Upon arriving, there's no one at check in. They leave your name and room key in an envelope at the front desk. I guess I'm not use to this, but it was late and I just wanted to get into my room. I had a room on the 2nd floor. It was great and very comfortable. Lots of space for 1 person. The room had a mini fridge that had several water bottles, sodas, fruit, yogurt. It was very accommodating that they provided that for their guest. One evening it was raining and I was caught in the rain.. my clothes were drenched and I decided to do laundry. It was very easy to use and I found it super convenient. I loved Hotel Sterling and will probably be back when I'm in town again.

We heard people later on that night coming and going, but never saw another soul. We had the curb-side room since my wife was on crutches. The parking is great and free. The service, while almost invisible is excellent. The rooms are outstanding. The price is reasonable. The in room refreshments are free. I only wish we could stay here more often. My one complaint has little to do with the hotel. Downtown Monroe isn't doing great and some of the shops and eateries nearest walking distance were closed. But it's Monroe. You can drive across town in 5 minutes.

The inn was beautifully and thoughtfully restored by Katie who owns and runs the inn and has a degree in architecture. Katie is wonderful host and cook. She met us on our late arrival (winter storm). She built a fire and hosted our in-laws for tea the next morning. The rooms are very comfortable and up to date. We will absolutely stay here again when we return to Maumee. Thank you Katie!

This house was lovingly restored and updated with so many quaint touches that you can't possibly take them all in. Our host couldn't have been more charming and somehow managed to both give us privacy and be there when we had questions or wanted a chat. Her culinary background shines through in her beautiful breakfast dishes and surprise cookies and cinnamon rolls (if you are lucky). The area was perfect for nature walks and our host had the perfect recommendations for food and drink nearby. Highly recommended for the wonderful stay, lovely company and spot on advice for making the most of our time.

We needed to pick up the key early since we would be arriving very late and the owner was friendly and accommodating with our request. Communicating with him was easy! The room was a nice size with a large bed, jacuzzi tub, mini-fridge, Keurig, some assorted furniture for sitting, access to a second floor patio, and some pumpkin muffins the other owner had baked and left in the room for us. It was clean, the muffins were delicious, and everything about the room was nice! The area in general was peaceful and quiet. I'm not sure if breakfast options rotate but during our stay we had blueberry soup, some of the best eggs benedict I've ever had, fried potatoes, and an amazing coffee cake. The coffee was also fabulous! The owners ate with us and we had a lively discussion until we had to leave. Overall we had an amazing time and would recommend this to anyone looking for a Bed & Breakfast!

Always something about hotel lobbies, fireplaces, and good friends that is satisfying. The Friday night buffet is BBQ, and following a week of Great Smokies's dining, we were eager to enjoy "German style" meals. Brisket was better than southern; pulled pork had no flavor; ribs were burned; great salad bar; very few veggies. Rustic-style hotel located within the Sauder Village complex, featuring an indoor pool with a waterfall, complimentary hot breakfast, and charming timber-frame architecture. Hotel is on par with nice Ohio State Park property. Our room was a suite - large inclusive living room with Great Bed. Also a special sun room is attached. Great services and service folks. Caveat: avoid rooms in pool area; we like children, but even one high pitched voice fills an area. Highly recommend.

They arranged accommodations at a Holiday Inn off the expressway 25 minutes away. They said there were several other guests who were also bummed. How does this happen? The Hotel Room rate at the Holiday Inn was $134 a night. I prepaid $353 for our reservation. Now they are refusing to provide a refund. We chose this Location because we could walk to the event we were attending. It was our 25th wedding anniversary, and we attend this event every year for our anniversary. We are celebrating and will be drinking and, of course, do not want to drive so we paid extra to stay downtown. We live an hour away and could drive home, but because we are celebrating, we made this reservation. We were over an hour late for our event. Our entire Night was ruined; I spent an hour online with Expedia. The Hilton did not treat us fairly or respectfully and did not provide comparable accommodations. Tecumseh absolutely charmed us, and part of the charm lay in this very nice little place (and I mean little, one apt. only available, while we were there) above the local coffee shop, owned by the same people as the coffee shop. So, locally owned, and getting in touch to book rooms has you calling the coffee shop, so don't be confused! Anyway, the price was very reasonable, and the loft was quaint, an efficiency apt with a living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Clean and comfortable, located on the main street and up a flight of stairs (they have one other place, a larger apt. with several bedrooms). We walked to dinner at Evans Street Station, and to the little shops up and down the strip during the afternoon. Tecumseh's quiet--if you want clubs, bars and a roulette wheel, this is not the spot for you--but if you're into the small town, quiet-getaway- experience, I highly recommend this inn.
