I am mind blown by Leather Surgeons' work and I highly recommend LS for any bag spa or repairs!! As you can see in the photo attached, my bag was super damaged from hand sanitizer and I was really really sad. I decided to give LS a try since it's a lot cheaper than getting a whole new bag. The turnaround time was shorter than expected and when I got my bag back, I was EXTREMELY impressed with how nice my bag looked and felt. Very easy process from getting quotes to getting the bag back. Thank you for making my bag look beautiful again and I will definitely reach out to LS for any future bag spa and repairs! read more

Recommended by our Facebook group and friends but their service and work is exceedingly above and beyond. Gerry took care of my wife Hermès that ruined from sanitize wipes that leaks (ladies be careful with those wipes - pure evil) They managed to restore the leather and wife is super happy again. Bought for her bday in august and 4 months later get ruined was not making me happy Any problem with bags now I know where to go plus we get it back in about 2 weeks in much much better condition like new again. I heard amazing things about the Leather Surgeons (Gerry and his Team), so I took a chance and opted to have my CF chain extended. I'm so glad I took the leap of faith, talk about cost per wear. I'm 5'8 and the original straps are just too short to be comfortable and not long enough for crossbody. Now, I have the perfect bag. Thank you Gerry and Team! read more

I bought a bag from Japan and initially, I thought there was no way I could preserve it. However, I heard about Leather Surgeons from a seller in Japan, so I searched for them and emailed them right away. They responded within a day or two, asking me to send pictures of my bag. Once they received the photos, they emailed me with recommendations on what they could do. We stayed in contact throughout the process, and when they received my Chanel bag, it took them less than two weeks to restore it. Now, I have my first vintage bag that looks wonderfully preserved. Hats off to Leather Surgeons for their honesty and professionalism. I wouldn't go anywhere else. To top it all off, they provided a free certificate of authenticity, confirming that my Chanel bag is genuine. read more

I can't believe I never wrote a review for this amazing place! I have used them a couple times for purse restoration and leather jacket repair. I had a lambskin Chanel bag from the 90s that had seen better days. I emailed Gerry and told him what I wanted - I wanted him to replate the gold chain (Chanel used real gold back then) and spruce up the leather on the inside and outside of the bag. I was lucky the quilted leather didn't flatten out like some bags. I sent my bag in and a few weeks later, my bag came back in perfect condition along with a letter certifying that it was a real Chanel bag. He did an amazing job! I also sent in SO's Armani leather jacket that got damaged when he threw it on top of sticky tape (I was trying to train my kitty lol) and he also sent that back in great condition. Gerry told me that originally they repaired leather jackets and eventually moved to repairing bags. Gerry and his team are super busy so if you email him and don't hear from him immediately please be patient. It's worth the wait! read more

This was my first time sending in a bag for repairs so I was nervous of the process but the team at Leather Surgeons were so helpful and provided detailed emails with the repair process. I provided the team with a list of items that needed attention on my bag and they addressed each one. My bag came back to me in such amazing condition!!! The process was also very quick and the pricing is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Leather Surgeons and will definitely be using them for my future bag repairs! read more

This is not my first time getting my bag spa'd with the leather surgeon! They truly are exceptional and go above and beyond with their service. My bag had some staining and they're able to repair it to look like brand new again! So happy with their service. I also appreciate their honesty when i inquire about some other bags on their capacity to repair them so that they don't just over-promise their service. They're confident in their ability and they know what they can and cannot do. They're always my go to spa service for my bags! read more

I bought a vintage Fendi bag that had seen better days. My friend had recommended Leather Surgeons so I uploaded some photos of the bag and explained I wanted to bring it to life- not sure what that would entail. Someone from LS got back to me and explained they'd redo the handle and the bag would benefit from spa service. He explained what that process is in detail. It took about 4-6 weeks? Loveee the bag, they really did bring it to life again! I highly recommend. This is the only service I would use to send my bags. They're a little pricey but well worth it. read more

Phenomenal job! Gerry, Hunter, and the team are very responsive and will answer any questions that you may have. They will also authenticate your bag as well. The shipping to and from is included in their pricing. I acquired a vintage 90s Chanel purse that was very worn with scratches on the lambskin and the leather in the chain was cracked and falling apart. The team brought the bag back to life, polished the metalware, and changed out the leather in the chain. This purse looks brand new again. I'm shocked at the level of restoration that this team was able to do. All my high- end purses will be going to Leather Surgeons from now on. read more

