There were 2 ocassions where I they pushed/cleaned my cuticle was too much and it started bleeding. It wasn't too bad and person working on my nails sincerely apologized - so I'm totally fine with it. And to be honest my skin and nails are kind of fragile and thin so I can see it happening if you go too far with the cuticle push/clipping(sorry for the wrong nail jargon as my knowledge with nail stuff is quite limited). I give them 5 stars because I really enjoy going there to get my nails done. Mint's location is far from where I live ( the SE), but I will take time out of my day to drive there because their service is superb. In addition to their awesome service the atmosphere in mint is modern, clean, and friendly. So I definitely recommend Mint for a relaxing nail spa day! :)

They didn't sanitize their tools either. In a pre-Covid world you're used to seeing lots of measures to ensure that clients are safe and everything is sanitized. The one nail technician pretended that she didn't speak English to my Caucasian friend and when I went into Booker's appointments she spoke perfect English to me and I am Asian. What's also interesting is they didn't cut our cuticles nor dip our hands in water like any other typical nail salon and I had to ask for it and they said that you have to specify which I find very concerning. I thought powder dip nails and had asked for my tips to be more narrow which I did not get an along the way she missed a step and I called her out on it along with the lack of cuticle cutter in which they did to both of us afterwards. My friend paid $65 which included a nail polish change that looked like her three year old daughter dead and I paid $69 for my tips it is very sad as we have been here before and are definitely not going back and will be telling all of our friends not to. In the world pre-during and post Covid you would think that customer service and the end product would be better for the price we are paying and then you wouldn't want to retain clients it makes me wanna open a nail shop.
