"If you are researching window tinting shops, Lion Window Tinting in Sunnyvale is definitely an option worth considering. From the moment I arrived, I am thankful for Lily and her husband. Their professionalism, polite customer service, and dedication to their craft are outstanding. They took the time to answer all questions clearly, explained the options without any pressure, and treated the whole tinting experience with total respect. They are also genuinely competitive and offer a truly fair price for their high-quality work. They were even kind enough to send me a great photo of the finished job when it was done, which I've shared below. You can tell they are 100% for you and truly care about your experience as a customer. It is rare to find a family business that communicates this well and takes such genuine pride in their work. I'd been putting off getting my windows tinted for a while and finally went with Lions Window Tint in Santa Clara after seeing their reviews. Glad I did. Dropped the car off in the morning and they walked me through the tint percentage options, I went with 75% on the rear. Communication was straightforward, no upselling pressure, and they gave me a realistic timeframe upfront. Picked it up same day and the install is genuinely clean, no bubbling, no peeling at the edges, and the tint is even across every window. It's been 1 month and it's held up perfectly with no fading or lifting. If you're in Santa Clara and need window tint done right, this is the spot. Would go back for my next car. read more

Used their services during 7/26/2025 as well as 7/11/2026 and both appts for window tinting at their Sunnyvale location went very well! During summer of 2025, I had originally just wanted my two side windows in the front of my Lexus NX to be tinted, as the rear already were by the manufacturer (not truly tinted, but colored) and during that time, I saw the owner, Levon Gharibyan, and he was very easy to speak to and provided excellent customer service. He kindly explained to me and showed me how the tinting process works, which I appreciated, as I had no idea about how the process works at the time. At the end of the appt, after the side windows were tinted, Levon showed me his vehicle parked in the front, that he has his front windshield tinted and that if I'm interested in doing that, to come back and they can do so in the future. Back then, I didn't think much of it and thought tinting my side windows were enough. However, I noticed the interior of my car seemed to get hotter and hotter as the warmer months came and I felt that my arms were constantly feeling hot and that I was getting a tan each time I commuted in the afternoon after work, even if the drive was only a few miles and about 17-20 min. I looked into this, about the benefits of tinting your front windshield and remembered what Levon told me and that's why I decided to return during July 2026. I sent a message and got a reply from this business right away for when I could schedule the appt. Maybe it was because of the later time my appt was at the 2nd time around (at 11am vs 9am for the 1st appt) or the fact that there was a dance class going on next door, but the parking area was almost at capacity during the Saturday I stopped by, which was a bit of a surprise. I made a loop around the parking lot the 2nd time and found a spot and I appreciated how the kind staff, Lily, who had greeted me had offered to let me borrow her car if I needed to, during the time I was going to be waiting. I fully expected to just wait around in their waiting area and was totally okay with that - the appt took about an hour and a half. They have a restroom in the back if you need to use it. The tinting done on the windshield is excellent and I was satisfied with the results! I was advised to return if there were any bubbles that didn't disappear after a day, but the few that were present had vanished so there was no need for that. I was also told to return to get my dash cam that was mounted on the front windshield to be remounted (as they had to remove it to apply the tint, otherwise it will not look right if they worked around it), and they even placed a replacement double-sided adhesive on the unit which I didn't notice initially, however, I appreciated them doing this as it was thoughtful. After a few days, I ended up remounting the dash cam on the windshield myself as it was easy to do so, but I appreciated their offer for them to help with this. After getting the front windshield tinted, I will say there is absolutely a noticeable difference with the temperature inside the car and my arms don't feel as hot and I'm not easily getting a tan, so it truly is beneficial to tint your windshield, I can attest to this. For reference, I chose their Ceramic XPEL XR Plus at 70% for the front windshield and 20% for the side windows. After using their services twice, I can say without a doubt that I most highly recommend Lion Window Tinting if you're looking to get tinting done, their work is high quality and their service is great! read more

Full tinting all glass requested for a Tesla Model Y 2026, around $2.2k but I bought through Tesla App. They provide great service, and are very quick to follow up. Book an appointment with them. Mine took about 4 hours to complete. They have seats you can wait and do work if you need with snacks and refreshments. She went over different tint options and showed me how they look, and gave me recommendations. She also gave me a card for future use if I needed car detailing. They provide lifetime warranty on manufacturer defects and also many other services like wraps, I would check out their website. read more

Lion Window Tinting - Best tint job , perfection!! - Car Window Tinting Near Me - Sunnyvale, California

