It's always a lovely experience at Lynfred Winery. The staff is friendly and quite knowledgeable. And whether you are a true wine connoisseur or just learning and want to sample something different you've come to the right place.

We had a nice experience here on our anniversary! It has an old school vibe and its much bigger inside than it looks. My party did a tasting and tour here really enjoyed the behind the scenes workings. We loved the wines, so crowd faves were the hot wines ! My fave was the blackberry!

What a great winery and so close to Chicago! The building looks like a castle and the gorgeous woodwork throughout the inside is something to marvel at. They have a delicious selection of wines which you can either by as a glass, get 3 - 3oz flight, or 6 tastings. The employees are gracious and friendly and they have a delicious array of snacks, cheeses, bread, etc. to pair with your wine.

The Lynfred Winery is a true suburban gem tucked away in Roselle near the main street businesses. It's an anchor when there are Roselle festivals, like Rose fest or Taste of Roselle. We recently returned to buy Christmas wines and gifts for hostess baskets or parties and the tasting room offers a fun opportunity to try a few wines and some new foods through food truck vendors. Tonight's vendor was delicious Filipino food. Check out their website for more future food truck days in 2024. I always love the Christmas spiced Red wine but wanted to try the white. This fragrant spiced wine is so good warm and is not too sweet. I loved the sparkling rose' too and bought a bottle of this crisp, dry, bubbly wine for the holidays.

Finally came in to Lynfred for a visit and fell in love with it. Christina, thank you for the opportunity!! I came with 2 other girlfriends. We arrived around 3p and the place was busy! There were alot of people sitting out front at covered tables and one friendly couple helped direct us to the entrance. The winery itself is very welcoming and beautiful. You can tell its well kept and care is taken in its appearance. We did a mixture of tastings. Laura was helpful, funny and provided a joyful experience. When Laura stepped away from the bar, there was a young lady (no taller than 5'2, red-head or brunette, couldn't tell exactly) who stepped in and wasn't friendly at all and seemed to be bothered when we requested our next glass for tasting. :/ We did order the charcuterie box with different meats and cheeses to go along with our wine. It was tasty. My favorite wine was the Assemblage. It's a very smooth red with a tinge of sweetness. Despite the one staff member, I would go back. It's a beautiful escape from the city and was a great experience!

We won a gift certificate to this winery in an auction for Give Kids the World Village. It was a really nice treat. The winery is located in the main street area of Schaumburg. There is plenty of parking on the side of the winery as well as behind it. The grounds are beautiful with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for a flight of three glasses of wine. I chose white and rose wines and my husband had the rose and fruit wines. They all tasted great. They also come with cheese and crackers, as well as bread sticks. Service was friendly and warm.

What a friendly staff! I was a little bit nervous initially walking in because I was in an area I did not know, and I could already tell there wasn't much diversity. Thankfully, I was greeted with smiles and continued to be helped. Overall pleasant experience. The wine was smooth, flavorful and good pricing. If I'm ever in the area again, I would recommend. Beautiful space.

How ironic - a five-star review of a winery for a guy who doesn't even drink wine! My wife and I stopped by while on vacation, since we got a certificate through a charity auction. From looking at reviews, it appears that the winery does support quite a few charitable endeavors, which is laudable. I love the vibe of this place! There are plenty of seating options both inside and out, covered and uncovered to enjoy wine, cheese, meats, etc. They seem to have quite an active following, as the location was busy on the weekend (plenty of parking), but not too busy to enjoy. There's also a nice selection of retail items available, wine-themed and other fruit oriented. The service was so friendly, as I've not been to a winery in years, and wasn't exactly sure what the experience would be like. If you're in the area, this is a beautiful place to visit, sit and enjoy wine and snacks for a while and soak in the calming environment.

Nice quaint family feel winery. All staff were very nice and friendly (Sarah you were great)! Best wine options I have experienced for a selection of sweet wines so this time of year was great for those options. Spiced Apple is a hit. Room is available for big groups or table or bar seating for smaller groups. Offers outside seating as well as a Bed and Breakfast.

Our family was on vacation in Chicago, so my husband and I decided to visit some nearby wineries, starting with Lynfred. The building is gorgeous, and the staff is helpful and friendly. We decided to do a three-wine tasting each. I sampled the Viognier 2020, Sparkling Peach, and Red Sangria. I loved the Viognoir and ended up purchasing that and a bottle of the Riesling. The building is gorgeous, so I highly recommend that you take the time to walk around and take some photos. My only complaint about our visit is that the tasting menu is so limited. I wish that the Vignoles, Riesling, and some others were included. That being said we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to return in the future. I highly recommend that you stop in to give their wines a try. Whether you have a palate for dry wines, sweet or semi-sweet, Lynfred has an enjoyable selection just for you. Cheers!

