"Gentle eyebrow threading" is absolutely on point. I've had my eyebrows threaded many times and by far this was the least painless. It was also quick! If I could give it 0 stars I would. I went here thinking the service was the same as the one I go to in San Leandro. After she was finished she asked me how it look and i noticed that the right side of my eyebrows was significantly thinner than the other side. I tried to tell her that she messed up but she said it looked "fine", even my friends told her it looked bad but she said "everyone" has a different perspective. Really really bad work. read more

Reema and Reena are the most charming sister duo in the world! Ugh, they are so cute and friendly and act so youthful!!! Anyway, Reema did my brows for me, and I was really impressed (especially since this was my first time having my brows threaded). She took the time to listen to how I wanted my brows and would show me periodically her progress. Reema finished the threading with an oh-so-soothing mini-face massage with aloe vera. Admittedly, I walked home with heavy eyelids and wanted to fall asleep. Also, random anecdote: a guy from Revolution Books walked in while I was having my brows done and asked Reena (who was at the front desk) if he could get his brows done for free. He never had them fixed before, and he wanted to try it. Any other salon wouldn't have obliged, but Reena took it in stride and with friendly humor gave him his threaded eyebrows. I left before I could see the result, but I'm pretty sure it was very good. Reena and Reema were having a blast with this novel customer. They gave me a card to collect my visits on so that I could get a free eyebrow threading on the 10th visit - fun! This place is SO worth it. read more

I've been getting my eyebrows done at M&M for years and I've never had any issues. The staff is friendly and efficient. They take direction well but you do have to be very clear as English is not the first language for most of the staff. If you're getting your eyebrows they give you a mini aloe massage (varying in length and quality depending on who is there) when you're done! I gave the fifth star for how cheap the service is - $10 for eyebrows (w/o tip). read more

Sadly disappointing. My threader was a younger girl who spoke only a few words of English to me, so perhaps I didn't get the Reema experience that all the yelp reviews rave about. 1. My left eyebrow is now thinner and shorter than my right one :( Sigh. 2. The threader must have pinched my skin while threading because I had 3 painful tiny (1mm) wounds above my left eyelid that scabbed over the next couple days. I've never had that happen before so maybe this threader was less experienced? She also broke the thread 5 times during the session so maybe she was just angry and taking it out on me. Just kidding, but the thread breakage was also a record for me. 3. I had purchased a Groupon for 2 eyebrow threading sessions and I presented the Groupon upon arrival. She marked it as redeemed on my phone app but afterwards I discovered she wasn't aware the Groupon was different from the yelp discount because she asked me to pay $8. I tried to explain that I had already paid for the Groupon and was using the voucher to "pay" for the service. She didn't seem to believe me but because of the language barrier, I wasn't sure if she understood what I was saying. She eventually accepted it but she was so doubtful that I got really flustered and ended up tipping enough to cancel out the discount I got from the Groupon because I felt so awkward. I walked into a nice, clean and friendly atmosphere. The young lady at the desk was very nice and she was the only one there. She asked me to sit down and as I was sitting I noticed they had witch hazel on the counter. I told her I'm very allergic to witch hazel. She said ok. She then threaded my eyebrows. When she was done she spraid something on a cotton ball and I assumed it wasn't the witch hazel because A. I told her i was very allergic and B. the witch hazel bottle wasn't a spray bottle. Immediately as she put it on I had a reaction. I asked her, is that witch hazel in the spray bottle? She replied "yes, witch hazel." I told her " Remember I told you before that I'm highly allergic to witch hazel." She apologized and offered me 20% off. After I tipped her I had saved $2. I'm very upset with this situation. My eyes are super red, bumpy and puffy! I ended up having to get medication to stop the allergic reaction from getting worse! I'm super bummed cause I read all the reviews and it seemed like a super legit place. She should have not charged me and offered me something. They are extremely lucky I'm a chill chick cause I could have went off!!! read more
