Hello and thank you for following this fifth wheel purchase process from Explorer USA, Alvin, Texas…read more(Houston location.) Purchased Forest River Impression 26RET on March 13th, 2018 after we had looked at a few other dealerships; and decided to purchase a brand new RV with warranty from a local dealership. We had to purchase and sign all the paperwork before they would make the unit ready "That's our policy!" - Really??? Never done an RV purchase quite like that before, this is about our eighth RV, have had a Class A, two Class C's, two Fifth Wheels and two pull behind Travel Tailers in the past... Not totally new to the RV purchasing. RV ready to pick up on March 30th, 2018. Yes, that is 17 days later... Noticed not been cleaned inside, was told by Jeremy in service, their two cleaning people had called in sick today, really, you had 17 days to make this RV ready... Also, had already received our first bill in the mail before even taking possession of this unit. Wow!!! We noticed bubbling of the slide panel now it was outside in the sunshine and one of the dining chairs rocked, one window wouldn't close and lock, TV had no sound, DVD player didn't work... Well after a few hours the minor things were fixed and we received a "We Owe You" for side panel, dining chair and Tracy (then service manager) agreed to install a TV in the bedroom for all the problems and trouble, very kind of him. Justin - General Manager, Tracy - Service Manager, Jeremy - Service Technician and Grant Miles our very kind, polite and non-pushy salesman, really I would highly recommend Grant, were all present during these few hours prior to leaving their lot with our new RV. Informed parts would be ordered and call us to bring the unit in when they arrived. After a few texts and phone calls the last two days its now May 10th, 2018 and Steven Davis, new service manager informed me the RV has to be brought in before the parts can be ordered, because that's their policy and we will have to put a deposit down, what??? I believe he understood and stated "You are getting upset" which I assured him he was absolutely correct and he would not want neither myself or my husband showing up after what we had been told initially. Texted Grant Miles and informed the next person calling me better be Justin. Less than an hour later Steven Davis called, was very polite and stated they would make an exception and go ahead and order the parts without the RV there, and would I please send some pictures. It would probably take a couple of months for the chair to be made... I look forward to hear back from Explorer USA, Alvin really soon and expect the parts will arrive in an expeditious fashion... I would really love to give this RV dealership a chance to make it right, headache and all, and give them Five Stars for exceptional customer service! Please stay tuned!

Do not trust this dealership! They will not honor signed contracts!…read moreBeware of doing business with this dealership. My brother negotiated and signed a contract with them for the trade and sale of RV/trailer. Everyone agreed to the terms, paperwork was signed, title was transferred, and loan had been initiated. However, after the fact, management decided the deal was "no longer good for them" and simply cancelled it. Their idea of "honoring" a signed contract was to walk away from their word entirely while wrongfully holding the title to his original RV. In addition it took my brother two weeks to try to get the loan cancelled for the new trailer since the dealership cancelled the sale. To make matters worse, their communication through this ordeal was incredibly poor. They created this entire mess and their solution was to cancel it when my brother wanted them to honor the contract. If a business cannot respect its own signed contracts or communicate honestly with its customers, they do not deserve your business. Avoid this place at all costs.