This review is based on the fitness/rec center and day care…read more I started coming to RPD for the indoor track but ended up joining their fitness center during one of their sales. The indoor track is clean and well kept if just a bit small. There are only 2 lanes and if you happen to run/walk while certain ladies are there you'll find yourself very frustrated because they never follow the rules and you end up having to really adjust your running/walking speed to get around them. But when they're not there, its a great place to run. 15 laps on the outside, 17 on the inside roughly make a mile. The Fitness center is also on the smallish side, but if you avoid peak hours in the afternoon, there's always a treadmill or elliptical free. There are free weights, weight machines, stationary bikes as well. Three TV's set to different channels help keep you occupied if you don't have a personal music device. The room is set to the outside so there's a lot of natural light making it a nice place to work out without feeling claustrophobic. The Day Care is great. There's a small fee but Megan and/or Brittany are so great with kids. The playroom is really clean and well-kept. I've walked in while they were doing some cleaning so I know the toys and counter get cleaned regularly. The folks at the front desk and the fitness center are really nice and helpful. The thing I'm most disappointed with is that when I signed up for my fitness membership I was supposed to get a trainer session. She has yet to call me and it's been 3 weeks since I've joined. I've seen another trainer work with some folks and when I mention to the staff that my trainer hasn't contacted me yet, I plan to change my trainer to the one I actually see working.

They won't support programs that are not for seniors (e.g. Gym Pass which is offered through health insurance). 3. They cancelled open gym volleyball -- which was very popular. No reason given. Gym is often empty. The facility should be shutdown. It is a waste of taxpayers money. Sell the property to lifetime fitness, gain millions for village and save millions on taxes (forever).

Gary avenue was central to the runnings around I had to do and it's hard to beat zero dollars out of pocket with breakfast included... parking lot is expansive but needs smoothed over and new striping but the grounds are fairly tidy as are the common areas inside. didn't meet, exercise, or splash around much this trip; way too tired for that but the room smelled fresh and the bed was plenty comfy. there were a few blemishes in the room but the desk said not to worry after notifying them. same for the main light in the bathroom which malfunctioned as I was packing up yo go home... so again, not the best property ever but it met my middling needs at a budget friendly price and I'd probably stay here at least one more time to check for better/same/worse...

Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was a major disappointment. This property is in serious need…read moreof updates, repairs, and much better attention to cleanliness and guest comfort. The problems started the moment we walked into our room. There was a very strong odor that smelled like ozone, and it was so overwhelming that it actually made us feel lightheaded. We immediately had to open the window to get some fresh air. Thankfully, we had plans to leave for dinner, and by the time we returned, the smell wasn't nearly as bad. However, this is definitely not something guests should experience when checking into a hotel room. The bathroom was especially concerning. The showerhead was filthy, with black buildup on it, and there were also black spots and buildup around the shower area. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, and the shower curtain was ripped and torn. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, and the faucet sprayed water everywhere when turned on. These are basic cleanliness and maintenance issues that should have been addressed long before guests checked in. The room itself wasn't much better. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a decent night's sleep. On top of that, the air conditioner made a loud noise, which only added to the frustration. To make matters worse, the swimming pool is closed due to roof repairs, with no estimated timeline for reopening. The pool is an amenity many guests look forward to when booking a hotel, so having it unavailable with no indication of when it will reopen was another disappointment. We did not complain to the front desk during our stay. By that point, we were completely exhausted and just wanted to get some rest. Unfortunately, our initial impression of the young employee at the front desk didn't give us much confidence that our concerns would be taken seriously. While we can't say how the staff would have responded, we simply didn't have the energy to deal with another issue. For the amount of money guests pay to stay here, I would expect a clean, comfortable room with properly functioning amenities. Unfortunately, that was far from our experience. It's one thing for a hotel to be outdated, but it's another when basic cleanliness, maintenance, and guest comfort seem to be overlooked. Between the concerning odor upon arrival, dirty showerhead, deteriorating bathroom, uncomfortable beds, noisy air conditioner, and closed swimming pool, there were simply too many issues to ignore. Management seriously needs to invest some time and money into this property. These aren't luxury upgrades we're asking for. We're talking about basic maintenance, cleanliness, and providing guests with a safe, comfortable place to stay. I've included photos showing some of the conditions we encountered. Based on our experience, I would have a very difficult time recommending this hotel to anyone until significant improvements are made.
