Where they really excel is exhaust work and those irritating little jobs (replacing a starter, for example) that a dealership would want a kidney for. Brakes, oils changes, figuring out why your car won't start.... even if you live half an hour away, you will probably save money by bringing the vehicle to r&m. After the vehicle was fixed correctly it was found that the failure was at the same point was…read moreoriginally repaired. That I was charged for machine work that was not done, they lost a retaining spring on one of the rocker arms that could have caused catastrophic engine failure and that they over torqued and ruined a glow plug that was frozen into the head. I spent as much money correcting the mistakes that were made as I did fixing it. Their warranty has no stipulation about anything thing other than it was voided if anyone diagnoses the problem other than them. When it failed it took it directly to them for diagnosis. They also trying to get more money from me said that the engine needed replacing. The chances of a head gasket blowing in the same place 10K miles apart on a 7.3 Powerstroke are infinitesimally small if the work was done correctly. They just did not want to correct their mistake. It is sad that they say they "stand behind their work" when in reality it is exactly the opposite. It is their right to say anything they would like, but know they will find a way to rip you off or charge you more if they can.
