UNETHICAL & DISHONEST This tow service received a call from my insurance company to bring my car to my mechanic. M&W was supposed to call me before they arrived since I needed to ride along. LUCKILY I went outside to get something out of my car even though they hadn't called yet. I WAS SHOCKED to see they had arrived already and actually went into my car, started it, and already had it on their truck!!! We asked the driver not to put the car where he was dropping it and did it anyway. The driver pretended to not speak English. The 10 year old he had illiga working with him was trying to translate but the driver still ignored the request, then went down a one way street backwards to go out of his way to drop the car where we asked him not to, parked the wrong way on a one way Street in the few spots we have for waiting service cars. This is the absolute worst business I have encountered in my life. You will never want to voluntarily dobusiness with them - only forced to if your apartment complex uses this scam of a business. My vehicle got towed in my apartment complex lot. I called this towing company as they are on the sign outside my building. I was told by the receptionist it would cost $475 to retrieve my vehicle, although they advertise $150 towing fee and $25 per day storage. This was inaccurate and I had to pay $330 in cash. After fumbling around with her phone and trying to find out where my car is, the receptionist gave me an address in Middlesex. I went to their lot in Middlesex - which is in the woods behind a warehouse. A man in their lot was rummaging through cars!!! I got his attention and he said he works there - however he wasn't working today (Then why are you rummaging through somebody's glovebox and backseat?). He let me look for my car, however it wasn't even there. So where is my car? I call back and the receptionist has no idea other than for me to talk to my leasing office. My car had been in another lot of my apartment complex the entire time. Therefore, I had been charged for gas mileage, storage of my car, even though they towed it less than 1000ft to another part of the lot. The mileage and storeage costs they charged me were completely made up! This goes to show, this place will make up FAKE NUMBERS and SCAM you. I wasted hours of my day and only got most of my money back. I will be filing with the Division of Customer Affairs and Better Business Bureau so this unethical business can be made aware of. They left white paint on my windshield, and when I called the same receptipnist gave me attitude and said I need to scrape it off with a razor. What a joke - it came off with isopropyl alcohol. They will take whatever they can get away with, however threatening to call the police seems to make them give you a refund. Makes you wonder why they are so afraid of the police. read more

I was traveling on Rt 22 the other evening when my SUV started lurching and jamming. Warning lamps for traction control and all wheel drive started flashing and I knew I needed help. I made my way off of the highway and called for a tow. AAA+ dispatched M&W Towing. They said it would be within an hour and M&W arrived in a little over 40 minutes. I checked them out online while waiting and I was bit shocked by their low ratings on Yelp. As I read some of the comments I realized that they do police tows and most people who have been towed by the cops are not happy to pay for towing, storage and whatever stupid thing the did to have the police take their vehicle. When the M&W driver arrived he skillfully aligned his flatbed, knew exactly where to put the chains for my vehicle, winched it up and secured it for transit. I requested that he bring it to a local mechanic I use. He knew the place and he dropped my car exactly where the mechanic requested. He locked up the car that contained some expensive sporting equipment and put the keys through the after hour key drop at the shop. I could not ask for or expect better service. read more

Car got towed by police over night because registration was past due 8 days in Plainfield . Was my mistake and take full responsibility but when I got the car released and gave me the company who tow it. Drove there to pick it up and they were trying to charge 875 plus tax and fees for 3 days n towing and asked for a bill and said sorry no bill pay cash only or you don't get car back . I went back to the police station and complain to them and they came to the place because on the police website there is a price list of what it should cost not what they feel like charging you . There was other people there that barely spoke English that were getting charge double and getting taken advantage of because of the lack of not knowing there rights or knowing what to do. If you go there and look at there trucks they are running a business with none commercial plates doing there tows be on the look out . read more

They accomplished the transportation of my vehicle just fine. However the driveway that the vehicle needed to be removed from had a dip. After informing the driver of this he still proceeded to drag his truck along with the suv that he was towing out of the driveway damaging both the driveway and sidewalk. Management completely ignored me when I informed them of this. read more

This is the WORST towing company I have EVER had to deal with. The office girl barely spoke English & was EXTREMELY RUDE! They had me waiting for a tow truck for 2 hours & 10 minutes, when it should have only been 1hour or less. Then they try to charge me more then what I was supposed to get charged because my insurance company pays most of a tow charge. I would NEVER recommend anyone to use them... & if you really need a tow truck, your better pushing your vehicle because you will get there sooner then to have to wait for these guys. The manager there is an idiot. She hung up on me. They've towed my truck 2 times previously. It's a 1997 Chevy Express Van 3500 series. I have AAA and needed the truck to go literally 3 blocks on a flatbed to my mechanic. She refused to tow it stating that it's "too big." Really? They have towed it twice before. Completely unprofessional. Then she tried to say, they will take it 3 blocks for $100 when they've never charged me before. Then she lies to AAA saying we've paid them previously. Complete liar and so unprofessional. I would NOT recommend these folks ever. Just google my truck and tell me if it's too big? They've towed it before, the last time being June 13, 2010 and they towed me 7 blocks at no charge. This is ridiculous and the so-called "manager" should be fired immediately. She has absolutely no customer service skills at all. read more
