I chose Luxury Autobody for repairs to my wife's vehicle after receiving three estimates and finding their pricing competitive. However, I was disappointed with the communication about an additional mirror repair. At drop-off, I pointed out a roughly dime-sized scuff on the side mirror and asked Edgar whether it could be touched up. He said that would be no problem. My understanding was that we were discussing a cosmetic touch-up. I later learned that the estimate included approximately $1,500 for a replacement mirror. When I questioned this, Edgar told me the mirror was broken and sent a photo. I explained that the scuff had come from contact with my garage door and was unrelated to the collision for which we brought the vehicle in. After we discussed it further, Edgar offered to remove the mirror-replacement cost. I appreciated that offer and told him I was willing to pay a reasonable amount for touching up the scuff, as originally requested. What frustrated me was the difference between the work I understood we had discussed and the replacement listed in the estimate. I would have appreciated a clear explanation of why a replacement was being proposed before it was included. The car rental company picked me up from there (and after, I left the rental car with Luxury Auto Body, and they took it from there--very helpful!). They provided an estimate of 10 days but after inspecting the car more thoroughly and knowing we were driving out of town the next week, they were able to complete the car in its entirety before we left. I took my 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser to Luxury Auto Body and had an overall great experience. They were knowledgeable on time frame to fix, and communicated that there would most likely be delays due to part shortages. When I got my car back it was detailed inside and out and you couldn't even tell there was damage done. He made sure my car was done in a timely matter and they had it completed at the correct turn around time. It was no hassle at all.
