Shepard's Pie...??
Joe H.

Service and atmosphere are great. The food... Now here's the problem. The Steak and Cheese Sandwich was very dry, and didn't have much flavor. The Shepard's Pie was simply... awful. It's supposed to be a thin layer of crispy mashed potatoes over a thick layer of lamb, gravy, peas, carrots and onions. But this? It was nothing but an oval ramekin of mashed potatoes with a few bits of filling mixed in, with a drizzle of gravy sprinkled on top. Very bland, no flavor at all. I paid $22 for this slop. Any Irish tavern that calls this "Shepard's Pie" should be ashamed of themselves. I left hungry.

We visited Lynch's Irish tavern on Father's Day 2022. Emily was our lovely server and we enjoyed our food and time spent here.

Food was delicious. Service was delightful. Dining room and restrooms were spotless!! The 3 in our party all got different things. My Brother had a ribeye with loaded baked potato, mac and cheese, and a salad. It didn't look like he put a dent in it, but he was stuffed (and enjoyed the leftovers later!). The ribeye was cooked just the way he liked it, and was a very generous portion! My husband had the Black and Tan burger with waffle fries. Messy, but delicious. He really enjoyed it. I had the reuben with fresh chips. My husband quickly regretted his burger after trying to corned beef! He loved his burger, but the corned beef was so tender and full of flavor. Nice rye bread too. It was paper thin. It held really good and wasn't dripping with sauce. The fresh chips were great! One of the best reubens I've ever had. It had a good portion of meat, but it was not too much that it was falling out. The atmosphere was great! Our server was on top of everything, and our food came out pretty quick and was all piping hot!

First time to the Raven and impressed with the eclectic decor and friendly server…read more Fun menu with mix and match items. The soup choices are plentiful and the salads were fresh and satisfying. Worth a stop away from chains for sure

I came across this café while looking for a quiet place to get some work done, and I'm so glad I…read moredid! First of all, the name caught my attention because I'm a huge Edgar Allan Poe fan. I was pleasantly surprised that the Poe theme is clever and subtle rather than overly cheesy. The décor has more of an antique bookstore feel, with fun Poe inspired names throughout the menu. Despite the theme, there's nothing dark or dreary about this place. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the service was prompt. Our waiter was friendly and had some great recommendations. The soup sampler was easily the highlight for me. I've never seen anything like it before! I tried the baja chicken enchilada, mushroom with brie cheese, beef chili with beans, and the special of the month potato curry. I ranked them from favorite to least favorite, but honestly, everything was delicious in its own way. My drink and sandwich with a side of potato salad was very tasty! I finished the whole thing! If you're a Poe fan, the witty menu names will definitely make you smile. The food is good, portions are satisfying, and the prices are reasonable. I'd absolutely come back if I'm ever in the area again to try more of the menu.