I ordered a chanel bag preloved knowing that it was going to be a project bag. Once I received it, I immediately send it to leather surgeon to get some work done. There was a very noticeable scratch at the front of the bag that I asked leather surgeon to see if they can at least help minimize the visibility of it. After I send the bag, I was very pleased that Gerry also took the time to call me personally and explain to me his plan and process. He was very sweet and funny, and really made me feel at ease knowing that my bag is in good hands. When I received the bag back, I was completely surprised to see that the scratch is completely gone! Oh my it definitely exceeds my expectations 10000%! I just couldn't believe my eyes. They are truly miracle workers Thank you Gerry and team for giving my bag a second chance in life read more

The very best in skills, customer services and professional magic hands in leather restoration business. I've used these gentlemen's services in the past and this company and these fine gentlemen- Gerry, Hunter and Cory are the only place and people that I trust to do anything with my bags. The results are outstanding, mouth dropped happy every single time. These services are not cheap but like the old saying- you get what you've paid for. I've just got my Chanel vintage mini flap back and let me tell ya, I was so happy I almost cry( yes, that happy) The purse is 90% looking better than the day I sent it out to their studio. Im so thankful to them for doing an amazing job restoring my aging bag. If you are in need of these kind of services, reach out to them by email. Be patience, they will reply back within 24-48 hours at most. Turn around time for each repair depends on how many bags you send in, could be from 2 weeks to 6 weeks for a single bag. These gentlemen take their times to perfect the details of each bag so the result would be impeccable as much as it can. 1000% recommended. read more

I am someone with VERY high standards and Leather Surgeons have just blown me away! They are so incredibly detailed and thoughtful about their services. My 40 year old Chanel Jumbo single flap had a lot of scratches on there and the leather in the chain was coming apart in one area and she was dull and tired. I shipped her off to Leather Surgeons and she came back stuffed with tissue for support, wrapped in tissue to protect the bag and the chain AND she was in a Leather Surgeon dust bag (I sent her off with a LV dust bag). The shipping box was carefully stuffed with paper to protect my vintage bag. I'm telling you, she looks brand new! She has no scratches and a lovely shine to her again. OOHH and did I mention they send you a certificate of authenticity! I think I only paid $280 for this service. I'm truly blown away! I will definitely be sending them more pieces! read more

From the first initial contact Leather Surgeons got back to me within a few hours with a quote. I bought a vintage Chanel double flap off eBay and I thought the condition was unsaveable. The bag wouldn't stand it was peeling and to be honest looked like it was ran over by a train . I found Leather Surgeons off TikTok and I'm so happy I did. The bag has been completely reshaped ,conditioned, replated and looks amazing! They added and extended a new chain and the process from start to finish was around three weeks which was less than the four week lead that they gave! Gerry and his team are amazing, communicative, and real masters of their craft. I would highly recommend their services to anyone that is looking to rehab their bag! read more

Lather Surgeons did an amazing job repairing my Chanel patent leather WOC. Their professionalism and prompt email communication was outstanding from start to finish. Upon receiving my WOC after repair, I was extremely pleased with Leather Surgeon's customer service and workmanship! It was less than 24 hours from the time I sent my initial email to the time I received a repair quote. The entire process from start to finish was approximately 3 weeks. A COA was included when my WOC when returned to me. That was a nice added bonus. I highly recommend Leather Surgeons and will not trust another company with my luxury handbags! read more

I sent my bag in for a spa treatment. It is a lambskin leather and had some scuff marks and looked more brown than black. The color has faded as it's an old bag. Leather Surgeons was quick to respond to my request and answered my questions patiently. The turnaround time was decent and the bag came back looking more beautiful. I highly recommend their service! read more

I can not rave more about my first experience with the Leather Surgeon's team. I had a ton of questions before sending off my bags and Hunter answered everyone. Shipping to them was painless and their return shipping was even better. Tracked with signature to make sure I got my bags back. They put each bag in a dust bag, included certificates of authenticity and packaged them beautifully. I had 1 chanel kelly that had torn where the top handle connects to the bag and vintage chanel camera bag where the corners were so worn down that the boning/piping was sticking out. Both were repaired beautifully. Thanks team! read more

Communication and shipment was great. My vintage diana was in great shape when I got it, besides some color fading near the bottom front. After the spa service, bag lost its sheen and texture. Now it's more matte and there are creases there that I barely noticed before. Looks more worn down and old to me. Disappointed as a lot of people had great experiences.. I should have just left my bag alone :( read more

