I've gotten reddish hI-lights REPEATEDLY. Told my hair just lifts warm. I had a long time, 19+ years, stylist. I changed to a younger funkier stylist. 2x I didn't get what I wanted. I was very sad. I was leaving for holiday in a few weeks and really wanted my hair "did" for it. I asked a friend who she goes to cuz her hair is magnificent, she said Leah was her girl. Leah was booked the friendly receptionist suggested Sam and I could get in the next day. I booked then almost canceled. I was terrified of getting something ugly. I went even though I was so scared. I arrived 20 minutes early. The receptionist greeted me and offered a hot cuppa coffee and shortly after Sam came and got me. I showed him a few, many lol, pics on my Pinterest and he said yes we can do that. Not today but we'll get started. I thought oh great this song and dance again. I've heard this !!! He said I see a icy blonde and get rid of the uneven black... Balance it out. Within 45 minutes I was under the drier and then the sink, waiting for my hair to process and lift. The sink had a foot rest and was THE most comfy wash chair I'd ever been in. Sam explained everything he did along the way. He cut my hair and taught the receptionist how he does layers. He was kind and patient with her. Asking questions about her schooling and being so supportive and enthusiastic about her progress. Sam cut my hair and left it longer than I wanted but it looked AWESOME!!!! He trimmed a tad more, blew it dry then had the receptionist curl my hair. She was so sweet. Talkative and kind. She took me outside to take pics and then cashed me out. Sam came over to wish me well and thank me for my business. I took my own pics and sent them to my hubby and daughter. They both loved my hair and even commented that it's NEVER looked so good. I will most definitely be back and will tell everyone to go there !!!!!

I have been looking for a hairdresser for a couple of years after coming to Calgary. I have asked women on the streets if I thought their cuts were done nicely. Then I would go and check the salons spending lots of money and having one failure after another. Sometimes the I would go to the same place for 2-3 times until they ruin my hair or make a fatal mistake in cutting. And then repeat ad nauseum. Finally I got lucky. I saw a lady with a great haircut, I made a compliment, she said she gets great comments about her hair every time, I got the address and the name. It was early March and I had to wait for two weeks to get an appointment. " He must be popular"- I said to the receptionist. "Oh, yes!"-she said with pride in her voice. Sam is great. He is never pushy. He will ask what you want but I prefer to ask _him_ what is the best for my hair. His salon carries a line of products but he never up-sells. And the products work, too. Life is so much easier when you have a great hair dresser. ;-))

My hair was blond and has been for many, many years. His ass't Linda took me to a chair and promptly started to wash my hair. I asked her if they could give me a shine toner/gloss and she said yes. Ziad then came out, looked at my hair and told Linda the toner to use. The toner she used, turned me into a brunette. I was horrified. Ziad told me that he was the expert and he would call me if he needed my assistance. (What???). Then, he decided to use a color remover - left it up to Linda to monitor. My hair then turned auburn! When I showed a picture of me from my phone from last week, he told me that it was not the color I came in with. He basically called me a liar. Ziad is pompous, scarcastic, egotistical, rude and completely lacks customer service skills. He did NOT take responsibility for his errors! STAY AWAY from this shop unless you are prepared to be abused by the owner!

She used the rotary tool while poking me with her pointy nails, flopping me around like she was handling meat. Now I have no thickness to my nails, they are pink and translucent, and they hurt and split. I cut them and right to the tip and applying Nail Envy nonstop till they grow back. Ouch. I will never go there again - I said this before to myself but I mean it this time. So inconsistent.

I work in an industry where a lot of lifting is required and my nails seem to break often so I have always asked for a thicker coat of acrylic and that always seems to work! No broken nails! Ps. This is the second time in a row I have gotten my arms waxed and there is still hair on my elbows and random places when I leave. Also I booked in for a full arm and was asked where should it end, in which reply just before my shoulder. Well the Esthectican told me she stops half way on the upper arm. So now I technically have a 3/4 arm wax. I understand probably most people that's all they want. But you asked and I answered. I just wanted everything gone. Which I did not get and that's what I'm paying for right?
