unprotected mattress

One of the absolutely worst experiences of our lives. From the original quote to the price tripled, even after we threw off our 2 piece sectional that should have made up the difference with added inventory. Delivery was promised 3-9 days, we were told they were completely in house, were not brokers YET without our consent our move was brokered out in the end and it took 17 days to receive our items. During the time they had our belongings held hostage, I lost thousands of dollars from my business as all of my inventory was in the move. Additionally, my Fiance' a Senior Citizen who has end stage renal disease and under the care of a physician for wound care, we had a bin of medical supplies in the move. Our belongings arrived last night around 5pm. I have a broken table, the mattresses were not wrapped in protective covering as indicated they would be in the contract, THERE IS A HOLE IN ONE OF MY MATTTRESSES THAT WAS NOT THERE, AND MANY OF MY BINS WERE COVERED IN RAT FECES AND RAT URINE WHICH LIKELY MEANS A RAT CHEWED INTO MY WHAT WAS ALMOST A 5K MATTERSS THAT I CAN NEVER USE AGAIN NOR THE OTHER MATTERSS THAT LAID AMONG THE RATS!! This was also a classic case of bait and switch. The slick talking sales guy, Jerry, who sent 9 text messages, 4 voicemails and 3 additional phone calls to get our business would not answer his phone the day of the move when the demand for payment tripled from his quote, even offing the largest possession, a 2 piece sectional included in the move quote, the replacement items took up less CF but still somehow the cost almost tripled in price with no clear explanation. Jerry the sales rep blocked my phone number and also blocked my email address as to not receive communications from me to take responsibility. They would not communicate with me for days, lied as to where my belongings physically were located, and the poor guy who showed up ALONE at 5 pm to deliver my move, they did not have him help, therefore, I became the help, an almost 60 year old woman because had I not helped, it would have taken him more than an hour plus longer and my storage facility closes at 10pm, we exited at 9:46 pm. I hope everyone voicing your concerns here are taking the step to file a complaint with the BBB. I like I am sure many of you saw the A- rating, which was an obvious facade and fake customer reviews. I have also filed a complaint with the NTSB, and my letter is ready to be filed with the Florida Attorney General as I see they prosecuted a company as recent as May, 2025 with similar tactics and complaints as I am reading on this thread. I am now even more angered to see how many had it even worse than us and seem to have been unsuccessful in retrieving their belongings and or compensation for broken items in the move. I have not had the opportunity to go through all belongings as the delivery just completed however, the mattresses are filthy, compromised and unhealthy by laying among a rodent infested storage facility,

Terrible customer service. Don't use!! We had a 65" tv that they damaged and still waiting to get compensated. READ THE SNALL PRINT!!!! We waited almost a month to get our delivery. Don't believe anything Tish gas to say. They are terrible and should be put out of business. The delivery guys were polite and did a good job but whoever packed the truck did a horrible job. Too bad I can't rate them -1 star.

