We first discovered this sushi place in Vermont while we were on a ski trip and came to realize that Hannaford is all over the NorthEast!!! At first we were really skeptical about sushi and making rolls at a supermarkets. I had my part of stories to tell. So we bought one roll to try. I remember it was the chicken teriyaki roll. It blew us away how fresh it was. Rice was still soft and overall fresh. Than we found it in Maine and New Hampshire. My kids love sushi and rolls so this time we ot some raw rolls also and it blew us away again!!! We have came to a conclusion that Bento Sushi is legit. This is really fresh rolls as we went at 3pm and there was still someone over the counter making the rolls. My kids misses this the most on our road trip to New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. Definitely, a great place to glad sushi and Maki rolls to go. But try to go there early cause they do get sold out. You get more selections if u go earlier in the day.

It was a great evening - we loved everything we had! We noticed that they have updated their dining room decor and lighting in the past few months - love it! Table lamps are dimmed and the new booths look great, giving a more intimate atmosphere. Food was delicious. We started with his won ton soup and duck and bacon dumplings (those are amazing. Try them!) and then we shared pork dumplings and egg rolls, and the "Walk on the beach" - which is lightly seared tuna - and I had the tuna tataki. I *loved* the tuna tataki - the sauce was absolutely delicious. The tuna from the walk on the beach was a bit too well done for me, but Boyfriend loved it. It was seasoned well. We ordered house fried rice, chicken wings, and orange chicken and crab rangoon. The food was amazing and the flavors hit and didn't miss. One thing I will say about Stowe is the people are the nicest, and this restaurant is not the exception. If you are in this area, eat here!!

The place is geared towards takeout, which is order & pay at the counter with a sea of hard flooring and a few chairs to sit to wait for your order. I stopped by at the Meredith location recently during a set break from a live music performance at the outdoor garden across the street. There was another customer already here and one staff making sushi and food to order in the open sushi kitchen and running the front. After 5 minutes, I placed my order for a Salmon Poke Bowl ($12.99 plus tax) and Steamed Dumplings (6 Gyozas for $4.99 plus tax), The total was $19.30 (cash) or $20.07 (card). The poke bowl was made to order with sushi rice, carrot, cucumber, seaweed salad, avocado slices, soft pieces of salmon topped with a tangy poke sauce and crispy onions & sesame seeds. I took my food back across the street to enjoy while watching a favorite musician perform. The poke bowl was a good portion for the price and had a mix of good flavors. The dumplings were also good, dipping into the sweet & spicy sauce.
