I am always looking out for a deal! and I found one on poshmark, someone was selling a very used and horribly repainted Vintage Chanel Beige Double classic flap, for a steal. I scooped it up fast. When I received it it was in rough shape. They had repainted the bag everywhere and I mean everywhere - the grommets, the chain, on the turn lock. The paint job was also fading and rubbed off in certain spots, so the original color was poking through. On top of it all there was also pen marks on the inside flap. I debated where or not to send it in to get restored or just use it as is. I decided that since the bag is considered an investment piece then I needed to do everything I could to preserve it. I contacted Leather Surgeons. I uploaded pictures of the bag and they sent me a quote. I got the bag spa service about $600, but only because I added insurance. Then I waited, I sent it out and got confirmation that it was received 7/9/2026, and it came back yesterday 8/19/2026.(UPS signature required) I sent emails while waiting for the bag just to check up on the progress and LS got back to me every time. The wait was worthwhile. When I opened the box I couldn't believe how the bag looked. I was so happy with the bag. It literally looks brand new. I am so happy I decided to send the bag to Leather Surgeons, they are worth the hype. They have earned their reputation and I will be sending out two more bags to them. I would recommend their services to anyone. the pictures do not do the restoration justice read more

They provided a full and honest initial estimate and were able to stick to it throughout the process. They had very user friendly mail in service and a surprisingly quick turn around. The work they did was fantastic and they even included a certificate of authenticity in a nice folder (which was not expected but very much appreciated). The work was very well priced. I am confident that they helped me build equity in my collectible vintage handbag! read more

Spent $345 for a spa service on my $3200 YSL smooth calfskin tote. Came back SO DRY and DULL, it looked dark gray, even my 16yo son noticed (and that says a lot). Waste of money and time. Used the Bee Natural line myself and now it looks beautiful, thank the Lord I knew about that brand. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Where do I begin? I've sent a few of my handbags to the Leather Surgeons over the years. They always do impeccable work! The most recent bag I sent was a vintage Chanel mini square flap handbag. I purchased it for a good price, but it needed some major help. The bag was in rough condition, the gold plated chains were tarnished, the corners of the bag were awful, and the bag couldn't even stand up straight. It needed major work done. That's when I reached out the Leather Surgeons! I just got the bag back, and it looks like a brand new bag. My jaw did drop (and I'm not being dramatic), in the before photos and the after, you can see such a major up-haul done to the bag. The structure is perfect, the corners and fading was fixed, and the hardware was re-plated. I'm in love with the bag all over again. I will always swear by the Leather Surgeons, they have never let me down and the craftsmanship is superior. I can never go anywhere else for my bags. read more

Super happy with the restoration of my vintage Chanel bag. I also got the chain elongated as it was not long enough for a crossbody for me. Now it is perfect. The price was also great! I had obtained another estimate elsewhere and it was ridiculously expensive to where I might as well have purchased a different bag. The quote I received was reasonable and the process was easy to do. I received my bag about 3 weeks after I sent it. read more

After doing some research and hearing amazing things about Leather Surgeons, I sent my bag here for repair. I had purchased a bag that was not in the exact condition that I thought it was. I knew it needed repair, but it ended up being a bit more of an extensive repair. There were several stains, discoloration, and the leather seemed to be damaged as well. Leather Surgeons was up for the task and the pricing was fair. I am so happy with how my bag turned out. They restored it to its original color as well as made it basically brand new! The bag was returned to me with an authenticity letter, which I didn't really need bc I knew it was as authentic, but a nice touch as well as a dust bag, which is always great to have. Excellent customer service from Gerry and his team. They kept me posted every step of the way. I would highly recommend. read more

Wow! Literally made my bag new again. They are magicians! Thank you so much for bringing life back to my Chanel bag!

Excellent restoration of my vintage Chanel Diana Flap. I can always count on the Leather Surgeons to do a professional job on my handbags. They took my vintage Chanel Diana and brought the life back to her. The leather is supple and has such a beautiful sheen. The chain leather feels good, and the chain glides through my fingers. I really appreciate the shipping process and you can choose how much insurance to add to your bag. The turnaround time was really quick and they communicated with me throughout the whole process. They have previously elongated a chanel chain strap for me and I despite my efforts, I cannot tell where they added the chain and leather. It's a perfect match of a seasonal pink color, in caviar. Not an easy match, but looks flawless! read more
