Well, that turned out to be harder than expected and between Chris and myself, we could not figure it out and he feared the bumper may need to be removed - yikes! So I brought my car to bob Hastings collision since they have a geico agent inside. Very convenient. They do the repairs on my car takes 2 weeks which is fine I understand how busy shops can get. I pick up my car from the shop, front end looks great, drive it home. Literally on my way home from the shop pulling into my driveway part of the coil of my strut fly's off the car and I hear the metal hit the ground. I immediately call the shop and inform them of what happened and they request I bring it back in for them to look at. So that brings us to today I drive my car back to the shop, the only place I've driven since the accident. Show them what fell off. The shop claims they did not touch any of the suspension so it's not something they did. The geico agent comes out and tells me this is not related to the crash that I was in. "It was just bad timing" So you are telling me that a piece of my car fell off right after the repairs from the accident I was in. And this has 0 to do with the accident and I would have to repair the struts not through insurance. What really happened is the geico agent didn't even bother seeing if the damage affected the suspension and the shop never repaired it so since both missed it it's on me. I will never go back to this shop and I hope that none of you do either it's a complete scam. 0 stars

The gas prices can be a little more expensive than other places nearby, and their air pump could use some maintenance, but as far as car service goes, they're wonderful. I went in for my inspection and they were able to get me in first thing the next morning. They were done in about two hours, but it was no problem for me to leave my car there until I was able to pick it up after work. More recently, I was having problems with my check engine light going off and on periodically, so I stopped there on a whim. I told them I'd be happy to leave it or bring it back when it was more convenient for them, but he came out right away to do a quick check. It was nothing serious - he fixed it quickly and talked me through what might've caused it. There was no charge for this and now I can rest easy knowing there's no crazy damage happening inside my car! I've never once felt like I was being cheated out of money or good quality service! I will always go to Park Avenue Garage for my inspections and any time I have questions or need maintenance.

We also asked for a quote on our hood latch release, as it was no longer able to pop the hood. They completed and passed the inspection, and gave us a quote for something like $400 for the hood release. I'm handy and that quote seemed ridiculous, so we declined the extra work and I said I'd do it myself. Less than a month after getting the car back, the front brakes started to grind. We're talking metal on metal. How is this possible? They just looked at it and should have failed it for pad depth, or at least *warned* us about it. I've attached photos to show the blatant neglect and disregard for safety (and the law). I highly doubt they looked at anything if they missed something so brazen. As for the hood latch, my lazy self finally got around to doing it. The only issue was a $11 bracket being bent. The whole mechanism didn't need to be replaced, but they wouldn't know because they didn't look at that either. Looking at all these positive reviews is perplexing. As someone who does all their own car maintenance and basic repairs, this is the most dishonest experience I've ever had with an auto shop. Since the business seems to be monitoring the reviews page, the car was a 2016 Kia Optima on 6/16/2022, owner's initials are BB.
