Sons of American Revolution Conference site…read more We have greatly enjoyed National Conferences in US from Boston to San Francisco, and it is a joy to attend the Sons of American Revolution Conference at Sauder's Village in Archbold. Always something about hotel lobbies, fireplaces, and good friends that is satisfying. The Friday night buffet is BBQ, and following a week of Great Smokies's dining, we were eager to enjoy "German style" meals. Brisket was better than southern; pulled pork had no flavor; ribs were burned; great salad bar; very few veggies. Rustic-style hotel located within the Sauder Village complex, featuring an indoor pool with a waterfall, complimentary hot breakfast, and charming timber-frame architecture. Hotel is on par with nice Ohio State Park property. Our room was a suite - large inclusive living room with Great Bed. Also a special sun room is attached. Great services and service folks. Caveat: avoid rooms in pool area; we like children, but even one high pitched voice fills an area. Highly recommend.

I wasn't used to the bed, but I was able to get some sleep. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo and conditioner. They do have soap and lotion as well. There is no coffee machine in the room, but free coffee can be found in the kitchen area by the big tree. The Inn provides free breakfast. They had food items such as bagels, waffles, muffins, fruit, cereal, and more. I don't usually like breakfast at hotels so I did not each much. Additionally, there is a pool area with a hot tub. They also have a game room. I didn't get a chance to go to the game room. They do have rooms you can rent for events. We saw a crafting event and a wedding while we were here. Overall, this is an awesome Inn and I enjoyed my time. I would like to revisit with my family.

This place has bed bugs and I have pictures for proof…read more. I've already sent a review but it has magically conveniently disappeared. Not typing it all again but I will say bed bugs beware and I caught the couple that runs it in a lie that they didn't know they had them then they later admitted they knew but that they only put "druggie" looking people in those rooms. On top of that I got charged a 22 dollar cancellation fee for canceling like they just expected me to stay in their infestation of a motel. Stay away.. bad business.

Broken windows When…read morewe arrived to our room we noticed the windows in our room were broken. Went to office and asked for another room Mgr said we would have to downgrade our room. We went and looked at room 2 and found a folding table outside the door of room 2 with chairs and ashtrays all over. Open the door and the smoke smell was horrible. Went back and told him that room wasn't acceptable and Mgr said "this is a local motel, what do you expect a Holiday Inn?" Due to medical issues and the fact that we had been on the road traveling for over 18 hours and had dogs with us we ended up staying in the first room with the broken windows and spiderwebs/dirt since we couldn't find another hotel in town that would accept 2 large dogs. The Mgr also overcharged us the pet fee. The Choice website stated $15/pet and he tried to charge $20. He finally said " I guess you need the money worst than we do" and refunded the overcharge. We will definitely never return and would not recommend this motel to anyone.

We've been here couple of times and the hotel it's convenient but not much else. The king size bed…read moreit's big but not very comfy. Clean white sheets, pillows are okay and same goes for the towels but the rooms themselves are very old and need some serious updating for $$$ change per room. The breakfast is pretty bad not much choice to choose and the meat breakfast patties look like they were boiled not fried so I'm not sure how they were cooked and the eggs definitely are from powder eggs not fresh eggs by the look of the sad scrambled eggs in the tray. Waffles that you can make yourself and I think I saw some yogurt and some fresh citrus fruit. We never have any of their breakfast foods, so we don't get sick and then travel. The hotel charges a pretty high room charge per night like you are in a big city hotel and this is a small town in the middle of cornfield Ohio not even a city and here you are very far from a proper city. Napoleon town doesn't even have a good restaurant even a typical chain restaurant at least. So that is when you know you are in a small town. We had no choice since we are visiting my husband's family for an event so that is the only reason we stayed here now and in the past but soon hopefully there will be a new hotel since I see the construction build near the expressway where hopefully were we will not feel like we are paying a 3-4 star price in a 1 star hotel.
