05/31/26 - I picked up 3 Irish guys @ Mystic River Irish Pub in Park Ridge on Northwest Highway…read more They were a pretty rowdy group of lads & had been drinking for awhile. They were going to Three Countries Irish Pub @ 5856 N Milwaukee Ave & invited me to join them & have a Guinness Stout. What the heck I was off the clock after dropping them off & on my way to gas up @ Costco so I thought what the heck? John bought me Guinness we chatted for a while. Cool little Irish Pub on Milwaukee

Good old basic Irish pub along Milwaukee Avenue. It's one of a few pretty divey looking places that…read moreare on the Northwest side. Three Counties has a pretty strong Irish theme. Not gimmicky like a lot of these kinds of bars but one with actual Irish owners. Of course it's also pretty cool hearing the Irish accents and not just people pretending or whatever. Authentic Irish is a pretty good description of it. It's not a too crazy place except St. Patrick's Day of course, probably because this is mostly people from the neighborhood. This isn't known among tourists or even most people in Chicago it seems. It makes it much less crowded. This is a small bar, so any crowd will make it seem crowded though. It's $5 for Guinness. They give you a big glass, lots of the Irish stuff. Has lots of authentic Irish booze. It's just lacking in the food. They have bags of chips and those kinds of things.

Just had the best time here. Had a DMV appointment nearby that went super well so I decided to grab…read morea beer before heading back to Lincoln Park. I pushed on the door and it was locked, thankfully Jennifer came to my rescue. She was tidying up from the night before but set me up nicely with a Guiness. This is an authentic Irish tavern that I will certainly be coming back to for my weekly Dive Bar Wednesday at some point (hopefully soon). It is cash-only, but I should've known better. I was hoping to meet with some regulars and get sold into staying longer but it was 12:30 and I was the only one there. As a dive bar aficionado I will def be back! Thanks again, Jennifer!

Basic looking bar along a quiet stretch of Elston Avenue. Corrib is apparently an actual Irish Pub,…read morewithout just the artificial atmosphere these are typically known for. It's kind of a small bar, but it's actually bigger than it looks. Has pretty much just beer and liquor, but what else do you need here. The drinks are pretty average on prices. About the only things on the menu are beer and liquor, not really any Irish food. It's about $7 for a Jameson. The beer and liquor selection isn't humongous, but it has the Irish basics like any good Irish pub should. Atmosphere is the other good thing here. You can have a pretty good time. Come get some free entertainment while knocking some back. There's often traditional live music and stuff, and not just on St. Patrick's Day either. Good Irish drinks. It's not much in the way of food. There's bags of chips if you need to get something.

(Kari's Rating 7.75/10)…read more TLDR -Delicious & cheap bone-in wings (18 for $22) -Local bar with tons of personality -Personable staff Came with a friend around 8 o'clock, bar was pretty crowded for a Monday with a bunch of locals watching the Cubs game. Not many people were eating, but it looked like a lot of friends here after a long day of work. Our server, Alex was extremely personable and she took our orders right away. As it was a Monday, neither of us were drinking, but she promptly brought two ice waters. I had mentioned to her that I had been here six or seven years ago, and she also said she had been here since. We came here only for the wings as I remembered and 18 wings for $22 is an amazing deal! We got six hot wings, six buffalo wings and Alex recommended the last set of wings be Cajun. There was a group of eight men at the bar, enjoying the baseball game, and I have to assume they're local by the way they were talking to each other and conversing with the bartender. I can imagine this place gets pretty busy on a Friday or Saturday evening with locals. This is such a fun dive bar feeling, with the decor being very mom and pop shop, but it also felt like there was a lot of history here-like people would fight for this bar, not to shut down. You know the space has personality and charm as Alex then chased down a lady who just left to give her her the forgotten leftovers. As our food came out relatively fast, the hot and the buffalo sauces were pretty similar, but the sauce was very thin, so it didn't clean to the wings that well. The wings were fresh and really crispy so you know they were made to order which was great. The Cajun was the absolute best as it was a dry rub, however, I feel like they should've tossed it in butter or something so the Cajun would stick as most of the seasoning had fallen off.
