Once they started working on her, it was completely awful work and nothing close to an hombre nail style that she requested. They told her that they cleaned her up and she can find another nail shop that does hombre nails and she can have it done there. Awful customer service awful owner. This is the worst manicure/fill I have ever gotten. The male tech caused several of my nails to bleed. One of my nails is so lopsided it makes my finger look like it's deformed. I asked him to fix it but he just filed it down a little and left it. When asking for my nails to be shorter he waited until after filling them to cut them down which resulted in literally every single nail being a different length and width. I have never seen a nail tech cut the nails after the fill. Not once did he put my nails side by side to confirm the lengths were even throughout. The thumbs and pinky nails are significantly longer than the rest of the nails. Also, there are pieces of something( little flecks) throughout the nails that cause them to have bumps and lumps under the polish. So disappointed, I have to go get my nails done again somewhere else and just wasted a bunch of money. *after arriving home one of my nails is lifting and close to coming off. I've never had a nail become loose within an hour of a fill, I called and spoke with the same tech that did my nails who I believe is one of the owners and he said I would have to come in with the card used to receive a refund, after showing up they declined knowing anything it and a refund was not issued read more

I rarely get manicures, but this was probably one of the best manicures I've ever had! I went at about 3 on Friday and it was packed! I was worried that there would be a long wait. Fortunately they were able to do our nails right away! The guy at the front desk was very friendly, as was everyone else working there. They worked quickly but efficiently, which is appreciated for getting my nails done! The lady who did my nails did a great job too, they all look evenly shaped and painted, I picked a sea foam green-type color. Awesome nail place, gets my stamp of approval for sure. read more

