They had 4 options - regular Philly cheesesteak ($13 and $2 extra for cheese whiz), Omaha cheesesteak (with corned beef), Korean cheesesteak (bbq sauce and more spicy toppings) and Buffalo chicken. My co-worker and I were thrilled to get the Philly and she didn't want the green pepper which they were happy to accommodate. Came in a nice take away box. We were both really pleased with our meals and had a super nice lunch together. I hope they come back again! Nice people running the food truck and they accepted cash or card.

Some of them were what you'd expect for a $17 food truck lunch (which is typically a lot more expensive than fast food however you're getting something a bit more healthy, and it helps to support self-employed workers in the food business), while some of them were kind of dry. Unfortunately my bowl was one that turned out dry. If I was the only one that received a barely mediocre lunch I would have said something, unfortunately the other people I was with didn't feel comfortable with calling out the cooks for serving them overpriced stuff thrown into a bowl so we just dealt with it and moved on. Somebody sitting next to me had a Korean bowl that looked so darn good I almost begged for a bite LOL. This place has potential however they were more concerned about that quick $17 than giving their customers a 'true' $17 meal.

I ordered Pardon My Cheesesteak through GrubHub one day when my car was out of service. I had seen them before on the delivery apps, but every single time, each cheesesteak on the menu was covered with onions and had no way to remove them. Luckily, GrubHub finally added that option to customize. For my first delivery order, I got the Chicken Cheesesteak, fries, and some extra cheese sauce for dipping the fries in. Fists off, I liked that the bag the items came in was "Pardon My Cheesesteak" branded, and not just IHOP branding, like a lot of ghost kitchens do. It was cute and bright yellow with fun little caricatures of the creators (I assume) on the front. The Chicken Cheesesteak was pretty high quality, with a smoky flavored chicken filling on a hoagie bun. It had lots of cheese in it that gave a great cheese pull when taking a bite. After a while, the chicken did get a little dry in the "mouthfeel" arena. So the next time I ordered, I did the normal shaved steak for the protein, and that fixed it right up. The fries were ok, kind of just standard as fries go. These did come in an IHOP container so that was where I figured out where the ghost kitchen is run out of. One thing I noticed about the extra cheese dip I ordered for the fries, is that it was a different flavor and color than the cheese that came on the cheesesteak. More of a white cheese dip than the orangey colored cheese that was on the sandwich. I'm not sure why that would be, but I just rolled with it because both cheeses did taste good. Now the star of the show that I didn't get to mention yet, was the dessert - the Donut Dippers. These were little heavenly balls of donut dough that came with an icing dip and a caramel dip. Heat the little dough balls up in the microwave and *chef's kiss*! These were a winner, definitely. If you're stuck at home and looking for a delivery option, there are a lot to pick from. But there aren't a lot of cheesesteak options, - so if you're looking for that, I'd recommend trying out Pardon My Cheesesteak!

I came to Pepper Jax in the Old Market to see if it's a more affordable spot than other places to eat here. And...with my bill coming to $15 for an entree and tip, it's not, really. But it is faster than other places and is convenient. I got a rice bowl with sausage and all the grilled vegetables, including jalapeño and banana peppers. She asked me if I wanted something (I forget what they called it but it is the juice from the pepper jars). Yes please! I don't like cold toppings on hot rice bowls (lettuce? No thanks). But I did get more jalapeños and banana peppers put on there. "You like it spicy." She said; she made sure things were the way I liked them. I appreciate that. There were not a lot of customers dining in (zero actually, although there were some people getting food to go). It is a large space there, and dimly-lit. It did not seem appealing in the winter evening, though it is probably nice on a sunny day. So I took mine back to my apartment. It is a big meal. I did have enough left over for breakfast and lunch, so that made it a better value.
