I had two brand new pairs of pants. One pair was denim which needed 1/2 inch takin in all the way down on both sides. The other was a new pair of Terry knit jogging pant which needed 1 full inch hem. When I got home and tried on these two new outfits, the Terry pant was only hemmed by 1/2 inch and the denim pant was ruined on one side due to the intake stitch going in the wrong direction!! The other side of this brand new denim pant was untouched. When I politely returned to the shop, and asked for refund or repair, D actually became loud and disrespectful very close to my face and would not refund or repair. Her arms quickly flaring near me, she's shouting something that I can't understand because she doesn't speak English. I asked her repeatedly, "how do you sew alterations"? "By measurements"? She said "YES"! "Well!", I said. "When I brought these requests to you, I showed you with an actual measure tape what I needed and you took these items!". She says, "because you did not try these pants on for me to hem, I'm not going to do anything". In my opinion, that is Robbery. I was very nice to D because I needed this work done. By the way, she has hemmed pants for me in the past without me trying them on first. I will not return to this shop for threat of being assaulted and ripped off. If I was going to give away this money, I would have offered it to my grandkids! If you choose this seamstress, do not allow her to use the language barrier as an excuse to take money unfairly.

Just today I went in to have a pair of shorts altered for a trip coming up this weekend. Dana assured me she could do it in 4 days and it only cost $10 to take the jean shorts in. The only reason I didn't give the shop 5 stars is because last summer I lived about 20 miles away from the shop and still returned to have a comforter sewed in a few spots. I like being a loyal customer to small businesses but I was really disappointed when I showed up a week later (the date they have me) and they hadn't started on the comforter. I think they might have forgotten about it by their reaction when I showed up. There wasn't any monetary adjustment for my time and I think just as good customer service it would have been a nice touch.