Avoid this shop. A business with shady practices, terrible customer service, and zero respect for property shouldn't exist in Sunnyvale or the Bay Area. If a provider can't handle your vehicle with care, they shouldn't offer services. I brought my brand-new Rivian R1S (under a month old) in for window tinting. They were friendly initially, but that changed instantly when an issue arose. Within 20 minutes of driving home, I discovered major damage and mess: a deep, nail-sized scratch down to bare metal near the driver's door handle--clearly from a sharp object's forceful impact, not normal driving. Fixing bare-metal damage on a new car requires repainting the entire panel, costing several thousand dollars. There was also plastic abrasion near the front left tire and white paint handprints left here and there. I drove back immediately. The mother at the counter who took my business completely ignored me and pawned me off on her teenage-looking son. I was then put on the phone with the owner (the father), who overreacted with hostile, intimidating aggression while trying to "educate" me with complete nonsense. He denied all responsibility, blaming me for not doing a full exterior paint inspection before leaving--an absurd expectation for a simple tint job. I reminded him I had left just 20 minutes prior and couldn't have caused such severe damage in that timeframe, but he refused to listen. I walked away with a damaged new car and zero resolution. Do not trust them with your vehicle! read more

Got 35% XPEL XR black ceramic window tint on 5 windows (4 sides + 1 rear) $535. Called them to make the appointment and it was easy. The service was fast. I haven't noticed any immediate bubbles. I'm not a smoker but you can definitely smell the environment in/around your car when you get it back that maybe the employees smoke. I don't think they have a restroom for customers bc the door to their work area had the bathroom placard on it. Price seems on the lower range of middle tier option average when I asked around for quotes. read more

Had a great experience with Lion Tinting! Reached out to several different highly rated tint shops and Lion offered the best rates. He wasn't pushy at all and was very patient with giving me different quotes for different possible options. I had to wait an additional couple of weeks to get my tint done as it was a pricey purchase, but he was very chill about it and was able to get me in quickly when I reached back out to him after I was ready. After deciding on tint film, he was able to get me in the next day and completed the car in a couple of hours. It was a very straightforward and professional process. I highly recommend this shop and will be going to them for future car tint needs. Thank you again! read more

Did two front windows with XPEL premium coating. They did a fantastic job and so far so good. Their prices are competitive.

Not a Random Pick -- I Researched Thoroughly Before Choosing This Shop As a researcher by training, I don't pick shops lightly. I looked specifically for authorized dealers of top-tier brands like XPEL, and I paid attention to detailed, specific reviews rather than generic ones. I requested quotes from 3-4 shops before landing on Lion Window Tinting -- their communication was immediately direct and transparent, which sealed the decision. A Spotless Workshop You Can TrustOne of the cleanest, most organized workshops I've seen. If you can't pick your car up on time, they'll keep it safely inside overnight. Run by a Former Chemistry Professor -- Expertise You Can TrustLily stood out -- professional, transparent, and genuinely charismatic, with a strong work ethic. She's a former chemistry professor, so you're in knowledgeable, science-backed hands for the technical side of tinting. You can also enjoy some tasty imported candies and coffee while you wait. They Take Care of Your Car Like It's Their OwnI went with the clearest film available on all windows, plus a strip on the windshield. Extremely happy with the outcome -- the strip in particular makes a real difference cutting glare. A Special Thank You -- The Trust Goes Both WaysThere was a delay on my end with the payment transaction, and Lily trusted me enough to let me drive away with the car while she simply waited for it to go through. That kind of trust says a lot about how they treat customers. One Note: This is a family-run business that recently moved to the area, so they don't have many reviews yet -- but the quality is already there. Highly recommend giving them a shot. read more

What an amazing experience from start to finish with Lavon, the owner of Lion Window Tinting. I reached out pretty late through Yelp, honestly not expecting a response right away but he got back to me that same night. He answered all my questions, gave me a fantastic deal, and even booked my appointment on the spot. Today was my appointment, and I went with the XR Plus ceramic tint, which is top-of-the-line and comes with a lifetime warranty. Lavon is also a certified XR Plus dealer, which gave me extra peace of mind. If you're going to tint your car, don't go cheap this film blocks 98% of UV rays, and you instantly see and feel the difference. You really do get what you pay for. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, Lavon gave us excellent customer service. He made sure we got exactly what we wanted, and the whole process took about an hour. I ended up paying $636 for everything (not including tip) 5% tint on the rear windshield and back seats, and 20% on the front. Honestly, the best deal I could find anywhere. Lavon is a very personable guy he had us laughing from beginning to end, and he truly came across like family, which I really appreciated. He's fun to talk to, extremely knowledgeable, and clearly takes pride in his work. His shop is spotless, and it's run entirely by family, which says a lot about the kind of business he's built. Not everyone can pull that off, but they do it perfectly. Lavon clearly values quality work and customer service over just making a quick buck, and that really stands out. I'm more than pleased with how my car turned out it looks amazing. Do yourself a favor: if you're looking for a top-notch tint shop, you've found it. I did the research so you don't have to. Oh, and one last thing don't leave without grabbing one of their business cards. It's the most baller card I've ever seen: black and gold, and it actually has some weight to it. I'll be posting a photo of it soon. All the great things people say about Lavon are 100% true. He's the man! Thank you much!! read more
