Great time at Lyaness! Cocktails were all delicious, service attentive, music good, great decor and view. What's not to love?! Only con is the bathroom being so far. Try the multi milk!

    - super cute bar with tons of seating - excellent view of the water and colored buildings - very comfortable seating by the bar, or open areas on soft cushions - 90% of the people were on dates, and a few were making out while at the bar - cocktails were good, but nothing out of the ordinary; tried the black champagne, which did not taste like champagne but looked excellent, and the elephant martini, which was too heavy on the vermouth - prices were extremely reasonable Overall, good cocktails with a superior view. Nothing overly unique about their cocktail blends, but well worth bringing a date or friends.

Cool and unique afternoon tea concept here. The tea could have been more flavorful but I loved the food. We got freshly baked scones, spicy sandwiches, and great desserts. You also have a great view of River Thames. Overall I'm happy with my experience here

One evening I spent here sipping on cocktails listening to a DJ pump the jams of 2000s Hip Hop. The next week I was here having afternoon tea! This place can be an evening or an afternoon go-to! Really great experience in both instances. Got to pop in for a handful of craft cocktails on rotation while the beats went on into the night. And then the tea had tasty sandwiches and pastries, plus tea and three paired cocktails course by course. Excellent all around! Would 100% recommend this spot for many reasons!

Delightful spirited tea! All the cocktails were marvelous, so was the food only I wish there was more of it.

When I visited London, I was looking for the most optimal high tea experience for my tastes because I didn't want to overpay for some average experience. I ended up finding this Sri Lankan high tea at Lyaness and it was incredible!! We did the tea and cocktail option, and all of the cocktails were incredibly well paired. The food was also delicious; pandan Swiss roll and the chicken sandwich were my favorites, but everything was good. I will say the tea selections were just alright, but the food, cocktails, and service made up for that. The ambiance of the place was also amazing, very large space with bright light and modern art deco decorations. Would definitely come back and recommend this high tea experience to anyone!

21 Daisies - wow! This is one of the most well balanced drinks I've ever had.

London has the best drinks. I always have amazing drinks here. Lyaness is a nice little vibe. Bartenders are super friendly, good music is flowing and the river views are unbeatable. It's close to a tube station which helps. The drinks are very unique. This is not your run of the mill bar (It was on the list of world's best bars.) Bartenders are more than willing to help recommend something if you need suggestions but really anything you order will be good. Definitely adding this to my list of bars to keep visiting in London.

    Sri Lankan high tea

Cool spot for cocktails and high tea, right by the water. We did the high tea package which comes with unlimited tea (can also do the same but with cocktails), and a mix of savory and sweet food. The savory food has a Sri Lankan twist to it which is nice if you're looking for some savory sandwiches with a little extra spice/flavor.

Unique cocktails, lots of liquors listed on the menu, loud-ish music, posh setting. Service was fantastic, attentive, answered questions. Drinks were made with custom, unique ingredients. Butternut squash flatbread with figs delicious!

Cool space, unique cocktail menu, personable servers, and yummy drinks. We made a reservation and got a comfy seat near the windows where we could watch the people walking by. White Sbagliato was a refreshing way to start and the Tropical Martinez was as smooth and perfectly balanced. Lots of other options I wanted to try from the menu that is cleverly based around a few anchor ingredients and accompanied by a helpful map that lays them all out in terms of flavor profile. Our server was a gem and gave us some helpful recommendations of other places to visit during our stay. Always trust the people who work in the industry to know where to go! Recommend this place and would definitely return.

Beautiful cocktail bar. Definitely a different concept. It wasn't our favorite only because we believe the cocktails didn't match our flavor profile. Other than that, it's definitely a unique creation for the cocktails and deserves to be recognized. We also tried the 'nudja flatbread and the curry goat flatbread. WOW! Delicious.

