewn back on each pair. I attached each button to each pair. The trousers were not to be cleaned or pressed, just repaired. When I stopped in to pick them up, the young lady working there said $72. I asked if she was joking and how much was it really. She straight faced said $72. I protested vigorously and said she needed to call someone because that was an insane amount and there must be a decimal issue or something. She got the owner, Michael, on the phone and he was apologetic, but after much confusion on the employee's part they still charged me $18. $18 to attach three buttons! And I had supplied the buttons! No cleaning, no pressing - three buttons! The employee told me that other customers had been charged ridiculous amounts for other repairs/alterations at the store and my case was not isolated. I told the employee that I will definitely not be having any more repairs/alterations done ever at that place. In fact, I will not be patronizing the cleaners again. It is too bad for them because they had been a good dry cleaner and I had several items waiting to go over, including rugs. A very nice woman who was waiting behind me in line when this was going on told me she would sew the buttons on for me next time because that bill was crazy.
