OPT&P and Dan Hoban don't deserve the 5 stars I originally gave (see below); they deserve 6 stars. I started treatment for an injury at a gym on January 20, 2026. Since January, I've seen multiple medical professionals, Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, and massage therapists. I expected little to no relief from another round of Physical Therapy, but to my great surprise, I am getting better after 2-3 weekly visits to Optimized Physical Therapy and Dan Hoban more than anywhere else. I am also gaining insightful and critical information from Dan about recovery, execution, and understanding my body. I can't say enough about Optimized and Dan, and I implore anyone who is in serious need of physical therapy to seek out Dan Hoban at Optimized Physical Therapy and Performance. OLDER REVIEW I've seen Physical Therapists for various reasons over the years. To be honest, I believe physical therapy is mostly smoke and mirrors. This opinion comes from dealing with DPTs who talk to you briefly and then send you to machines, guided by inattentive people who know little and care less about your condition. From what I've learned, much of this treatment is driven by insurance companies that dictate what DPTs can and will be paid to do, without prioritizing patients' interests. It's generally a waste of time and effort because of insurance directives. I recently came to Optimized Physical Therapy and Performance after an accident at Planet Fitness. The incident caused severe issues with my back, knee, and elbows. When I met Dan Hoban, DPT, I expected the same treatments I've had over the years. But to my surprise, that didn't happen. Dan was attentive, understanding, interested in all aspects of my injuries, and stayed with me throughout the entire hour-long treatment. He answered all my questions about the injuries and related matters. Over the past few weeks, I've been seeing Dan, and he has been the exact opposite of what I expected from a DPT. To my delight and surprise, for the first time, I am seeing improvement in the areas damaged by the accident. I rarely give 5 stars in my hundreds of reviews. However, in this case, I wholeheartedly recommend Dan Hoban and Optimized Physical Therapy and Performance. Optimized Therapy does not accept insurance, which may affect the type of therapy you receive. But if you can afford it, and who can if you're in constant pain, Mr. Hoban has my full confidence.

I spoke with a human finally. He sounded more like a salesman than anything (eg, making grandiose promises without ever examining me) and wanted me to pay for 3-4 months of visits up front. They don't accept any insurance and act like that's the only way you can get adequate treatment. (I've not experienced any of the "problems" he cited with therapists who accept insurance.) Their business model obviously turned me off but the poor review is mainly because of the incessant calls and texts. Edit: Hi Zaki, appreciate the response. I tried to reach out directly. I spoke to two different people from Optimize (one from MI and one from LV) and expressed my concerns to both of them about the number of calls/texts I was receiving while at work. Bill had me doing 2 machines with too heavy of weights for a 77 year old woman. I thought Bill knew what he was doing. I never had sciatic nerve pain before, but now I have severe pain in my right back. hip, thigh, buttocks and down my leg. It's been eight days and its not getting any better. I guess Bill decided not to return my calls because the damage is already done and there is nothing he can do to help me. I called my primary doctor to see what he can do for me. ​I can only sit for a short time and lying down is difficult. I have lost a lot of sleep due to all the pain.
