am extremely disappointed with my experience. I purchased a very large plant that cost nearly $700, expecting a premium product and professional service. Unfortunately, the plant arrived visibly sick, with clear signs of distress and poor health. For a purchase of this size and price, I expected quality control and care. When I contacted the company to address the issue, I was met with dismissiveness and an extremely rude attitude. Instead of offering a reasonable solution such as an exchange or replacement, they refused to change the plant or take responsibility. The way I was treated as a customer was honestly more upsetting than the plant itself. For a business selling high-end plants at luxury prices, customer service should reflect that same level of professionalism. A healthy plant and respectful communication are the bare minimum expectations when spending this kind of money. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. The plant arrived in a broken pot, and while customer service was nice, it was a hassle to wait on the new pot and then repot it. Not the IG experience posted all over their page. I also ordered the water meter sticks because I am a novice with plants. I was doing great with my ponytail palm until a two week trip to Europe. Our house sitter overwatered it because the water stick didn't turn blue. When I came home, the plant looked a bit off. It continued to get worse. I emailed the L&G plant doctor, but she never mentioned the sickness root rot. After much research on YouTube, I found that it was root rot due to the broken water meter, and I did everything I could find on YouTube to save my plant. The plant is dead, and I asked L&G if they would offer money off a new one because I was just past the 1 year mark with this plant. They would not, so $450 down the drain. I will not order from them again. I can get a Ponytail Palm much cheaper at my local greenhouse. This company is not worth it! read more

A wonderful experience with Léon and George! I paid 500 for a fiddle leaf that arrived in pretty ppor condition and slowly progressed gettjng worse and worse. I emailed them quickly after purchasing and they told me to contact their plant doctor who just told me to wait out as I was doing all she recommended. Never got better just continued to get worse. Bloomscape at least sends you a replacement plant if you are not happy and show them pictures of what it looks like. This company aside from beung the most expensive does mot guarantee the quality of their plants It has look like this from week one. Never improved. I've ordered 5 plants from L&G. The first very large plant arrived in perfect condition. 3 of the next 4 also came in really good shape. The order took a little longer than expected, but aren't most thing's these days? The last and final extra large plant I ordered arrived broken and destroyed. Someone along the way was really rough with this thing. 2 large branches were completely broken off and the soil was everywhere almost like it was dumped upside down. The box looked like it had gotten run over by a car. It's not at all what your expecting when you pay what is most definitely a premium for a product. I contacted L&G immediately through email. One hour later I received an email from their customer service stating 'this falls in the purview of our 45 day guarantee' Without any questions or any problem they replaced the tree. A company that does things like this will keep my business. Stuff is always going to happen, but its how easy you make it for the customer that matters. Let's be honest, L&G is expensive but I think overall it's worth the cost because the products and service are great. read more

Horrible company. Horrible service. Beyond comprehension. I sent my husband a plant in February for his birthday. The plant arrived already damaged, and the pot in which it was sent was crushed. I notified the company immediately and included photos as evidence of the damaged plant and of the completely crushed pot. Nothing happened. Nothing. I wrote again. Nothing. A few days ago, I wrote to them again, months later, asking for the return of my money. And today - months later - my husband received an email that the pot is being replaced. We have no need of the pot. There has been nothing from the company about replacing the plant. And I have received no reimbursement. I paid $225 for Leon & George to transport my bird of paradise from one location to another, believing that they would do a better job than regular movers. My plant arrived at the second location with one of the biggest stems broken in half. I get that accidents happen and gave them an opportunity to make this right. This was their response: "After much consideration from our team, we cannot identify any rationale behind financial compensation. The snapped leaf does not endanger the plant, and it's very likely it would have eventually snapped on its own due to its weight. At this time, we recommend cutting the leaf at the base with clean shears. Another one will come in soon enough!" There was zero responsibility taken for the damage to my plant while it was in their possession. The assumption that it was "very likely" to snap in half on its own is baseless and irrelevant. In general, I expect items to be delivered undamaged, but if they are damaged, most companies will do something to correct it. NOT Leon & George. They'll tell you your item would have broken on its own anyway. read more

I purchased 3 small, 3 medium, and 2 large plants from the Pet Friendly collection (due to nibbly cats) and the entire process was just fantastic. The customer service provided by Renee was responsive, helpful, and warm. I checked with the plant doctor about some cat deterrents that wouldn't hurt the plants in the days leading up to delivery and Ron offered up advice and options which have been really helpful. We tried many things to clean up the infestation, but realized that the plant was unlikely to survive. So I went back to Leon & George and re-ordered the same plant, same size, which now cost even more money. Shipping was delayed and when it arrived both the plant and pot are significantly smaller but with the same item number and description. When I reached out the company they cited increased costs to them, but they had not updated their item online. I complained that I paid even more for a significantly smaller product, and they offered me a relatively small gift card. I don't want another little plant, and the gift card does not hold value. I'm pretty appalled by this callous skimpflation. The company keeps citing their business needs, but doesn't seem to recognize that they are customer facing. While the product is absolutely outstanding, my plants arrived past the date agreed when I ordered. It was intentionally ordered for a special event, and confirmed when I placed the order, then once the confirmation email arrived, my delivery date had changed. I emailed Customer Service and was told nothing could be done as the plants had been shipped even though I contacted them minutes after the confirmation email said the plant would ship. This appears to me intentional and way to lasso people in especially when special dates approach. I received my FLF yesterday and was a bit disappointed and underwhelmed with delivery and the product. I paid the extra money for white glove delivery but the day before delivery I got an email saying that in home delivery is suspended because of covid. I understand that, it's a safety precaution but why did they allow me to pay the extra fee if the delivery driver was just going to drop it off at my door just like UPS or FedEx would but for a much cheaper price?.... It should have been very clear at checkout that due to covid white glove delivery is modified. In addition, the plant itself has a few brown spots, isn't really a nice deep green, and the leaves weren't shiny or polished looking upon delivery. I had higher expectations considering the price and marketing. I was at wholefoods today and saw a FLF and it was in much nicer condition than what I received yesterday - for a fraction of the price. Good service. I ordered a ceramic pot and stand online and due to a typo in the dimensions on the website, ended up ordering the wrong size. I pointed out the error and they offered to let me exchange the size at the store. It was pretty quick and painless. I left off a couple stars because when I got home I noticed the inside of the pot has a shallow semi-circle chip about an inch in diameter and a few scuff circles that had been painted over. So, I may have gotten either a used pot for $$$$ or definitely a less than perfect quality pot. It's inside the pot so at least you can't see it but... I know they're there and not thrilled given how expensive they are. read more

I was so excited to receive my 1st Leon & George plant given all of the great reviews. My medium sized Zanzibar did come well packaged although it's leaning a bit to one side and smaller than I thought. I ordered a similar plant from Amazon a few months earlier for about $50 and, truth be told, the quality of the plants is about the same (although the pot from L&G is much better quality). I would've expected a much bigger plant for the price. Also, the stand I purchased which I thought was "recommended" during check-out is for the larger pot - too much trouble to send back as I already threw the box away.
