And that's just for the adults!! ;) After getting the keys to our new minivan, we headed straight to Eighty8 Auto Customs, which prides its business on over a decade of auto expertise and military-level attention to detail. The owner, T, is a marine and combat veteran. He's honest, knowledgeable, helpful in recommendations, and extremely skilled in his craft. He shared the options for tint and after hearing his non-salesy, low-pressure spiel, we decided on the Llumar IRX tint. This was the flagship tint and maintains maximum cool temperature of the interior. Although it is the priciest tint, we decided that it was like investing in a Yeti cooler vs. and off-brand. Buy once, cry once!! The workmanship of the tint was incredible. Everything was hand-cut (vs. machine) for a truly customized install. The interior does feel much cooler than before and even though we opted for the darkest tint (5%), we could still clearly see from the inside out just as easily as before. When I contacted him for an estimate, out of dozens of businesses, he's still got the lowest price and best work and quality materials so he's solid in my book (3M Ceramic IR). I'd recommend him anytime. When I contacted him for retint, the process was easy. Told him what I wanted, he had close availability and took around 2-3 hours. I changed it up to 25% front, 70% clear windshield with a 4 inch 5% black tint strip on the top of the windshield. Solid work.

Short version: Had my car tinted by iPro in 2025. One year later, the film begins to peel. I…read morereached out to iPro with the warranty card, Cesar reads the messages then ghosts me. Reached out to the tint film manufacturer and they told me that the warranty card is invalid and iPro is not an authorized dealer of their films, and they did not obtain their films directly from them, so they are unable to assist. Now stuck with a peeling tint just after one year of usage. Long version: I had my car tinted by iPro in June of 2025. Then again for a different untinted window in May 2026. In June 2026, I began to notice the window tint installed in 2025 began delaminating/peeling from the window. This is on the rear glass. I rarely ever had passengers in the back and when I did, they are usually not messing with the windows for any reason. Car is kept in a garage so I am unsure why its peeling. Anyway I reached out to Cesar with the warranty card I received after the tint installation in 2025. iPro uses SunTek ceramic window tint films in their shop, and it is the one I had installed in my car. Cesar initially asked which part of the car was peeling, and I had provided him photos over text. After reading this, he began to ignore my communication over text and calls. After being ghosted by Cesar, I reached out to SunTek directly for assistance. Upon their investigation, they concluded that iPro is not an authorized dealer of SunTek films and the warranty card that I received from Cesar is invalid and not a real warranty card. They said since it is not a real warranty card, they are unable to assist any further. So now I am stuck with a peeling window tint just after 1 year of usage. I will be going to a different authorized dealer to get my windows re-tinted. While Cesar gave good prices for his tinting services, I would not recommend this place to others. I will be filing a complaint with the California Bureau of Automotive Repairs.
