Hardworking people and students without cars transfer here to get around and tons of shadesters also transfer here or just hang out here. It could make things interesting, depending on how scary the shadester in question is. The bathrooms are to only be used in a fit of desperation to avoid peeing yourself! In the daytime it's pretty safe, it's a little scary to be here at night though. They have decent snackish options during the day too if you are traveling sans food and get a little bit hungry.

The Valley Stream Central HS district, to which I belonged from 1999 to 2005, uses this company. We got lost a bajiliion times. Literally. One bajiliion. When I was in 8th grade, I told them how to get to a middle school in Uniondale. I was what, 14? It's a joke. We once had a track meet at the 168th st. Armory in Spanish Harlem. Debacle. DEBACLE. Nowadays, I have a different reason to despise these morons. I live around the corner from them, and, as such, we naturally get alot of their traffic. That doesn't upset me so much, I get it. But the drivers are incredibly, incredibly rude. They park all over the place, squeezing in everywhere, partially blocking driveways. If that isn't infuriating enough, they constantly pick one another up in the buses, so that they don't have to walk the oh, I don't know, quarter mile down the block. I constantly get stuck behind these scumbags as they drive 30 feet, pick someone up, drive 45 feet, drop someone off. Drives me nuts. I've lost it on many a driver. This will conclude my rant. Let's recap: I hate this company. They suck at driving, which is a detriment to a transportation company. They suck suck suck suck suck. Suck.

The train is timely and the stations on Long Island well-located and brightly illuminated. Signs can be a bit confusing in Penn Station amidst the multitude of people, but one can find his/her way. The fare is a bit steep. For instance, my wife and I traveled round trip from Penn Station to Merrick (8 stops), and we paid approximately $40 total for off-peak round trip fare. The cars we sat in were fairly clean and the seats comfortable. For rider convenience, especially those commuting daily, power outlets near the seat are a great benefit.

Though the idea of hopping on a train had always frightened me, I became desensitized by how often we'd hear the train TOOT TOOT in the middle of our exams. I did get mooned here once in 4th grade because the people waiting at the train station, 3 of them, decided to pull their pants down. The Centre Avenue school playground is right next to this station. There is only a metal wire fence separating the two. We got so many assemblies informing us about the dangers of the third rail because of this station. Although it may be convenient to have a station here, the Centre Avenue station is 50 cents more expensive than Lynbrook to get to Penn Station and doesn't have as many trains running through there because the only line that passes through it is the Long Beach Line. I prefer the Lynbrook station because more often than not, my destination is either Penn or Woodside, in which case the Babylon AND Long Beach lines can take me. A few more minutes of walking can save 50 cents a ride! Unlike the Lynbrook station, this station doesn't have a booth to talk to someone for help with buying a ticket and also doesn't have a bathroom. The Centre Avenue station has many food places nearby if you hop off and are hungry. One down side to having a train station right next to a school, both Centre Ave. and the high school is that people that live on the opposite side of the school are frequently late to school because of it. I'm blessed enough to never have to deal with either tracks, but I have friends that were always late because of it. The station has one plastic hut to stand inside, the bench that is on the platform is outside, so you get to choose between standing inside or sitting in the sun/rain/snow.

My driver was Jim and he arrived promptly at 3pm. We were treated like we were famous. We were addressed as sir and madam, doors and luggage was handled by him and the ride was very pleasant. The ac was cold and the towne car was immaculate. I will definately use their service again. We gave Jim a nice gratuity and we were on our way to our plane. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to be driven in class and have a nice car and a responsible driver.

I have a love and hate relationship with this train station. The moment you walk towards the ticket…read moremachines, you're like "why the hell does it look so sketchy?" And then you come to the realization that valley stream itself is sketchy as hell. Listen, the area around it isn't bad. There's a deli and a Burrito Monster nearby, probably a 1 min walking distance, from the station. Also, there is a bar which I am unable to access since I am not 21. There also seems to be a cafe that is closed all the time (lol). This is a station that you just wanna be out and about. Get there and get on a train. Get off a train and leave. As simple as that. No point in sticking around waiting for your train.