Very nice salon. Clean, friendly and professional. I came in as a walk in for a pedi and within minutes was seated and provided water. They have tons of colors to choose from. I'd highly recommend. Worst Nails Ever!!!! Im in the beauty business and have been for 30 years. Its ok to mess up. Whats not ok is to not do right by your customers. I went in and got a full set ( this was done by the owner I believe). That set wasn't bad so I went back for a fill. Someone else did my fill. Within 1 day I had 2 broken nails, I went in and got them repaired. In 2 days I had 4 more broken nails all breaking in the same exact spot. When i went in to get them fixed the owner told me she would take care of me. She then had her brother do my nails, he told me I had to get a new set because they were not done well. He replaced my horrible nails with more not so great nails and then proceeded to tell me I had to pay for the full set but he was going to give me a $5 discount. I had just got a new set 2 weeks before this and paid full price and paid for a fill for nails that were garbage and all broke. They absolutely should have fixed my nails for free. I had already been inconvenienced and had to come in twice to fix the awful nails but now you want me to pay you extra because you sold me horrible nails????? I've gone to this location because it is the closest to me when I don't feel like driving far for a pedicure. I stopped going for pedicures because I get gel pedicures and the staff was clearly not happy about having to do gel on my toes. I brought my friend with for a pedicure and the lady tried to talk her out of getting gel, clearly not wanting to take that extra time. My friend had to go back the next day because her gel nail polish came off her big toe completely. The staff is not very friendly, I've invited friends a few times and left embarrassed because of the friendliness of the staff. The guy that works at the front is very nice and friendly but he's about the only one. I came back today because I took my acrylics off and thought they would be able to do a regular manicure. The girl did not take her time and rushed through everything. I left with nail polish around my nails as she did not clean my nails up at the end, I was going to ask her to clean them up but she rushed to the back at the end. Had a pedicure this morning with Nancy. First nicked one of my cuticles, then made my big toe bleed. Kept telling me to relax which is really hard to do when it hurts. Then I asked her to stop for a little because my ingrown toenail was hurting - I wanted to have it soften a bit and asked her if I could soak some more. She said no I'm almost done. Really? Nice salon but not quality work and the nail techs are RUDE DIVAS! I have been a client of Sean's for a while but the past couple times I have some to the place the random lady doing my nails has a terrible attitude. My last pedicure the lady kept telling me I need to get a better package and I politely replied no thank you, after the 3rd time I was irritated as I had made my choice and expressed it. Then she continues to say things like "to bad you didn't get the other pedicure you would get longer massage". How rude! Then I asked her if she could do a design (it was horizontal lines with a small heart) and showed her the picture at least 3 times. When she "finished" it was just lines, when I asked her about the heart her reply was "oh I'm done, you didn't tell me. Next time tell me that". So the picture wasn't showing her?! Since I have had some good experiences there I decided to give them another try. I went for a manicure, again the lady was so rude to me. This place has been an undiscovered treasure for a couple years! I had been loyal to another salon down the street and decided it was time for a change. What a great change it was! It's quiet, no huddle and bustle that you hear in other salons. It's spacious and decorated nicely so it provides a relaxing environment. Once I sit down I know I'm completely taken care of and walk out feeling like a new girl every time! Their color selection is HUGE including the new SNS powders! Ms Tina takes care of my toes and pays attention to the smallest of details, they've never looked and felt better! Ms Heidi takes care of my nails and her attention to detail is incredible!! Went in to get a gel manicure done by Diane. I am not sure if the base coat was just poor quality or if my nails were filed down way too much, but when I put my hand under the UV light it burned really badly. When I told her that it was painful she did not even acknowledge me. When my hand came out from under the light, the polish had bubbled as if it boiled. She asked me to put my other hand under the light and the same thing happened. I told her it really shouldn't burn like this and Diane rolled her eyes, huffing and puffing as if I was a huge inconvenience. She took off the gel base coat and then went back to put THE SAME polish on again. Before she started I asked her, "are you putting on the same polish that just burned me?" And she said "yep." I got up and paid for the polish removal and left. Everyone else here treated me with respect besides her. Unfortunately never coming back to this place again. *Not a good place for male patrons! *Service seems to really vary depending on which tech you get Luxury Nails did a very poor job of satisfying us as customers & did little to ensure that we would ever want to return. I visited this location with my boyfriend who was going to try having a pedicure for the first time. We figured he'd be able to get everything minus the polish. We asked them if they performed these services for men & they told me on the phone & again in person that they do. My pedicure went well - the massage was relaxing and my toes looked nice once finished. However, I was really disappointed as I watched the services my boyfriend received. The woman that was working on him did not seem to be doing much. His pedicure started after mine & was done before mine. I was watching the woman doing the massage & she seemed very distracted & was just barely rubbing his foot or leg with her finger tips while looking the other direction. She picked up the nail oil (that's normally used just on the nails) and squeezed that all over one of his legs. When she looked down, she picked up a different bottle & then layered that over the oil on one leg & squeezed only that one on the other leg. When she performed the hot stone massage, all she did was lightly run the stone along his legs & after that she got up and was apparently done. She didn't say it was finished, so we weren't sure until we realized that she was cleaning up other stations & had moved on to another guest. My massage, which had started before his, was still in progress at that point & then my nails were going to be polished, so we were surprised that his was over so soon. At the end, we explained up front that the experience was disappointing & they offered us nothing. They said - next time we'll give him someone better. Stopped here today for a gel manicure and deluxe pedicure because it was within walking distance and they had good reviews. Heidy was great, my manicure looks great and so far the deluxe pedicure is worth it. She was sweet and chatty when I wanted to chat and also let me me relax during the pedicure. The place was clean, lady at the desk was friendly and although it was busy - I didn't have to wait long. I love the liners they put on the foot bowls, Brilliant! Never seen them before. As stated in other reviews, they are pretty pushy when it comes to upselling the pedicures. Heidy was not pushy, but I saw the lady next to me get bombarded. Dare I say "as good as it gets?" Really, though. Clean, friendly, efficient, relaxing, even their song rotation is enjoyable! You don't feel rushed at all, the massage chairs are the bomb, color selection is on point. I went to get gel nails because my nails were a beautiful length. I made an appointment with a different gal because my favorite lady left. I was extremely excited to get my nails done because I'm finally able to get them regularly. Now i'm PISSED. I was told Heidi was doing my nails. I went to get them done and she did a TERRIBLE job. They literally peeled off of my nails. I've had gel nails before so its NOT that my nails are too oily for gel. The nail polish literally peeled off at the tips and some even peeled off of my nail in one piece when I took a bath. It happened on 4 nails total. I went back in to complain and the man who owns the store made me go back to Heidi (i really didn't want to) and I complained saying she didn't wrap my tips and that's why it happened. She redid the nails that came off. THEN THEY PEELED OFF AGAIN! I don't do anything harsh with my hands so there's no reason why this was happening other than she DIDN'T wrap my tips. I know enough about nails to tell that if you don't wrap the tips they will come off easier. I am beyond pissed. I am only a student and I work part time so having a terrible manicure for $40 is hard on me. I use to go to this salon because I loved this lady named Dawn. I don't think I'll ever come back to this salon. It's too bad. I wish I could get my $40 back. Now my nails are TERRIBLE. They're so fragile now. They're breaking and not long anymore. Tom did my full set and he did such a good job! Payed attention to details and did my nails exactly the way I like. Best set I've gotten here. Holly did my pedicure and it was not a good experience. I asked for the euro spa pedicure, however that's not what I got. The entire pedicure was over in less than 30 minutes! It's supposed to be 50 minutes. She did not massage my feet or legs, used room temperature stones for 5 minutes, wiped my legs off, rinsed, and painted my toe nails. I've had better service with other nails techs when I asked for a basic pedi. I'll be sure to go else where for pedicures from now on. Wasted money on an unpleasant experience. read more

I went to Paulenes for years until the owners were horribly rude and accusatory after I could not make an appointment due to a spinal injury where I could not walk or stand up. They claim that they answer phones 30 minutes prior to opening on Sunday, I called 4 times to reschedule, and there was no answer from 938am to 958am. They NEVER answer phones on Dunday mirnings before about 1015am. I.have been told that it is because thry are too busy. When I called the next day to inform them, I was belittled and berated for not calling, told that my phone was the one with issues, and reprimanded like a child. This is so unfortuate because I had a regular woman I saw for manicures and one for pedicures. They have lost business due to the horrible customer service of the owners. I have gone back to Scottsdale Nails by AJs, and I told them about my experience at Paulenes. They have promised not to ever treat me that way and have recommended two quality technicians for me.
