I'd opt for the 8 in next time because the regular disappeared too quickly. I tried the Zylstra, which I didn't realize was someone's name until I looked at the paper menu and saw "Coach Zylstra" listed under the hot sandwiches. All the ingredients complemented each other well and the bread was very thin but crispy, so it didn't detract from the fillings. My boyfriend loved his pastrami sandwich and regretted getting the regular as well. It's a small family-owned business that seems to have regulars, which is very endearing, but most people take their orders to go. They have a lot of dine-in tables, though, so we opted to sit inside.

There's one register to order and the staff greets everyone as they walk in. There are many tables inside and a few patio seats outside. A good option if you have time to eat lunch and relax for a few moments. I ended up wanting to try the Grilled Chicken Breast Caesar Salad Wrap. The staff asked which wrap I would like and I went with the spinach. During lunch there was a small flow of customers. My order was ready fast. There had some hot sauces to use by the soda dispenser. This presentation looked amazing! I love Caesar salads and enjoying in a wrap form was new experience for me. Solid option in my opinion. Many textures going on with every bite. Crisp lettuce and crispy croutons gave this soft wrap the crunch it needs. I would order this again on a return visit. Overall, a good experience for my first time. Stop by and give them a try if you're around Diamond Bar. Thanks, International Deli! ( ^_^)b

Insider tip from someone who orders once to twice a month, call in your order! I've waited 45 mins in the past, which it was worth it but much nicer to call ahead and run in and out in 5 mins.

First off, I came in for two pastrami sandwiches which they promptly came out to me and said they didn't have any more pastrami. The lady was nice and said she would upgrade me to a different type of pastrami that actually cost more. Well whatever this crap was it didn't taste like pastrami at all. I got one soft bread and one crispy bread and the crispy bread could've chipped a tooth on a normal mouth so thank God I've got implants. Both sandwiches were painfully boring and I wish I had something good to say. I'm not sure what was put in my wife's sandwich either when she got explosive diarrhea less than 10 minutes after eating her sandwich? The cold cuts tasted off and I wanna say that they were rotten because I've been burping it all day. Something positive? I guess the store looked nice on the inside? Anyhow, without a doubt I will not be back because if Subway can make a better sandwich than you guys you're in trouble. And subway sucks by the way. Claro's... nah More like stay "Clearo" of this place.

So Fresh & Delicious!…read more I tried C&R Fresh Foods for the first time a week ago. I did some research on Yelp to see the menu and recommended options. I was craving a wrap so why not come give em a try. The parking lot has plenty of spaces as it located on the long strip mall in this part of West Covina. The location is pretty chill and quiet outside of the TV playing soccer. The staff who took my order was friendly and allowed me to try sample some smoothies. I came there for the BLT wrap with avocado. My order was served within a few minutes. The staff offered jalapeños on the side as well and constantly checked in with me. I was happy with this wrap! The freshness of the veggies and the crunch from the bacon was perfect. One specific detail I'd have to mention was the cream cheese they use in the wrap. It elevated that wrap it to a new level and brought out all the flavors. I'd return again just for this item. Good customer overall with great food. Come by and try out C & R Fresh Foods! ( ^_^)b

The food is a small part of what I was given though, as this places service is outstanding. The owner is the sweetest lady ever, and you can tell she loves serving the people in her community. This lunch spot is in fact a STAPLE of the local area. It was very common for me coming in over the course of the month to see firefighters, postal workers, construction workers, police officers, etc. all sitting down and eating. The owner of course knew many of these people, so you know they enjoy coming in. This restaurant SERVES the community and I am not surprised at all that everyone in there enjoys the company and food. What an amazing place. Although my work has ended in Walnut, you can bet that I will be visiting next time I am out there. I hope the owner sees this and knows how much I appreciate her and her staff! I am hoping for this businesses continued success, it deserves an award or some sort of recognition. Keep on serving! -Tytan

The food is amazing, but what really stood out was the customer service. The girl behind the counter had a great personality, explained everything thoroughly, and made the entire experience enjoyable. That level of thoughtfulness and respect meant a lot to me. It's rare to find a place that delivers both excellent food and exceptional service, but this spot does exactly that. Highly recommend!

It was…read moresmall, crowded and the service (as well as English proficiency) is not fully there, but that's expected at a legit mom and pop place like this. Personally, it felt more like a get in and get out kind of place, but some large group did actually try to cram in and sit in there. It's a bit stuffy and not the cleanest, with people waiting to order somewhat spilling into the seated areas, so I wouldn't recommend bringing a group or kids here. The back freezer has a variety of dumplings at 50 for $26 dollars ($27 for the shrimp), which is fairly priced compared to competitors. The steamed buns / baos are priced at $2.50 each and if you buy 10, you get one free. I bought an unsliced daikon radish cake for $14 and it yielded 17 thin slices. Sweetened large soymilk was 4.20 each and came piping hot to go. Quality of food is pretty good. We finished the pork and vegetable baos in one week. My picky daughter who normally only eats the outside of the bao actually ate the filling, to our surprise. The daikon cake was easy to slice and freeze individual slices for use later, but don't expect the same savory goodness of Cantonese dimsum dinners; it certainly tasted like it was missing something. Soymilk was thoroughly enjoyed, at least by the adults. It had that nice, earthy taste of freshly made goodness. We'll definitely be back to stock up on the baos and perhaps try out some of their dumplings.

My daughter gets the veggi tamales every chance she gets. Last time we were there, they collected the money but then tells us they didn't have any. The employee tried to get us to picked something else and kinda made a fuss about a refund. My brother and I was there this past Saturday. We were there just after 5P. I called ahead to confirm they had the veggie tamales, and to hold them for me. We both made purchases that day. The woman talked me into buying a box of green bean puff pastries that was made that day. In total we spent $134.37. It's not unusual for me to spend over $50 there. I even teased about how I'm an easy sell. We had 2 bags and we left. My brother took his purchase when I dropped him off. I live further away so I didn't ger home till after 7P. Once I got all the groceries into the house, I noticed there wasn't any puff pastries. I checked the receipt and it shows I paid $24 for a box of them! I called them the next day at 12:38P to ask about picking up the missing item. She 1st gave me the run around about proving I paid for them and if I just "misplaced" them. I told her I have the receipt, what time I was there, and reminding her I was there with my brother. Then she said to find the ticket #. Gave her that info and I heard her talking to a man about a replacement. She gets the okay and I explained that I live very far away but my brother will be nearby. She said fine but refuses to take down either of our names. My brother showed up at around 2P for the replacement. It was the same woman who served us the day before. Instead of apologizing, she berated my brother about why we waited 24 hours to call them! Why didn't we check the bag! Pretty much accused us of trying to cheat them! I give them a lot of lead way on their prices because it's handmade. I go out of my way to go there when I'm in the area. We always spend about $50 per person. She made the mistake not us. Absolutely unacceptable to be so unprofessional in this case. Now I'm wondering how many other times has she over charged me. In fact, does this happen on a regular basis? At the rate of $24 once a day, that equals $168 per week or $672 per month! I think everyone who goes there should check everything before leaving. Apparently they're not responsible for mistakes!