M&D Pro Movers puts on a good face......Until the move! They need to remove PRO(abbrivated for PROFESSIONAL) is there is nothing professional about this company! I am sure this review will not get posted BUT I am so upset that I will post my review anywhere I can. They are unprofessional after they get you to sign the commitment. All of the employees are family and as a family they all stick together and LIE together! We were contacted by M&D Pro Movers in Oct for a small move in December 2024, from Florida to NC. Eric(his real name is Gus but no one uses their real names in this company) quoted us 350cf based upon the list we gave him of what was to be moved.. A professional company sends out a person to look at what will be moved or they do it vertually by way of the internet, but I soon found out that they undercharge based upon their GUESTIMATE and then OVERCHARGE the customer after they have loaded your belongings onto their truck and then HOLD THE CUSTOMERS BELONGINGS HOSTAGE until the customer agress to pay the exorbandant overcharges. We actually listed more items than they actually packed on the truck. The "movers" arrived at 4:30PM and left at 6:45PM. Their method of packing was to just take the items as they saw them and shove them whereever they would fit. Thereby using more cf than necessary. The items were all weighed, measured and photographed by us(the shipper) BEFORE they were picked up by M&D Pro Movers. Our cf measured 475 cf M&D Movers charged us for 675cf, because they had "air space" they claimed they could not fill due to the sloppy way they packed the truck.. They promised us a "Mattress Bag" for our fairly new mattress and we got cheap plastic wrapped around the mattress. They promised us a TV Box and we got "mirror cardboard" wrapped around the box. We were given the impression, by "Eric" that our Items were going to be taken from Florida directly to NC. Instead they were taken from Mid state Florida to Miami Florida area(3 hours se of where they picked them up) area and removed from the truck and placed into crates. A week later they were placed into another truck and transported to NC. Therefore charging us for the added mileage. Upon recieving our property the entire solid wood bedrom set had damaged. On one bureau the side was split in half, and every other part of the 6 piece solid woodern bedroom set had serious non reparable damage. The mattress had grease all over it and was unusable after delivery. Interestingly enough when I went to the truck upon delivery before they unstrapped our furniture I saw(and took a picture of) our mattress just laying on the bed to the truck with a 2 wheeled dolly under it and other items, not straped in with our other property. We have moved 6 times in our 25 years of marriage, always moving ourselves. We know how to pack a truck efficently. However, we are older now and felt it was better to hire a PROFESSIONAL moving company. We definatly are regreting using this company. We are Sr. Citizens and feel that we were taken advantage of. This is elder abuse and we will not sit idely by and wait for this company to refund the money they stole from us. They owe us $2500.00 for the over charges and for the damage to our furniture. They refuse to contact us to even give us the phone number for the insurance company. I see all their positive reviews here and I believe they are fake, self posted reviews. If this were a Professional company they would have stepped up to the palte by now to quickly fix this issue. BUT THEY HAVE NOT. SO "BUYER BEWARE" RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM M&D PRO MOVERS!

Very awful experience! Starting with the initial given price which was not even close to what I ended up paying. Some of my items were damaged. They broke my cat tree, my dresser had a drnt and tbe day of the delivery my console table was dropped and the edges were damaged. The guy was laughing about it. I do not recommend MD Pro Movers at all!

Scratched foot board

When I originally got my estimate, they under cut the square foot, then charged me and additional $1000 to move just my couch. When they arrived, the second guy was trying to hit on my sister, when she said she was married, he told her that a marriage don't mean anything, he kept asking for beverages, used my bathroom, did not flush the toilet or wipe off the toilet seat. The way I wrapped and boxed my property was not the way it was when it was delivered. I wrapped a stand alone jewelry box in plastic to keep it from opening and getting scratched. When it was delivered, I saw the plastic was removed, and wrapped in a blanket without the plastic. My jewelry was broken and my jewelry box ram-sacked.my basket was also wrapped in plastic and it looks like it was removed and partially put back on. My 65 inch tv and my 42 inch tv were both broken, and they were wrapped by Luis, in a blanket a piece of cardboard. I wrapped a linen basket in plastic just like my jewelry box, and they also removed the plastic wrap I had on a linen o. The tape was also pulled back and broke on a a few of my boxes. They told me my property would not be shipped until I paid a balance, and then was shipped without me knowing and when the delivery driver called me to tell me it was being delivered the next day, he said I owed more than what I was told when my belongings were picked up. Come to find out after I signed the paperwork when my belongings were picked up, Luis wrote over the original numbers. I took a picture of the paperwork since Luis would not give me a copy. I had to send the picture of the paperwork I signed to the delivery driver and Selene to show the numbers were not correct that I was being told I had to pay. When I was trying to explain it Luis that the numbers he was giving me were not calculating correctly, all he said was that I needed to listen to him. When I talked to Selene and tried explaining to her that I was underestimated for square footage and that I was not told there was a minimum fee of $650 (plus some additional fees), and that Eric who helped me with the estimate said all I had to do was pay the additional square footage that I use, Selene said that the sales team doesn't know the fees. I tried explaining to Selene if I had known about the additional minimum fee, I would have requested to have additional square footage to make sure I did not go over what was estimated, however she would not listen. And to top that off after I read my contract for the third time, I told her it doesn't say that there would be the additional minimum fee of $650, she said they can charge up to $2500 and it shows in the tariff which is not provided to customers when the contract is signed. She said that customers have to request a copy, which is crazy cause when you are signing the contract there is no information saying this or any indication of additional fees. When I was getting estimates, I specifically asked if they would be the ones moving and delivering my belongings and he said yes which is a lie! The subcontract and use a third party. Then when my belongings were being delivered, they kept trying to tell me it was gonna cost me even more cause they could not bring the truck down my street. I had to argue with the delivery guy and the dispatcher letting them know that the truck would have access to my home and would not be blocking traffic and that semi trucks come down this street daily. When trying to call their number they don't answer and Selene has an attitude and is rude. I told her that my items were damaged and she said that I had to file a claim, when I told her it doesn't show on the contract that was signed when they picked up my belongings, she said the claim contact info shows on the paperwork I received when they picked up my property. I had to remind her that Luis would not give me a copy. Selene was available to take my money on. Sunday, but did not want to provide me with the claims info and said I had to wait until Monday.

