Food was good, although a bit cold for having just opened. Bathrooms were atrocious, however!

They've taken the white table cloth,…read morecrumb-scraping, chandelier dining experience of Seasons Restaurants and the après-ski, exposed rafters, fireplace & acoustic sounds of Johnny Corduroy found at Black Diamond, and decidedly merged the menus. So yes, you can get pan seared salmon with warm orange vinaigrette and roasted winter vegetables with a Jägerbomb, or spicy buffalo chicken fingers served under silver by white gloves. Saywha? Menu craziness aside, the food is simple and satisfying. The aforementioned salmon was a perfect medium rare and rocked a tacky, sweet glaze, and the Caesar salad (with 'chovies or without) is well dressed and loaded with salty Parm. For dinner service, Jeremie wanted our experience to be so magical, I felt he'd most definitely cause self-harm if we weren't 100% satisfied with everything. Especially those turnips. For the love of all that's snowy, please say you love the turnips. In all seriousness, he was great and the dinner service staff is on point. Breakfast is a bit more casual, but not without clever plating. Most folks opt for the $16 buffet, ripe with fruits, berries, cereals, made-to-order oms, meats and toastables, but for those looking for a single plate, ask about the a la carte menu. Entrees run $7-9 and are plenty hearty enough to energize your inevitable slope tumbling. A tick more costly than off-campus options, but more than perfectly acceptable if you're staying at the Mountain Club.

The coffee is drinkable black, the dining room was bright, and the staff is friendly (though slightly out of it). I think it's $16/pp -- which for any normal breakie buffet that's not a Shoney's (holler at my Southerners), is very respectable. Worth making a trip for? Neg. BUT, if you're staying at the hotel, it's a great option to have -- though I wish they stayed open later -- I think it runs until 9:30a/10a on the weekends, which isn't fully enough time for me to be as much of a fat ass as I desire.

What a pleasant surprise this was! I was coming to buy Girl Scout Cookies as they were being sold…read morethere yesterday (Friday) and I am a sucker for Girl Scouts as my nana spoiled me growing up and bought me boxes of Thin Mints whenever Girl Scout Cookie Season came around. Luckily, i was able to snag the last box of Thin Mints and a box of Trefoils, so I am not complaining. Since I was already at the location, I thought why not try the restaurant. I did not know what to expect and honestly I did not factor in that it was a buffet. Coming from Miami originally (though currently living in Saint Albans), I was lucky (no pun intended ^_^) to have had some really great buffets to experience in Miami, FL (ie. Kyojin in South Miami, Canton in Coral Gables, POC in Coral Gables) but I was craving Chinese food as I had not had any in so long. Lucky Buffet did not disappoint. They had sit down dining service as well as to go service. I am not sure if they deliver. If they did that would be amazing! But it was pretty busy which is always a good sign for a restaurant because it means they are doing good business and there is a demand for it. I ended up eating with my eyes and then my stomach because i filled 2 to go containers with a variety/assortment of foods like General Tso's chicken (my favorite), chicken & broccoli, crunchy and flavorful snap peas, crispy wonton noodles, very breaded/fluffy battered chicken tenders, and some vegetable fried rice that i doused in the General Tsao's sauce). I also got some of these Buttered scalloped potatoes which O-M-G were so darn good. They also had sliced onion mixed into the batch and no complaints there. It came out to a total of $38. There was a sign that said it was like $7.95 for pound of food and I figured I would splurge since I am not sure when I would be back there. I walk everywhere and in the cold, frigid temps, it's a bit cumbersome (and dangerous) to walk with food like that over icy sidewalks and slushy-muddy snow. I can't speak to what dining in would be like, but it seemed pretty decent. There was a steady flow of customers coming in and out which is always good to see. I also liked how they had fortune cookies sitting on display in the middle of the place for guests to take. I took about six lol I can't resist a good old fashioned fortune cookie:) If I ever happen to be walking by again, I would consider it again, but it is a lot of food. So you have to go on an empty stomach and also try not to over indulge or else you will have tummy issues. Chinese food is notorious for having MSG, but I am not sure if they use that there. I will say that they had a pretty decent dessert bar and ice cream selection. The people of Saint Albans are "lucky" to have this restaurant in their midsts. Also parking is pretty ample for those that have vehicles and the restaurant itself seemed pretty clean and well organized. If buffet items got low, they immediately would replenish them. The food was hot and ready to go. A plus was the little keychains being sold at the front at the counter. I had to get a Stitch one because I love the Stitch character. He's so cute ^_^ They also had a Spiderman one and Hello Kitty one so any fans of those characters would be pleasantly surprises and amused to see them being sold there once you check out and pay. Highly recommend this place.

Tried calling the next day to let them know and assumed we would simply get a credit back to our card for the $14 pork fried rice. The only option they would give us is to come back to the restaurant and they would give us a free pork fried rice. This option is laughable because the rest of the food is already consumed and don't know when we will be in the area again. No credit back to the card option and not even a gift card option presented to us. They told us on the phone that there were several orders the day before missing rice and egg rolls.... The food overall was not good, overcooked apps and very very expensive.
