It's a little on the expensive side, but then so are a lot of grocery stores these days. I would say that the big box stores like Walmart have cheaper groceries if you want to keep it local, and this is a nice option and they have some good local Goods.

We had the shrimp poboy and fries- which we split between two people and were plenty full. They have Cajun seasoning, hot sauce and plenty of napkins on the tables. You can eat indoor or outdoor. Plenty of drink selections!! The place is clean and you can even watch the fryers through a window. We had a poboy in New Orleans a few weeks before and it was no comparison to the one we had at Old Tyme--filled with large shrimp and plenty of them. We would detour here again. It is not a grocery store anymore...but a darn good place to eat. Lots of college vibes for the local university as well. Nice bathrooms that have funny decorations for him and her.

I ordered the shrimp and my husband ordered the ham po-boy (halves). I counted almost 30 popcorn shrimp in mine and there was at least four layers of ham on the ham one. The service was quick. Our order was delivered to our table which is in a small bar area a step up from where you order. We were in town just for one night or else we'd be back tomorrow night!

Some highlights here are the meat department and the pharmacy. They have a great selection of meats, often pre-seasoned and their prices are really nice. I stock up for my freezer here regularly. I just recently had a prescription to fill and I took it here and have since transferred all of my prescriptions here because customer service was stellar. It took about ten minutes for them to fill it, everyone I dealt with from the clerk to the pharmacist were super friendly and knowledgeable and there's a drive thru to drop off and pick up if you're not needing to go in the store. All in all a great grocery, pharmacy and gas station that you shouldn't pass up!
