I bought a pre-owned Celine bag online that had a small glue stain on the zipper and the edges were slightly scruffed. Also the strap was way too long. I sent my bag off to Leather Surgeons to give her a spa service (since pre-owned) plus I wanted them to put a protector spray on it. The whole process was seamless. Hunter was wonderful in his detailed communication- I felt comfortable to send my bag off and trusted she was in good hands. She came back in better condition than I expected. The glue stain completely gone (they said no guarantees but would try their best). The strap length is now perfect. The slight scruffs are completely gone and now I have a dust bag which my pre-owned bag didn't come with. Happy customer here and will come back next time any of my bags need work. I loved my red Longchamp shoulder bag -- I bought it at Saks in 2004 and it was perfect. But after almost 20 years, it was NOT in good shape. Frayed leather, worn corners. One of my Chanel bags had a broken piece of hardware. I sent the bag and they cleaned it and replaced the hardware. My vintage bag looked brand new when I got it back. Then I asked if they could do spot treatment on a Veronica Beard leather skirt I spilled hummus on. I thought the skirt was ruined, as it had an oil stain on it from the food. I found Leather Surgeons from a high number of YouTube reviews, which were all amazing, so I thought I'd try them out. I bought a preloved Chanel classic bag with some corner wear/scuffing. I took some photos and emailed them to the LS team, and they immediately replied. They let me know an overall bag spa was what i needed to recondition the leather, buff out the scuffs, and just give it a good cleaning. They gave me all the details on how to ship (no cost), timeframe, when they log the bag in their system, and when it was finished/about to ship back to me. I was impressed by the level of communication. When I got my bag back in less than 2 weeks, I was amazed! It was like a brand new bag! Almost all the scuffs and corner wear disappeared! The color was a richer black instead of faded. The metal work on the straps were buffed and shiny like new! They even packaged it carefully with a lot of tissue paper. Leather Surgeons spray painted my mauve Chanel bag to a gold, matte ridiculous color. I asked them to dye their mistake black, which they said they could not do. I brought it to the Chanel shop - they were aghast! So were the other customers in the store. How could someone spray paint a $6000 bag??? I brought it to 4 shops, who wouldn't touch this bag. Finally found a local shop that would tackle this project. It took half a day to remove the spray paint that was applied by Leather Surgeons. They then used LIQUID dye to dye my bag black. Chanel does not work on metallics, so, not sure why people say this is the place to send Chanel bags?? Look at my before and after pics I posted - and use your own judgment before sending your expensive, luxury bag into them for a spa treatment!! read more

I just received my Chanel wallet in the mail today, it is all I could have asked for and more! Their attention to detail is unmatched, things like touching up the pink interior without degrading or damaging the original finishes, and even as far as cleaning out the change pocket tell the true quality of their work. this is my first time to have any of my bags to get a spa treatment. I was very hesitant even waited for 2 years to send her out. I'm very glad I did. Leather Surgeons does such an amazing job on my vintage Chanel classic flap (restoration). The bag was made in 1991-1992 and the condition for a 31 years old bag isn't too bad but when I received her this morning I was so shocked and still very surprised on how crazy good my bag looks like now. I stayed with the original color and I believe they probably reshape it, fix the loose thread and did some touch up in the corners. Plus they even included the authenticity cert in the return package. Ill say the process time is about 3 weekish. It's so worthy. I'll definitely recommend it and I plan to sent out my Birkin next. I sent my Chanel Maxi in to have a popped stitch repaired and to see what they could do about the scuffed interior. By scuffs I mean multiple "divets" and scratches in the burgundy leather interior...I did not hold out much hope for any repairs. I received my bag back after a few weeks and it is stunning. I just received my Chanel 9-series pink caviar M/L back from Leather Surgeons and I am so happy with the results. I had the strap shortened to the original drop length (the previous owner had it lengthened but it was way too long on my petite frame), the 24k gold hardware re-plated as it was scratched and tarnished in a few spots, and a cleaning and conditioning done to the leather. Now she looks brand new! The leather looks so fresh and the gold plating is so shiny and beautiful. I'm so impressed how they got the deep scratches out of the CC turnlock. And my favorite part - the strap is now the perfect length!! I can wear her crossbody now and I am in love. The strap looks absolutely seamless and no one would ever know that it had ever been lengthened previously. Additionally Gerry and his team was very kind and informative throughout the entire process. They set my expectations on what was possible from the start, yet they totally exceeded my expectations when I saw the results. I would also like to note that you can specify whether or not you would like color retouching done to your bag or if you would like to maintain the current color.
