So I came into this store this morning to rent a simple $7 a day utility dolly for my move. The…read moreperson who was apparently able to this to me was not there and the man who was was extraordinarily rude and completely unhelpful. There was one other customer waiting to rent something and when the man asked us what we were there for he said "That's not my job, I only work here." If you work there why are you incapable of renting me a simple dolly? When the woman who's job it was to do these things finally rolled into work 20 minutes late she brought in her giant dog, it immediately started coming up to me and the other customer. When she finally took away her dog and ushered me into her nook she tried to photocopy my credit card! That's not ok! Basically these people are rude, unprofessional, late and possible credit card thrives. After this experience with a simple rental there is no chance I would ever consider them for any auto repair needs and you shouldn't either.

I pass Baseline Auto on my way to work everyday and was very happy with the customer service I received over the phone when I was calling and pricing various places. I don't have a fancy car, but I am picky about who takes care of it and LOVED my mechanics back home. I was able to schedule my service for the next day luckily and was given a price before the work was started to make sure I was okay with it. Waiting room is comfortable, staff is friendly, complimentary coffee and bottled water. I'm a fan of Baseline Auto.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!…read more I brought my car in for an oil leak after hitting something in the road. They did inspect it, but recommended not fixing it because they considered it a small leak and said it was essentially part of owning a Jetta. That explanation didn't make much sense to me since the car had no leak at all before the incident. I was also told it was minor, but my garage floor is now covered in oil, which doesn't feel "small." And it continues to leak every day.

What was truly awesome was that they fixed my front right bumper without cost since it wasn't hanging on the greatest. That was a great surprise to come out to. Everyone was professional and very kind. I highly recommend taking your vehicle over to them. Definitely fair in pricing when compared to a dealership.

When I followed up multiple times, I was only told they were "still looking." Eventually, I was told the car had misfired and then stopped, but they could not identify the cause or recommend a repair. Any time I had a question, I was told to take it to a dealership. Even after I simply asked if the car was safe to drive, they just said "I don't know. Take it to the dealership." I understand that some issues can be intermittent, but I expected at least basic diagnostic information (such as codes pulled or which cylinder was affected), or a clear next step. They didn't even have anything in writing for me to take when I picked up my car. The lack of communication and unwillingness to provide even an estimate was frustrating and the whole thing was a waste of time.

They took one…read morelook at it and told me it was going to need an engine because it was knocking, then offered to buy it off me for about $1,500. I couldn't hear the knock but I was going to believe them, just figured they knew what they were doing and they're a reputable shop. I was about to sell it to a junkyard today and again I couldn't hear the knock so I figured id get a second opinion from another shop in boulder. (I know this should have been the first thing I did lol) Turns out the engine was completely fine, it needed a new accelerator pedal sensor and that was throwing the car into limp mode. I had already bought a new car and I just fixed my old one for about $100 and ten minutes of work; because I trusted them and didn't get a second opinion I'm stuck with two functional cars! I have a hard time believing they purposely misdiagnosed the problem to try and buy the car off me for significantly less than it was worth, but who knows. I'm really just confused by the whole thing, I thought I was going crazy trying to hear a knock in a perfectly healthy engine. The one thing I do know is that I wouldn't recommend this shop. Could have been an honest mistake, or there could have been some malicious intent, who knows. Regardless of the reason it happened they f***ed up and the whole thing has been a massive, unnecessary inconvenience.

If you own a Toyota and live anywhere even remotely close to the Boulder area, you would be crazy not to take your vehicle here. Seriously, he and his team are that good. I recently took my old Toyota truck to Charley to have a number of known issues resolved and, rather than trying to upsell me on things I didn't need, Charley explained - in practical terms - the root causes of the issues and provided options. His quote was staggeringly reasonable (even that is an understatement) and everything he explained was logical and represented true "need" for my Truck. He did not just fix my truck, he gave it new life! Fantastic work by him and his team. So happy to have discovered Charley's Garage.
