I've been going to the waugh location for the past few months. I will say, that when I began…read moreservice here. My lashes did not last a week. I had to go back for touch ups each week. The company explained that this is normal because these are not permanent lashes. I usually get lash extensions from another place and they usually last for at least 3 weeks with minimum fall out. Because of this I don't consistently attend chic lash boutique. In this economy today, if I pay a $150 for lashes. I want them to last at least 2-3 weeks without having to touch them up. My favorite lash artist is Mary, she's kind, and skilled.

But as cautious as she was pre covid-19, she is consistent post or should I say "DURING" covid-19 as well. She has remained solid in cleaning her materials and I just knew she would follow protocol even afterwards. She wore her mask and used sanitizer on her hands, and I wore my mask. She still thoroughly cleans her client's lashes too. ALL was well. She even took it as far as to cover up her client laying pad with sanitary paper so as not to transfer any kind of liquid or particles, etc. from one appointment to the next. AGAIN, I haven't seen her in almost half a year and she's so detailed that she still remembered what I wanted because she keeps notes on all of her clients! That's so smart!!! INSTEAD of asking, "how do you want it?" each time. I've said before and I'll say it again...no one else is TOUCHING my lashes but her! The times that I had to wear makeup (which was only five times since March of this year) I used the magnetic lashes which was Moxie Lash but there's nothing that beats the touch of Vu Lashes hands on my eyelashes! Ets was one of the first salons to pop up on a Google search, so I crossed my fingers and booked an appointment. I came in, politely greeted the receptionist who gave me a look, then went back to typing on her computer. The only word I heard from her was a blunt "name." My stylist was not very friendly either. She had me sit down on the bed and anything barely came out of her mouth either. As she was looking at my lashes, she kept telling me how horrible of a job my previous stylist did, and how she was going to have to fix it. She even huffed about it and really made me feel like a huge burden on her. She also told me that I should have known when my eyelashes felt heavy, or because the length was incorrect. I told her I had only gotten them done twice... Aside from feeling completely unwelcomed, she did do a very nice job and made my lashes look so much better. On my second appointment, I arrived 15-20 minutes beforehand because there are many strict rules on the website about no shows, cancellations, and appointment deposits. To my surprise, the door was locked. How odd. Most businesses clearly state that they keep their doors open during business hours. I waited 5-10 minutes before emailing and trying to call to get an explanation. I checked my emails and text messages, there was no notice that my appointment was canceled or the provider was unavailable. With my card on file, I definitely was worried they would somehow charge as a no show. Another patron arrived only to see the door was locked too. We waited a few more minutes before she went back to her car to wait. After 20-25 minutes, the provider opened the door, as if it was no big deal and gave no explanation. She invited me to sit in the chair and began the eyebrow lamination process. After applying the lamination cream to my eyebrows, she stepped away for 15 minutes to provide an eyebrow wax service to another customer and cash them out. The lamination cream is only meant to go on for 7-10 minutes, so it felt irresponsible to leave the cream for 15+ minutes. After the cream was removed, she then began to wax my eyebrows. Rather than apply the wax selectively to where it was needed, she was doing broad lines across the entire eyebrow which inevitably meant waxing skin with no hair. It was painful as she ripped the sheets of wax off in a single go. It was only once I got home, and I looked into the mirror that I realized how ripped my skin was. Now, I am 3 days away from the photoshoot knowing that I am going to have to use makeup to cover up where my skin is irritated and ripped from the eye brow service. In hindsight, it is better to do threading than waxing to avoid the risk of skin ripping as a result of eyebrow waxing.
