Shoutout to our local community Heroes! My husband has been a loyal fan of this venue for a long time. He has been missing this quality and the authenticity of the food since we moved from Jax to St Augustine. We have been here several times together, but he has been here more than 40 times. We love the menu and all the choices! Beautiful dishes and so many different naans . Lamb, goat, chicken, beef, or vegetarian!! It is a win win situation for anything that comes out of this kitchen! Depth of flavors and textures.... It is so nice to visit one of the best places we remember in JAX. The staff is amazing, personable, and attentive . Taste the Love!!

Maa Kitchen is consistently delicious. Leveraging traditional recipes; if you order a classic dish you will get the flavors and textures you'd hope for with no reinvention (this is a good thing). Where they are innovating is the broad selection of menu items, with Indian entrees and sides from all over the country, with every region considered. The restaurant is spacious with room for events, pretty lighting for date night, and nicely laid out large tables available for big family dinners. They have great house wines! The staff is friendly, helpful, attentive and is well versed in the menu (which is very modern and has great details and visuals). This is my family's favorite local Indian restaurant and my go to when out of town guests want authentic Indian food.

I've tried a lot of Indian restaurants around town, but I think Maa Kitchen has the best Chicken 65 Biryani -- seriously, it's packed with flavor and perfectly spiced. Their vegetable Pakora and the onion one are also so good, super fresh and flavorful. The Chicken Tikka Masala was rich and creamy, and the Butter Chicken was absolutely delicious. Everything I've tried so far has been amazing, and I honestly can't wait to go back and try more from their menu! Highly recommend this spot if you're craving authentic and satisfying Indian food. Service was pretty great too!

I love a good Indian restaurant and this is definitely one of my favorites. Food--9.9/10. OK I know this is a silly rating but hang in with me here. I'm a white woman married to a Indian man and I love Indian food. I cook it quite well so when I eat out for Indian food, I have very high expectations. Ironically, I have a much higher spice tolerance than my husband. But whenever he orders and ask for medium spice, it's exactly right. But whenever I order and ask for a medium spice it's nowhere near spicy enough. I don't know if that is just because I sound like I can't handle my spice, but it happens every single time. But getting onto the actual taste and quality of the food. Their Panera biryani is one of my favorites, though I do like their veg biryani more my husband first appear so we usually settle for paneer. It is perfectly cooked so fluffy and delightful and oh my goodness is it abundant. One $15 container will make at least four meals. My husband and I will get one box and share it for lunch or dinner and then put it away because it will be another lunch or dinner later. And it's not like we eat a little we eat a full plate and this box is stuffed to the brim. Service--8/10. My only complaint here is regarding service. It can take a while sometimes to pick up your order, especially when they first open. And I'm not saying it takes time for it to be available because I will often arrive and see it sitting on the shelf, but no one is at the front counter to check me out. I have honestly never dined in at this location so I can only address the service in the aspect of takeout orders. Atmosphere--10/10. It is a very centralized location and a nice strip mall with accessible parking and ample at that. The interior is quite nice and what you'd expect in an Indian restaurant with beautiful cultural pieces around the interior. So if you are looking for a place to eat in this would definitely be atmospherically a nice place.

Me and my coworkers ordered a meal through DoorDash. It came so well prepared. Every single plate and sauces was wrapped to prevent leakage which clearly took so much time and effort so shout out to them for that The food once it arrived was still fresh and steaming the portions were gigantic the lamb dish that I ordered was so tender yet sweet I loved every single bit of it. Garlic naan was made to perfection. I 100% will be back and truly recommend to all.

Me and my wife visited this place for dinner. I must say it was very nice and a pleasant experience. As soon as we entered, we were greeted and made to seat right away. The food is good and I recommend trying their South Indian food like wada, idly and Dosa. For appetiser we ordered their Gobi 65 which was nice and crispy. We ordered their idly wada combo. Idly was soft and their medu wada was crispy and nice. Later for dinner my wife ordered their Rava masala dosa and I ordered their uttapam which was good. They give peanut chutney, coconut chutney and samabar which was all good. However, Rava dosa was extremely crispy which could have been bit softer and thicker. Finally, to finish our dinner we had their masala tea which was good. Their Ambiance could improve. They have a robotic server which is cool. Overall I recommend this place !!! Huge shout out to their staff they're very kind especially Swapna and Abdullah. Thank you guys !!!

The food was amazing and full of flavor. I felt the warmth from the spices and the sauces for the samosas was full of flavor. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very calm with modern architecture. I loved the very refined look/feel of the lighting and chandeliers. The service was great and my server was informative. Also very kind attitude and open for hospitality. I recommend Maa's highly and will be returning!