Just got my Chanel classic flap back, and I am blown away. My 2006 bag was in terrible condition-peeling, crushed-I had it stored away in the back of my closet, and rarely used it. I have used Leather Surgeons three times now to service my Chanel bags, and I could not be happier. It is amazing what they can do! They restored some bags for me, and permanently extended chains on several other Chanel bags. I was amazed at the results... The bags look completely unaltered and perfect. I truly don't know how they do it! Their prices are very reasonable, actually a bargain compared to buying a new Chanel! Although I am sure they are very busy, they keep in contact with you, and are always courteous and friendly. Well worth contacting them if you have a pricey bag that you would like to get repaired or serviced. I know it may feel uneasy to send an expensive bag with sentimental value in via UPS to them, but trust me, so well worth it! read more

I am beyond pleased with how my Chanel bag was returned to me from Leather Surgeons. I have a Chanel Maxi Lambskin Chocolate Bar Single Flap, black lambskin with brown stitching. The lambskin had started to fade, the leather in the chain had started to fray and the brown stitching had started to come apart in many places, making it look messy and unkempt. I received my bag back from Leather Surgeons today and it is perfect. It looks brand new. The brown stitching was a concern as they were not sure they had the same thread to match the already existing thread, but it looks more than perfect. The lambskin is soft as ever and extra shiny. The communication and service is fast and easy. They give you an upfront cost so you can make sure it is in your price range. Once you are ready to move forward they provide you with a shipping label. My bag was gone for about 2-3 weeks which I believe is a reasonable amount of time to make the necessary updates. Thank you, Leather Surgeons! read more

A+++ My vintage Chanel looks brand new! My bag needed to be dyed, fading gold plated hardware fixed, conditioned, stain removal & creasing repair. I don't think I've written a Yelp review in a decade but my experience with Leather Surgeons was so positive that I need to credit them publicly. After months of research, I inquired about my vintage light beige lambskin classic flap. Poor boy (yes, a he) has accumulated years of grime, scuffs, and discoloration no matter how hard I tried to clean him at home. I actually think I made him worse by attempting to DIY clean/condition. Leather Surgeons promptly reached back out to me to let me know it would be a tough job but quoted me and I was honestly expecting a much higher figure. The shipping process from start to finish was so seamless and to my shock, the shipping was included in my quote! I received my purse today (packaged beautifully, I'll add) after a few weeks and it looks brand new. I'm scared to touch him because he's that perfect and trust me when I say I was not expecting perfection based on his original condition, just improvement. I will be sending all my Chanels here. Service, value, results... all five stars. read more

This is the second time I have sent handbags in to be repaired / restored/ receive a spa treatment. Just like the first time, I am utterly amazed at how beautiful my bags have come back. I tried to attach photos, but for some reason, that's not working. Their work: My 1989-1990 Chanel Lambskin had worn corners, and a "flat tire" look to the base (my hub's words, not mine), and overall looked tired. I had to double check the serial number. I couldn't believe it was really my bag-that is how beautifully restored it was returned to me. I also sent in a Chanel suede flap from the same time period that had a hole in the back, lower corner, was misshapen, and overall in sad shape. The hole is gone, and the shape is restored. It looks beautiful. My grey 50th Anniversary Reissue received a spa, and the leather is supple, and beautiful. Their customer service: Hunter is truly patient, and thorough in his responses. Gerry is a rock star-no other words for it. He is truly honest and transparent about what can be done, super nice, friendly, and incredibly gifted at what he does. Cory is incredibly patient, and responsive. These guys are true gems: professional and skilled at what they do! Their packaging is also thorough, and beautifully done. My bags were carefully wrapped, and packaged, and I love the dustbags and authenticity certificates that they include. I have one more bag that will be coming home next week, and I know it will also be as beautifully restored and taken care of as these. I only trust Leather Surgeons with my bags. read more

I have sent other Chanel bags and one Hermes bag to them before and their job has always been decent. I do have to say I've never used another company to compare. They don't work miracles like some people claim but Leather Surgeons never claim to work miracles either. They do very good jobs at cleaning leather but touch ups are a bit rough around the edges and the little details are not precise. Sometimes they close the bag before things fully dry and the leather stick together a bit leaving light imprints sometimes. Before this time I would rate their work at 3.5-4 stars. My issue this time is on replacing the fabric lining to my Chanel bag. My bag and lining is DARK beige. They told me they have the fabric but the color might be SLIGHTLY different but when I received my bag back the lining was VERY different color. It was ivory with a greenish tint. Very obviously mismatched compared to the warm dark beige color on the rest of the bag. I reached out to them they said I have to pay for a new service. So I paid around $300 first time and they're expecting a whole amount of $300 again. I tried to work with them on this but they wouldn't budge. $600 total for this work? I'm so disappointed in the color so I tried to sell it to a consignment shop but they refused to accept the bag because of the interior they deemed the bag inauthentic! read more