Brand new tv. They were suppose to make tv boxes but just rapped it in a blanket

After having all the problems with this company, they offered me $99 for all my damaged furniture, lost 55" tv and a broken 55" tv. They told the BBB that they would do an adjustment to my bill and they still have not done anything. This company is a joke. Go to a reputable moving company even if it costs more, never use this company no matter what they promise you.

Crushed boxes

Horrific experience. The uncharged us 3x the quote when our stuff was already on the truck. Left trash all over the house and yard. Couldn't get any info on when our stuff would arrive. It came the boxes completely crushed, furniture broken, roaches crawling over our boxes. They won't respond anymore even though I need them to respond in order to file a claim for what i can, as they don't take responsibility for boxes they don't pack. BEWARE AND DO NOT USE THEM

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED…read more When I found my new home in W Palm Beach, I knew I needed to find an AFFORDABLE AND RELIABLE moving company. I first inquired with a few movers to make sure I could compare pricing and services available. I was also rushing my move into a three week timeline; so when I first received my quote from Pure Moving, I instantly knew this was my first choice. When I spoke with them on the phone, they set me up with a video call to get an exact price for the move. I booked an appointment immediately on the first call, I was so confident they would give an affordable rate with impeccable service. I WAS CORRECT, PURE MOVING DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! Since I was moving from Miami to WPB, it was important for me to have enough movers to get it all done at one time. Five packers and three unloaders were assigned to help with the move. i was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED by their thorough job at packing my ALL WHITE furniture. They took their time, while I went ahead to wait at my new home for another service appointment that day. They made sure everything was EXTRA NEAT AND TIDY when they left the old house. I gave them the key, and they locked up behind them, making my move even easier than expected. Once, the unloaders arrived they took there time to set everything up in the new home. They were careful that everything was done before calling it a day. Danill and his team REALLY EXCEEDED ANY AND ALL EXPECTATIONS!! I will absolutely keep them in mind in the future when I need to move again, or if a friend is looking move as well.

And while it took them longer than estimated, they were very efficient. The quote Tad, in the office, gave me was on point though the actual amount due wound up being greater because it took about an hour longer to complete the job (the size and complexity of disassembling and then reassembling my king-sized sleigh bed frame was the culprit). Overall, I was VERY pleased with their responsiveness, quickness and the friendliness of the movers (Roman and his partner) assigned to my job. I'd use them again for sure!

DO NOT RECOMMEND. THEY HAVE A 3.8 RATING FOR A REASON…read more I rarely write reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others. A LOT went wrong with this moving company, and I wish I had trusted my gut. My initial call with Tali Maskalik (who I later found out is actually the president of the company) went well -- she was friendly, informative, and even encouraged me to research other companies. Based on that, I booked them. That's when everything went downhill. I originally placed a deposit for a weekend move between July 18-20. A week later, Tali told me she couldn't do it and pushed me to July 16 -- even though I was out of town until July 11. That was frustrating, but I tried to roll with it. Then, when my apartment asked for an estimated delivery date, she gave me the wrong one. This was our first out-of-state move, so we had already booked a discounted hotel for our first week. On August 1, she told me our stuff would be there Monday, August 4. Based on that, we checked out of our hotel early, took PTO, and waited at our apartment -- only for her to later admit she had mixed me up with another customer. And somehow... this was my fault? After that, she stopped talking to me entirely and passed me off to her coworker Peter. The movers also broke a box of our mugs (10+ gone) and mishandled my standing desk, which is likely broken. I strongly suspect my contract was sold to multiple other movers, based on how many hands my move seemed to go through. If you value your time, money, and sanity -- book literally anyone else. This company cost us extra hotel fees, wasted PTO, and damaged belongings. I would give zero stars if I could. UPDATED 8/18: They also broke our TV!!!
