I wish they have a price chart for all items but the cashier said they don't and it's based on their experience, which makes no sense. The customers should have the right to know what their items will cost ahead of time. The throw blanket was $45 and the cropped trench jacket was $24.50. Dropped off Wednesday morning and pick up is the following Tuesday afternoon. Pay cash to avoid 3.5% credit card fee. I like how the cashier was honest and told me I can throw my throw blanket in the washing machine due to its material, which I agree 100% but I wanted the furs to be fluffy so opted for dry cleaning.

Unfortunately, my experience this time was completely different. I brought in a simple double layered dress that only needed to be hemmed and was quoted $140, more than the dress itself! I was told that because it had two layers, it was essentially like "hemming two dresses." At $70 a layer, I guess every layer counts. I then asked about simply taking in the waist of a pair of jeans. I was initially quoted $25, but after looking at them again, I was told there was suddenly "a lot more work" involved and that I had been quoted incorrectly. At that point, I took both items and left. I went to another alterations shop and was quoted under $100 for BOTH the dress and the jeans. It seems management may have changed since my last visit, which is unfortunate because I was previously very happy with their work. Hopefully the pricing doesn't continue in this direction, because $140 to hem a simple dress is pretty hard to justify.

She is incredibly precise, detailed, and fair priced. I have always been happy with her work, and she is a big reason I continued coming back over the years. The tailor I have always used was still working here, but it appears the business is now under new management. I was quoted $180 to hem a double-lined dress and $210 for a dress with three layers. That is an enormous increase from what I have paid for essentially the same service over the years. I politely declined and took my dresses to another dry cleaner up the street (still in Hoboken). They charged me $85 for the double-lined dress and $125 for the three-layer dress - which was much more in line with what I have historically paid. I completely understand that prices increase and that businesses have to adjust their pricing, but these prices felt excessive, especially given my long history as a customer and the fact that I was able to get the exact same alterations done elsewhere for significantly less. Very disappointing to see such a drastic change at a place I had trusted for years. I will not be coming back.

I took it to the cleaners the next day. I explained the situation and even had the guy who received it comment that it looks like an expensive coat, which it was, $1500 to be exact. Fast forward to me receiving the coat back a week later in an atrocious condition. It looks like they put it through hell and back! I immediately called them and they said they'd get back to me. I followed up days later after never hearing back from them and the text exchange with them was insane! I thought them ruining my new coat was terrible but the lack of accountability, the rudeness, gaslighting and lack of care from them has been the worst part.
