In a leap of faith, I walked over and ordered the shrimp ceviche, shrimp taco and some fresh fruit. I'd highly recommend this place! The ceviche was fresh and had a very flavorful lemon taste. The shrimp taco was grilled and contained a chipotle sour cream, grilled onions and cabbage- it was fantastic! It was so good that I didn't even need to add extra salsa. Due to a scheduling clusterfizzle one of my colleagues and I found ourselves in Riverside and hungry. I had the pico de gallo fruit bowl and she had a cheese quesadilla with rice and guacamole. The fruit, like the fruit from the Mr. Taco down the street, was freaking delicious. And you get a ton of it topped with chile powder, salt and lemon. Great flavor combination. It's exactly what you'd expect regular mexican food that is slightly better than going to taco bell or del taco to taste like, a little bit more full and a lot better than fast food, but not as good as bomb mexican food. Ran across the street from the Historic Riverside Courthouse to grab a quick lunch. M Taco is a staple for the Courthouse crowd. Lawyers, litigants and courtroom staff all end up at M Taco eventually. I had the Two Shredded Beef Taco lunch with rice and beans. Not too bad, the ingredients were fresh and flavorful and the preparation was quick. My compadre had the Chicken Taquitos with just rice (by choice) and reported that it was pretty much as expected. All in all, not bad. The staff is efficient and friendly. So, if you ever find yourself in downtown Riverside, by the old, beautiful Courthouse, stop by and give M Taco a try. read more

I've been to Mr. Taco a few times before court appearances, so I've only had their breakfast burritos (which are awesome, by the way.). Today, I'm here for jury duty, so I was excited to try Mr. Taco for lunch. This is definitely a hole in the wall Mexican joint. There is no indoor seating, so you have to sit at concrete tables with umbrellas or take your food para llevar. Today is a particularly hot day, but I sat in the jury room ALL morning. Table in the shade it is... I ordered an all meat carne asada burrito...meat, onion, cilantro, and a side of salsa. What more do you need? The burrito was made quickly and came out piping hot. The carne is tender and juicy, but not enough to make a huge mess. The salsa is actually pretty spicy, but won't make you sweat (leave that to sitting outside). I never put the burrito down until (sadly) it was gone... Mr. Taco is very good, and I will definitely be back when I am in the area. However, it's nothing really to go out of your way for. On my scale of zero to King Taco (5), I give Mr. Taco a good solid 3. Enjoy! read more

Today I got to experience Mr. Taco. At first glance, the aesthetic of their building speaks good Mexican food. The presentation of Mr. Taco screams that it's a hip, trendy, and tasty spot. This is definitely the case. They tasty lifestyle that they brand is definitely the great taste that you get! I ordered the Chicken Burrito wet with everything in it. It is a nice size serving that tasted extremely fresh. The sauce had great body and flavor; wasn't too watery and wasn't overly thick. The chicken seemed to be great quality giving me the assumption that they definitely take the time to marinate and slow cook their chicken. Honestly, was a great burrito for a quick meal. Wasn't the best I've ever had but was a quality burrito with quality ingredients. My friend ordered the Chicken Quesadilla but received a cheese quesadilla. Accidents happen but I heard him clearly say chicken but the staff at the register didn't seem to be fully paying attention. So when he received the cheese quesadilla he brought it to their attention. Good customer service in my opinion they could of just replaced it at no cost but told him $1.50 more and they would add it, as if just open it up and throw some chicken in there. He decided just to keep the cheese. He said it was very tasty. So if you like a cheese quesadilla, it's a nice simple option. Don't expect them to be accountable for any errors on their side. Ok not sure what happen yesterday with my food but I ordered a shredded beef burrito with everything and Ive lost 4lb in 18 hours and my husband has also lost 3 lbs in 18 hours and we only shared the burrito .
