Better store than Lyons Corner Market. More selection and a bit nicer clerk. Definite small country store with selection to match

We tend not to be convenient store frequenters, but in times of need, it's there for us. This is my first convenient market review and never thought I would, but it was listed and I thought why not, someone needs to be recognized. It's a typical market with tobacco, sweets, beverages, snacks & fried food. We really only go there when we are passing through Lyons or need something like milk, butter or anything else we feel might be an emergency. It's on the corner, as the name states and easy to get in and out of. What makes this place special and worth mentioning is the wonderful lady that works the register. She could likely be the owner, but I've never taken the time to have an in depth conversation with her. From the time you walk in to when you exit, she is gabbing & babbling away about anything & everything and somehow making the whole experience very enjoyable. We find ourselves talking about her for many minutes/mile after leaving. Her personality is positively contagious. For me, these types of people/workers/characters can make or break an experience for the consumer, whether it's dining out, shopping or I guess even at a convenient store. I hope she works there as long as I go to that store. It's simply a pleasure! Thank you lady and I promise I'll make time to get to know you a little better with each future visit. Sorry, no pics, it's an average small town convenience store. I'm sure you can imagine what it's like. If you're ever passing through Lyons, stop in, the entertainment is worth it. MM

I've really come to like Roth's. They are the slightly fancier sister to your average neighborhood…read moregrocery store. They have all the basics, sure, but really shine with some local and specialty goods. Roth's is my source for Roelli's Red Rock Cheese (an ultra-creamy bleu cheddar that is divine paired with fruit and nut crisps), local SCL's Muruku noodles, and locally grown cut flowers. They are the most prolific purveyor of nicer cheese that I have found in Mcminnville, and though space dedicated to wine is in no shortage at most grocers in the area, Roth's is pleasantly displayed and fun to shop. They have some houseplants and gifts, a decent bakery and deli, a rather large produce and bulk selection, and even offer sushi. Customer service is top priority and it shows - waits in line are never long, and every employee is agreeable and friendly. They have glass and aluminum recycling out front. Selection is limited for some items, notably pharmacy and bath and body, but that is probably not what you're shopping for here anyway. Prices can be a smidge high, but they also have good sales, and overall, it is a good choice for groceries, especially if you are seeking local products or avoiding support of larger chains.

Okay. Middle of no where close to Silver Falls which is a huge benefit to their business. I…read morewalked in skeptical, as the outer decor doesn't scream welcome, but that quickly changed. Chill, laid back dudes running it. The menu is basic to the point and spectacular. We ordered bacon cheeseburgers with a side of tots. Flavor notes in the handmade burger; spot on! Tots perfectly crisped and steaming hot. To top it off we got to play a game of chess! Rad joint, be sure to check them out and give support to this local rad place instead of going the extra miles into Silverton. They deserve the business, and this will be my go to stop from now on! They also have outdoor seating and when it gets warmer it'll probably be packed.

Services were a little slow but their helper got hurt called out so it put a little strain. But hey be nice and nice will be all around you. We got served with smiles and good cheer. The burger was filling and the fried egg made it just that much better. Wifey loved the simplicity of the cheeseburger she ordered. Meat cheese lettuce mustard mayo nothing bougie just good ol cheeseburger goodness. The food gets a rave review but this is also a country store. Some camp and fishing supplies, plenty of canned food for bivouacking and a wide assortment of canned drinks. Overall a great find when you are out and about.