I have drove by countless times and always said I need to stop in! Finally my friend said for me to pick somewhere to eat and she liked Indian food! oh yay that's what brought us in! Walking in I was surprised it was like going to someone's house, the AC was just barely kicking, if even on at all, their was a huge TV showing like sexy Bollywood music videos ( !?!) lol!! the tables were nothing fancy, water was served with no ice, room temp! Not me who loves my ice cold water! lol! Sweat was already forming on my head! But hey if the foods good, I'm down with a authentic experience :) We got a bunch and shared everything, the chicken 65 was delicious and a great portion, the butter chicken with garlic Nan delicious! Dip that bread in the sauce, so good! The only one we didn't love was the veggie rice biryanI, it was so spicy and had almost no veggies in it? We asked for only a 1 spice, we actually thought they might have given us the wrong one? cause it came out later then the rest of the foods? But all in all we enjoyed our dinner here! Even learned some new dance moves while eating dinner! lol

Made it here with some true Indian friends that invited me. They did all the ordering to share with a level 4 spice; which was the perfect spot for somebody like me that likes a moderate type of spiciness. Everything was delicious and we still had enough food for leftovers. I'll definitely come back and venture into ordering myself lol The service was very good and quick. The place itself is not appealing and wouldn't recommend for a romantic date, but definitely for a 3rd or 4th if you want to show off with culinary recs in town!

Was craving some spicy indian food, so went here for the first time and loved it. Had the mixed veggie pakora (spice 3/5), veggie samosa and lamb vindaloo (spice 4/5). Loved it all. Heat level was on point and the chef was not kidding. I enjoyed the heat, however was sweating a good bit. It was nice tasty burn. The servings were plenty so I had leftovers to take home for another meal later. Loved it and will be back with more friends to enjoy the other menu options. Thanks fo rhaving me.

Great place for northern Indian food! If you're a fan of dosa, this is one of the best, and biggest! Literally. We also ordered the chicken tika and salmon tika and everything was so flavorful. Service was a little slow but, the restaurant was also fairly busy. Will definitely be back.

I lived in Hawaii, so I didn't expect much, but I was actually impressed with the two dancers. This is basically a bar, so there is a bar menu with plenty of fun specialty drinks to go along with the theme. There is food available as well. It is a bar, so don't expect to get a full meal, but rather small shareable bites. We ordered a variety and shared. Everything was so good. The staff that waited on us was super friendly and fun...and put up with the crazy girls I was with...awesome! Be advised, the food and drinks are a little on the pricey side, but you are also paying for the atmosphere, etc. The Lounge is located inside the Wyndham Garden Hotel; therefore, there is plenty of parking attached to the hotel, and it is free. You do not have to stay at the hotel to go to the Lounge; it is open to the public. Restrooms are available as well. No discounts that I am aware of.

The first thing that caught my attention was the amount of times they put food down at our table we did not order after about the 3rd or 4th time of this happening it seemed to be something they do to up the bill in hopes you don't notice. The second thing that thoroughly surprised and bothered me was after ordering another round of drinks, the second the drink was put at our table the waitress came over to check us out. No one had asked for the bill so we were all confused as to why we were being told we needed to close out, especially since we had just ordered more drinks. The waitress tells our party they have another reservation coming and they need our table... We all scramble quickly to leave so there's no issue and once we were outside that's when we realized there was no time limit on our table nor did anyone ask to close out the tab. Thankfully the hula dancers and our own group made the experience great however this place is very clearly a money grab and should not be accepting more reservations than can be handled as it completely ruined the end of our experience.

I recently had the salmon, and it was cooked to perfection--flaky, flavorful, and better than what you'd find at most dedicated restaurants. My party got several items on the menu: Malai Kofta, an assortment of breads and desserts, and the Chicken 65 Biryani. Everything was fantastic. The following week I saw that Karma was on TooGoodToGo as well. I couldn't pass up Karma suprise. The food was once again fantastic. The only thing I would change about the TooGoodToGo order would've been a little more variety in the dishes. What I got was great though. This place should be full whenever they are open. So good! I am looking forward to going back.

Me and a friend are making our way down Baymeadows road trying places we haven't ever been! We get a table and start to order we think our server couldn't hear us maybe cause I think we got different things then we ordered but hey we just ate them, lol! Everything we tried was very good, but definitely seemed like some miscommunication with our server, like we asked for mild on a dish and it came out so spicy. Despite that we ate everything and enjoyed, standout dish for me was the mushroom Nan it was SO delicious! Piping hot fresh with cheese and mushrooms in it, with butter all over!

First time visiting- it was a Friday evening with a few friends from work. Not sure when it opened…read morebut it looks brand new and was very clean. The service was a little slow and I felt like our server had to have been new. He was very quiet and not super personable. They had a good deal on their house marg, $4.99. I was underwhelmed- it was rather sweet and didn't seem to have much alcohol so I switched to beer for my 2nd drink. We initially ordered 2 queso dips until the waiter alerted us that they were $11 each, woahhh!! Appreciated him telling us though. Food wise- I don't think anyone in the group was overly excited about their food unfortunately. It was middle of the road Mexican food. The location on Southside is much better. We also waited over 35 minutes for a to-go order of a couple tacos that one of my friends put in while we were eating. I would give this place another try- hopefully it's newer and just working out the kinks

I asked to sit at the bar and had a pleasant conversation with the friendly bartender. I ordered the Four Enchilada Supreme and churros for dessert. The enchiladas were a bit dry, and the cheese one wasn't fully warmed through. All four came covered in red sauce with a large pile of lettuce, guacamole, and sour cream on top. I was a little disappointed there were no rice or beans on the side for $16. Flavor was just okay--nothing really stood out. The churros had a soft center, but the ends were on the hard side. They could've used an extra drizzle of hot fudge and a bit more whipped cream. Overall, solid service, but the food and atmosphere were average. Service: 4/5 Food: 3/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 Not sure if I would return.
