Shoutout TJ and he's team for tinting my Tesla. Bought the car about 3 months ago, been researching haven't found a fair price with great quality shop until now. Quick a friendly response, really patient and help me schedule in the next work day, Originally I thought I would like my rear side window to be 5% but then I found out it would be goofy to have this composition, so I ask if they can change it to 20%? The staff was saying it might be too late cuz they already cut the tint and ready to install, if I really want to change I might need to pay $50 bucks. But then the boss show up and said they will just throw the 5% away and change it to 20% with no extra fee! Professional Quick and smooth installation i drop the car around 2. And got the car back around 7.20.( I choose the ceramic tint with front windshield 70%, rear windshield 35%, front window 35%, rear window 20%). So satisfying glad I make the choice. It was a life warranty they told me if the tint got any problems just go back! The price was even better, the deal I got I can only do 4 side windows and maybe with one of the windshield with the other shop, I was so shocked have to triple check the price lol. Terrible service. First off quoted me a price to do a simple roof at 450$ then decided to raise the price e $100 to take off an antenna that is 2 screws. Next I get there and another increase because they had to take off railings that take literally 2 min to take off. But honestly I did not have a problem paying extra but if you quote a price and more money is needed maybe call the client. This is something they look like they do on a daily basis and yet they don't have it down. Do not go here AT ALL. Better off go to a professional when they quote you a price they stick to it. And then to ask for a positive review after taking the price up over 190$... hilarious. read more

I really hate to do this, but please save yourself the headache and DO NOT COME HERE. My first red flag should have been they were in a gas station but I like giving people chances. Background: I traded in my old car & bought a 2022 Mercedes Benz GLC300 just that Friday ( 3/10 -- this is important to remember) & wanted to get the windows tinted. I reached out on Yelp like I usually do (one with my old window tint guy and 3 new ones including M Car Window Tint). My previous tint guy who did my old car was phenomenal I had no issues but he was a little more expensive. My previous guy computer cuts and I appreciate this because it's accurate and precise. I asked M Car Window Tint if they did this and they said yes. Because of their "good" Yelp reviews & of my previous guy being more expensive ($500 ceramic vs $385 Ceramic with M Car Window Tint) I decided to go with M Car Window Tint as they were able to get me in the same day and I liked that -- BIG MISTAKE. The Day of Service (3/13): I went, dropped off my car around 3-4ish can't remember, and it was done by 7pm ish. The yelp person was nice and so were they so I can't say anything bad about that. This negative review is completely about the quality of the tint job which I think trumps any decent customer service. They weren't exceptional at all, just decent when it came to their customer service. Also, weird but the guy at the shop wasn't expecting me said Ana who I messaged didn't let him know. Ok, whatever, he got me in. My Benz comes equipped with the app where I can remote start, lock and unlock doors, check all fluid levels, battery levels, and tire pressure, and set a valet alert which can alarm me when my car is started and turned off. During the service, I didn't even think anything of it until I got an alert that said battery critical, mind you I just bought this car a few days prior to taking it here. I freaked out and called them and they reassured me they have a charger there. Ok, fine. Car was fine when I picked it up. My car is done, I pick it up, and can't say anything about the tint because it needs to cure for 3-5 days. From what I can see it looks "fine." 5 Days Post Tint (3/18): I wait the 5 days (brought it on on Monday 3/13) so I waited the 5 days (3/18). I roll down the windows & I am LIVID. There are GAPS at the top of ALL my windows on MY NEW BENZ! The back one was especially worse looking like a deep warped cut. So much for computerized cut, right. Attempt at Remedy (3/18-3/21): So rather than being an unruly customer, I message them on 3/18 to let me know I'm not happy with the service & see if they will remedy. They ask what is wrong & for pics so I explain & let them know I couldn't get pictures right now but would soon. They apologize & let me know they will figure a time to fix it. I send the pictures shortly after & let them know the lighting I took it at is hard to see. They see the pictures and silence. I message again on 3/21 (THREE DAYS LATER) at around 7pm to ask if they saw the pictures (if they needed more at a better angle I could send some) and silence again. However, it shows that they read the message. So at this point, they're ignoring me now. I gave them ONE CHANCE to remedy & they miserably failed. I was willing to allow them to fix it! I even followed up 3 days later to make sure I wasn't crazy with them ignoring me. STILL NO REPLY, just "READ". They were so quick to get me in, but when a problem presented itself, they weren't so quick to remedy? That is preposterous and unacceptable. Solution (3/22): Because of this, on 3/22, I reached out to my old tint guy to fix this monstrosity of a job & now I need to pay for a removal plus a tint job (an extra $100 for removal). I don't appreciate M Car Window Tint's remedy & would suggest anyone go to a real shop who will take care of you. I explained to my old tint guy what issues I was having & he said that I won't have those gap issues as he files down the window to make it perfect & only high quality shops do this. *sigh* this is what I get for cheating. Last note, THANK GOD I PAID WITH CREDIT CARD! Can you imagine the headache I would have had if I paid cash not hearing from them since 3/18 (it is now 3/23 *upon drafting* -- 5 days)?! I've already initiated a dispute with my card & they are handling it now as I will NOT be paying for a service that was not done properly. Especially since now I have to go get it corrected on my NEW BENZ to top it off! P.S. it wasn't until after I disputed the charge and they responded to my bank that they replied to fix it -- no thanks. My bank advised me to not communicate until the dispute was done so now I'm posting since it was complete and I was refunded my money. read more