CONTINUED Now I…read moreagree these issues are fixable. However the next incident was just Not Acceptable. As I stated before, this was our first outing. We got our RV ready to leave the camp ground. Bob helped us get ready. After getting all hooked up. We went to the Dump Station. Bob did his first. Then we, Bob and I, hooked our RV to the dump station. As we were cleaning the black tank, poop started coming out. I told Bob, "We Did Not Poop in the RV toilet." However the poop kept coming and coming. It was Totally Disgusting and Sickening. We did the tank cleaning twice, and poop was still coming out. I was in a state of disbelief and shock as were Nancy, Bob and Diana. On our way home we called The Fun Town RV, Waller office. We explained to the person who answered the phone the situation. She said they were open and to bring the RV in to them. When we arrived at Fun Town RV. The sales lady on duty that day helped to calm our spirits. She advised us to talk with Mike the manager on duty. He said the things that went wrong could be fixed and that the black tank could be cleaned. "It's just poop." Really. I agree the things that broke could be fixed. However, to us, the poop situation was just wrong. As I stated before the poop just kept coming and coming. I also stated we did pee in the toilet but did not poop in it. What if we peed maybe just one more time. Who knows. This RV should have never left the Fun Town RV facility, let alone been sold to someone with the RV full of CRAP. We left the RV in the hands of Mike on July 13, 2025. We came in the next day July 14, 2025 and talked with Mike and went over the problems with The Service Advisor. On July 18, 2025 we had not heard from anyone on the RV to we went to the facility. We Spoke with JR. We asked for our money back on the RV. He said that Fun Towns policy does not allow refunds or buy backs. He would get back with us on the value of our RV for a trade in on another RV. We did look a a few RV's. On July 22, 2025 we had not heard from anyone yet. We called and talked with the service advisor and she said the RV is still in the shop. We informed Fun Town RV we would be out of town on July 24, 2025 through August 3, 2025 and they could reach out to us anytime. We asked at this time to speak with someone from corporate office. JR had Casey(From the San Antonio Office) to call us. Casey did call us while we were in Indiana and offered us some options. After hanging up I realized I did not request anything in writing. I called his office back the next day and left him a message asking for email confirmation in writhing of the offers. On August 3, 2025 we arrived home and had not received any confirmation. On August 6, 2025 we went to Fun Town RV and talked with JR. We inquired about getting the email. He told us that Casey had asked Mike to write something up for us. However as of August 13, 2025 we have not received anything. We found out on August 6 from the service report that the Black Tank was clogged. Wow. Even after all the poop that came out of it on our camping trip. As previously stated, "unacceptable." Trust and integrity are important to us. We have lost our trust in Fun Town RV. We feel the communications are poor. I will say the only person who really reached out to us was Cyndi Amendt. She has given us the most information and been up front with us. We put the RV up for sale at RV Station in College Station, Texas, a REPUTABLE consignment lot. When they did further inspection they found there had been a previous leak and repair at the back of the RV. The leak was apparently fixed before we bought it, however the damage had already been done. There is water damage to the front as well. We had to file an insurance claim to get it fixed. It is in the shop now awaiting parts. We have to pay the $2000.00 deductible plus we are taking a loss on the resale of the RV. We were going to just let this go until we found out about this latest issue. We have been dealing with this issue for far too long. Our CONCERN is that your company needs to take better care of their customers. We were sold a lemon. We feel this whole issue was your company's fault.

Terrible - Terrible - Terrible - Terrible. The office manager Alex needs a lesson in communication…read moreskills. Doesn't like her job. They had the camper over 3 months to have all the service needed. The first time she communicated with me after the initial drop off is when she sent the estimate to my email. After more than several attempts to contact her through the initial email thread I had to call her. When I talked to her over the phone, she had attitude like I was bothering her with asking questions about the repairs. One of the problems I had asked multiple times was to check all the lights on the camper, I had no brake, turn, running, and taillights. Long story short she gave me static about it and finally said over the phone "the technician checked all the lights and everything works fine. She said when you come to pick it up the technician will assist you to show that everything works. Needless to say, when we plugged it in to the truck nothing worked. We had to have the technician troubleshoot the problem. Turns out the plug was bad along with the wires to the taillights were all torn up by rats...moral of this story they were never checked in the first place...she never communicated that to the technicians. Also, I had the wheel bearings serviced and re-packed, and you can see in the pictures how I found one when I pulled the cover to check that they indeed did the work that they charged me $500.00+ The bearing cover was laying inside the Lugnut cover. We should have taken it to Fun Town in Wharton to get it worked on since that's where we bought the camper. Least their service department is friendly and accommodating with them being open late and on Saturdays. Hope this helps anyone that's thinking about getting work done here.

We bought a camper. Sales was good, turn over mechanic was excellent, finance was the drawback…read more We paid cash for our rig. To start with we got a call a couple days before pickup from them with some sketch deal, wanting us to finance, pay interest for 1 year... "to help others who may not qualify"... Then, when doing paperwork he told us the tires were going to explode, and basically the entire camper would fall apart on the way home, so we needed to pay an extra $12K for his coverage... we didn't appreciate it at all.

If I could give a 0 Star, I would. I could write a novella with all the issues that we have had,…read morebut I will keep it brief with the latest. Let me start with the fact that we should have stopped going a long time ago but there are some employees there that are good people and we did give them the benefit of the doubt. We have purchased 4 RVs from there hoping that things would change...they haven't. This is our bad. Having said that, here is the worst of it. About a year ago, we took our Class A in for service. After a TON of run around they had our RV for 5 MONTHS. At one point, we went in to see what was going io and nobody even knew where it was. One of the salesmen had to drive around and look for it. It was tucked away in the back on their lot. This is quite frankly unacceptable. There is no communication, there is one excuse after another, and nothing seems to get done until you throw a fit. On a recent trip, one of the things they fixed turns out wasn't fixed properly so back we go. Again after 5 weeks this time and the same runaround, they say they finally have it complete. But now, here is the kicker. Due to an error on their part, they are telling us due to an error on they made, they won't release our RV until we pay them $7,000. Yes, you read that right. They told us at the time (a year ago) that the claim on our warranty was approved so we paid the deductible and considered the matter closed. Apparently, they lied and the claim was not approved and expected us to pay for the work. This is the most SHADY business practice I have ever seen!!!! We will NEVER give Holiday World another penny of our money. We have hit our limit.
