Ok, i have been coming here for years for my Star smog checks. The technician is wonderful he is so nice. He actually makes small talk so you do feel welcome. He works alone but is really quick. Its a shared lot with other auto shops, but ive never had a problem going in or out. The price is in line with other shops for the same service. read more

I'm giving two stars cause... I've been here before, the older gentlemen was very nice and made the process easy for my mom and I. Even gaping so far as calling us "mother" and "daughter" during our visit was was kinda creepy but might just be his way of giving customer service so I shook the weirdness off. It was a great price too, about $60! I've kept this place in mind for my smog check needs. Fast forward to now, I have a completely different car but he remembered me from my previous visit. I told him that I had came for a smog check and let him take care of the rest. However I had to leave before a smog test was paid for/administered...or so I thought. I didn't pay the $85 (it had gotten more expensive?) but he still took the time to FAIL me...because I had to leave? I had to find out the hard way and honestly, I can not vouch for a business that seems to have taken an emotional stance rather than a professional one. I'll be taking my car elsewhere from now on. If the owner or servicer is reading this: I'm sorry I hurt your ego but you should be more professional when someone doesn't give you service at the time being. read more

Went here for a smog and began the process & made us pay and sign & 10 min later tells you it can't pass & begins yelling rudely to fix the problem first when he is the one who didnt OBD test it first.. Stopped here for quick smog of my new vehicle before heading to the DMV since it was in the vicinity of my residence. Conveniently placed between an auto repair shop and an oil change shop. Ample parking available. In and out in less than 10-20 minutes. Price was $60 total. Owner was decent to deal with. Mainly for those passing by and that live near or around the area. Being surrounded by auto repair and oil change shops as well as a tire shop is a plus. Traffic on Rosecrans Ave. can be a bit of a hassle during peak times, especially if you are in a rush. Worth the visit. Would use them again. read more

Lack of customer skills, I spoke to an older Asian man with some very rude and intrusive questions. I don't need you to comment and question about my tags and my car. I'm here to pay for a service not for your damn opinion! You made my sister and I feel so uncomfortable. If you are reading this go down to Long Beach & Compton Blvd it's next to the gas station $10 cheaper for smog and he gives out waters ice creams and sends you home with a box of cookies. This guy sucks. Came in for a smog after reading a fellow yelper stating he paid $60 for an oil change and a smog. This fool told me it would cost $70 for a smog only. Told him he was too expensive. He told me that I could leave! What an ass! read more

No customer service skills. Went in to get a smog check on my RV. I asked him how much would he charge? He gave me the price of $100 to which I replied, oh I usually pay $70. He immediately snapped and said, " no you leave!" I was so stunned that his response was to kick me out as if I offended him. Needless to say I left. I Don't recommend this place. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else. read more