People go to upscale cocktail bars for a variety of reasons - some go for the craft, others perhaps more for the ambience, the history of a place, or something else entirely (convenience in location!). I had bookmarked this institution because a) the Internet seemed to suggest it was indeed an institution and b) I wanted to take a friend out for an intimate night out. In short, I was looking for something uniquely artisan with attentive service and an intimate space. I found all those qualities and more at Lyaness. It took us some reading and re-reading with the assistance of our kind server, but the menu was quite extraordinary - it's arranged by homemade mixer (non-alcoholic) which can be made into a cocktail or mocktail. You can choose a pre-set cocktail or have them make something traditional with the twist only adding the in-house concoction as well. My first drink was an old fashioned with a yeasted malty adder. Our server (Steven, was it?) was such a gem, he brought us out little samples of the feature mixers so we could try them separately. The service was impeccable. I left for a few minutes to use the restroom and a server had taken my drink to put in a chilled space so it wouldn't warm up while I was gone! I don't recall the last time I felt so cared for at a bar. :) looking forward to my next trip to London as I'm sure to make a return visit.

FRIES WITH TRUFFLE CHEESE The fries weren't as crispy as I would've liked, but the soft bite similar to mashed potatoes was pretty good. The cheese itself really carried the rich flavors of the truffle without overwhelming your tastebuds. Such a decadent cheese. SALT AND PEPPER SQUID The squid meat itself wasn't over cooked which is easy to do and makes it feel like you're chewing on a tire. Not the case here. The squid was fried perfectly, nice and crispy first bite. The garlic aioli complimented the batter they used to fry the squid in, very tasty. PEKING DUCK LETTUCE WRAPS These lettuce wraps were the perfect two bites sized appetizers. Such a flavorful and well cooked duck. The cucumber salad and lettuce helped bring the intensity of flavors down so that you could enjoy every bite. There's a full bar, but service is a little slow and congested. Staff are really nice and friendly. The dart games are so involved where each player can have their selfie taken and name displayed on the board. You can compete as teams or against each other depending on your chosen game. At the end, there is a final game stats to show who won and a group photo to conclude all the fun. A fantastic way to test out your dart skills and have fun with your loved ones!

And it was loud. I guess technically it was a darts place and so there was a lot of excitement near the dartboard area. The bar staff were all buzzing about shaking their shakers and pouring drinks. It was a great vibe - apropos for a Friday night. Ok we got the little bit lychee drink (subbed vodka for gin) which was excellent with what looked like a dark dahlia floating on top. I wanted to try a British beer and got the magic rock saucery session pale ale (saying its name is like a built in sobriety test). The ale was definitely IPA but with a really clean finish. And because I'm a pig, ordered the fries with truffle cheese. Wow that was so so good! Shoestring fries with a heavy drizzle of truffle melted cheese. I can't really complain about the super loud music since it probably suited the main clientele and was really good (club versions of many 80s songs). So it looks like a really fun joint for the young locals with some older folks who maybe stumbled in like we did. Really nice bartenders and front staff. Thanks for not giving us a BS line to keep us out like the other place.

Came here for pre-theater anniversary dinner with my wife. The ambiance was somewhere between that of a trendy club and nice bar. There was a mad scientist vibe with the lights being industrial vibe and some metal decor. The music was thumpy and loud enough to remind you it was there. It made me feel a bit out-of-place as somebody well past my 20s, but also a bit cool or being there. You really come here for the drinks. We got the pipe dream, smokey old fashioned, honeypot picante, and one other I can't remember the name of, but which came in a flower pot. The pipe dream and smokey old fashioned were likely the best. Overall the drinks were more visually appealing than traditionally good and the visually appealing ones tended to have ingredients that weren't as top shelf and/or they were just too sweet. Not bad, but disappointing for what we'd hope. The food was the opposite. I had low expectations and the food wasn't amazing, but was better than average. We got the bao buns, crispy duck pancakes, panko halloumi, katsu curry, and hot honey pork tacos. They arranged for it all to come out in time for us to make our theater show, which was nice. The bao buns and pork tacos were probably the best. Neither blew me away, but both were solid. The katsu curry and halloumi were standard of what you might expect. The crispy duck pancakes was maybe as advertised, but it would have been nice to have some moistness or substance to the dug vs. it basically being crunchy salty bits of something. Overall, this wasn't a bad meal, but it wasn't quite what I was hoping for either. We may be back, but we'll probably try other things first.