Just got my Model 3 tinted here today I went with 5% rear and 20% front. I requested quotes from so many places, but this is the only shop that I felt gave me a reasonable price. They were also very responsive and accommodating to my requests. I originally only wanted carbon tints but Joao suggested I get ceramic and quoted me a very good price, so I went ahead and agreed to do ceramic. He told me it would take abt 2 1/2 hours but he finished in 1 1/2! When I got back to the shop, he told me it turns out they didn't have 20% in ceramic so they ended up using carbon tints for my front windows which I did not mind at all, I actually really appreciated that he was honest with me when he could've easily lied and said all 4 were ceramic and I would not have known the difference LOL He even told me he would just charge me for carbon but I still gave him extra don't worry!! Haha but to sum everything up, the results were great, I'm very satisfied with my experience here and would 100% recommend them for anyone that is looking to get their windows tinted. I don't recommend this place because film quality is not as good as 3M and tinted windows have some wave patterns especially Windshield. I removed Windshield film for wave pattern and blurry problem. Also they used too much soap for tinting which causes burrier than others. I compared with my previous car which tinted windows are clearer than tinted at this place. Price is better than other shop, but quality is not as good as others. Good thing is peoples are very nice and kind. read more

We did not ask for her to refund us or anything. SHE REACHED OUT AND OFFERED TO REFUND US COMPLETELY. My boyfriend responds back to her, accepting her offer. My boyfriend begins asking her questions about the refund that she offered to give us and she completely ignores my boyfriends messages. This is an honest review of my experience and I hope that the company uses the feedback to improve their business. I contacted M Car Tinting via their website email system. They replied quickly and friendly and on 10/5/22 we had set up an appointment for 8 am on 10/7/22. I told them that I wanted all the windows except the front windshield tinted on my Tesla Model X. They quoted me $650 for this work via email. I arrived 10/7/22 at 8am and no one was there. I called the shop and Joao thought I had an 8:30am appointment and there was another car also there at 8am claiming to have an 8am appointment. Joao was apologetic and made some calls and got someone at the site (who was actually there waiting in his car) to help us get checked in. They told me the other car that also showed up would have to come first but since I was leaving the car and picking it up before they closed at 6pm I didn't mind. After I checked in the car, I was emailed at 8:29 by whoever responds to the website mail system asking if I was still going to come in for the appointment, which was confusing and made their coordination seem disorganized. They were able to complete the car by end of day so I could pick it up, but when it came time to pay is when they dropped on me that the final price would be $790 instead of $650. I still felt this was a fair price so I decided to pay it, assuming that there may have been some mix up between the person who quoted me through email and Joao. Then he tells me that their location does not have a credit card terminal set up and that my only options were Venmo, Cash App, or cash. This was another instance of expectations not being clear at the beginning and caused me to have to go to an ATM to get cash. After paying, Joao had me put my email into his iPhone's Notes app so he could send me a receipt later. In my opinion, this is unprofessional, not a good way to stay organized with customer information, and leaves me wondering if they will be respectful in storing and deleting my information from his personal device. 4 days later on 10/11/22 I replied to the original email thread with M Car and requested my receipt be sent because I still had not received it. No one replied to this email. I had to call on 10/15/22 and Joao said he was sorry for the delay. He then had to ask me for both my email (again), and the price that I paid because he "did not have record" of when I came in. Totally unprofessional. I received my receipt via email a few minutes later but it also seemed unprofessional because I gave him my first and last name and only my first name was on the invoice. This worries me in case I ever need to come back and obtain warranty service because only my first name was on the receipt and I don't want to have any trouble proving that I paid for service on this specific car. I took the car home and was happy with the actual tint job. No bubbles, good alignment, and clean cuts. I inspected the inside and outside of the car and noticed issues. There was a haze on the outside paint that I had to take a clean micro fiber to clean off which was likely just residue from the tinting being wiped off with a cloth that was already saturated with liquid. It needed one final polishing with a clean cloth to fix that. On the inside, I found that there were liquid drip trails and spots everywhere on the doors and interior areas. I had to take baby wipes and clean all these areas that are pictured in this review. I took the car in practically fresh from being detailed, so I expected it back in the same or better condition. The installer clearly did not use any protective covering on the interior or a flashlight to see that there was residue still on the interior. There was also trash scraps of tint left in the perimeter of the trunk, adding to my feeling of lack of attention to detail for the customer. In summary: -Friendly service -Communication of the appointment got mixed up -Final price was higher than quoted despite the clear expectation of which windows would be tinted -Payment methods were not presented at the time of drop off -Interior and exterior were not detailed or cleaned up, trash scraps of tint still found in the car -Tint job itself was good read more

Absolutely worth the drive from Berkeley! I was looking for a place to get a ceramic window taint done quickly for a cross country road trip. Looked at few in the East Bay and, because of the price, tried to DIY. DIY failed but this shop popped up and I am so happy I went! The crew was really respectful and cared a lot about doing a really great tint. They estimated 3 hours for the process, and it finished in about 1.5hr! The tint came out perfect, and have had zero problems since. Actually keeps my car much cooler, and the long drives are much more comfortable with the UV blocked. Terrible service to say the least. I came here looking for a high quality window tint for my BMW, and left here with a broken sunroof. I requested a sunroof tinting for my car, and My sunroof was working perfectly fine before I took it here. But after taking it here it ended up broken. This is an expensive fix for my car, yet no one here is taking responsibility. I went back to ask about my sunroof, and see who would fix the damages. The owner refused to give me an invoice until I called the police and they showed up. After receiving the invoice I was able to continue with my insurance, but was still told he will not be fixing my sunroof. They claim that they didn't break my sunroof, but in order to tint the sunroof it needs to be done on the inside and opened carefully. And when I first received the car back from them, there was a lot of water on the inside of the sunroof, getting the inside of the sunroof moldings wet. When I asked for them to clean the water, the owner called the employee who worked on my car and started yelling at him. I highly suggest if you own a high end quality car to not come here and get your windows tinted. The window tintings aren't that great either. read more
