This place deserves all the stars possible. I'm spending four weeks in Elmhurst and needed to have laundry done. I live a very busy life and, on a rare day off, the last thing I want to do is spend hours in a coin-operated laundromat watching my clothes go around in circles and then having to fold them. This is why I spend a little extra to send my clothes out. It's worth it to have my free day not be tied up by laundry. At Zhen Wai Laundry, it doesn't cost much more than a normal do-it-yourself laundromat. I dropped off 20 pounds of clothes and paid $16 cash for same-day service. They offered to deliver it to me, but since I was in the area, I picked it up. My clothes were ready in less than 8 hours after I dropped them off. And they were washed and folded with precision. The clothes smelled wonderful. They weren't as fluffy as my place back home, but still, that's nothing to complain about when I just got all my laundry done for $16. They didn't laugh when I brought my clothes in a trash bag (I forgot about packing a laundry bag while prepping for my four weeks away from home). And when I picked my clothes up, the woman noticed it would be difficult to carry a 20-pound plastic bag of clothes home, so she gave me an IKEA "big blue bag" so I'd have something sturdy with straps to carry my clothes home. In the end, 20 pounds of clothes washed and folded in under 8 hours for a total of $16. And they wouldn't accept the tip I offered them. I wish they had taken it, as I almost feel bad at how cheap their laundry service was. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to place for wash and fold laundry services. read more

They are amazing! I gave them about 37-40lbs of laundry and it cost me $50 with a tip. They did accept a tip from me which actually made me happy. They are so polite too. Here are some tips: 1. Cash only 2. Specify whether you want same day service because if not they won't deliver until you ask for it I think that's really it. This cost me just as much if I did it in my building! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ZHEN WAI! I mean what is not to love about this place? We drop off our laundry twice a month and we get it back DELIVERED! Yes! I was skeptical at first but after the first time I received my laundry back perfectly sorted and folded smelling SOOOOO GOOOD and 25 pounds for 15 bucks???? I used to pay that amount and more doing it myself wasting so much time sorting, then washing, then drying, then folding, then storing.... uggghhh goodbye to those days! I seriously DO NOT know what I would do without them. Truth be told we live quite far from an adequate laundromat and we were spoiled for so long with laundry in building that discovering Zhen Wai has been a true life saver! I love this place. Extremely fast service. They have never lost an item (that I know of). They can do same day pick up, wash, and drop off. Pick up is usually around 1pm on the weekend and then drop off around 7-9pm. They are flexible and allow me to use my own detergent. They seem very non-judgemental of whatever weird stuff is in my laundry basket haha. read more

Ok I never thought I would be writing a review on a laundromat but this place really deserves more than 5 stars for a number of reasons: -The price is unbeatable -My clothes smell AMAZING and are super soft -They sorted out my socks from the pile of laundry I had and put it in a separate plastic bag!! -Since there is no parking in the area, the lady suggested that when I go to pick up my drop off service to give the laundry a call. They will come out and drop the bag off to your car!!! I've never been this happy with my laundry services. They are great and deserve all the business they can get! Fantastic. Would never use any other laundry service. Wonderful family owned business that my husband and I have been using for years. They pick up and drop off for free, always sort and wash exactly as requested, remember to use fragrance free detergent for us, and return everything quickly and neatly folded and organized. And it's a great deal. We usually pay about $20 for 1.5-2 weeks worth of dirty clothes. They also always refuse a tip and once or twice we didn't have enough cash (bc they caught us by surprise delivering the clothes back earlier than expected) and they just shrugged it off and told us to pay next time. My new go to place for laundry! Found it this week and we are so happpy we did. Super inexpensive but even if they weren't I think I would still bring my laundry here because they are SO GREAT! Not only are they super friendly but they go above and beyond for customer service. Genuinely kind and hard working people. They actually ask you if you want to bleach the whites and what type of detergent I prefer and if I want fabric softener. A definite first and I appreciated it. When we pulled up today to pick up the laundry, I hadn't even parked the car and she was already running out with my bag so I wouldn't have to go in. I usually only drop off my laundry when I don't have time to get to it but I think I'll be giving them my business from now on. Not just friendly but they do a great job! read more
