There is ample parking available at this train station as well and there is a 7-11 and DD right next store to get your caffeine fix. Taxi stand is also right next to station and there are usually plenty of cabs also waiting as soon as you walk off train. The only reason I am deducting one star is because during peak hours returning from NYC there are not enough trains! I suppose that is not the train stations fault but more of the MTA. Anyway, this is my local station so I will continue to use it whenever needed.

It was super hot outside so we found the lounge area which was air conditioned. I only wished this place had some dining options to enjoy while waiting. I spent some time wandering around to find the bus. There is a parking lot and taxi stand in the back. I was looking around the front and finally found the bus stop sign. There is a Dunkin Donuts down the street but it was a far walk in this heat. I waited with the crowd for the bus which came on time. Everything is confusing the first time you go somewhere but I will get the handle of the area next time I am here.

With the Port Jefferson and Ronkonkoma lines converging like rivers of rail, and the LIRR's best overall frequency of the Big Three, Hicksville provides decent frequency including off-peak hours. There is a bathroom here that I think closes relatively early. While Uber may have evened the score slightly, the old-timey taxi stand was a good option to get to Westbury Music Fair, making this a better choice than Westbury itself.

They never showed up. When I called to check (with only 15 minutes before my appointment), the dispatcher claimed the driver had arrived, honked multiple times, and called me. None of that happened--I was downstairs the entire time and have no missed calls or messages. There was no apology, just indifference. I ended up having to scramble for another ride. I won't be using this service again. At similar prices, I'd recommend using Uber or Lyft, which at least show up and provide tracking.

When we got to the car, instead of saying hi or being professional, he rudely told us we were making him late because he had to go to Smithtown after us. Then, he drove us to the WRONG AIRPORT. For the trip back, I got a text from Damian Smith when we landed, telling us he was running late. I appreciated the heads-up. He said it would be about 35 minutes, which would have been only a short wait for us after getting our bags, but it ended up being over an hour and 40 minutes. We kept checking in with phone calls and texts and he always said he was very close and would be there soon. At one point he said he had stopped to get gas. Then he said he was very close and that we should come outside. So we waited another ten minutes in the cold with our newborn baby after a 2 hour flight and he still wasn't there. I called him and demanded to know where he was, explaining that my newborn was cold and hungry and he hung up on me. Not knowing what else to do, I called the company to complain and cancel the ride. Just as he was pulling up, the company hung up on me. Damian now wants to talk to me "man to man". He said the safety of his passengers is his number one priority and that he had to get his wheel fixed, as if I should have both known that was what was really going on, and that I should have been grateful that was the reason he was late, instead of doing the right thing and letting us and the company know so other arrangements could be made. He denied hanging up on me. And felt he had to explain that he was in the right because the wheel needed to be fixed. He also told us he had to drive to Canada the next day. When he got us home, he said "See? You're home safe." As if he was a hero. Worst experience ever.
