Very pleased! These guys did great work replacing a bumper. The paint match is fantastic, you cannot tell the difference between the 5-year-old portions of the car and the new parts of the car. They also washed the car and vacuumed the inside -- it's in cleaner condition than when I left it. All in all, it's clear they take pride in their work. Miguel, who runs the customer-facing side things, was friendly, knew his stuff, and straightforward. His father is the one who does the painting, and has been doing this since the 1990s. One of the few mom-and-pop shops left in the area. The quote for the work was comparable to the big chains, timeline was relatively quick, and the work great quality. I came to Angel as a referral when the hood on my 2015 Lexus IS 250 was damaged. Angel and his team were very responsive and professional. RUN don't walk! My husband has been going to Angel for over 15+ years and supported this mans business. He would send his Mother, her friends, and recommended colleagues. So when our cars bumpers needed repainted we took it to Angel. What we got back was overspray all over the car! When we tried to have them clean/fix their mistake they tried to charge us $150 dollars?! Angel (owner) initially admitted being at fault, and agreed to clean the car. When we called 2 days later on the status, he said we would be responsible for the cleaning charge?! So now we have to pay for your blunder?Now that his business is turning a profit his attitude has completely changed. Customers are the reason you have a business at all. I walk in and spoke to Miguel. My car needed a bumper repair, so I left it there. (He said he would take a look at it and get back to me tomorrow, if he needed more money, he'd request my insurance for more). I get a text the following day telling me he can't do it because of a problem behind the bumper. I told him to request money from my insurance and do the repair. He said that would be impossible and they wouldn't give him money. (Never even tried to request it). I tell him throw the bumper back on and I'll pick it up. He tells me he's keeping the check from my insurance of $208 for labor. (Realize taking the bumper off takes like 15 minutes max because I've done it before). There's no possible way it cost $200 for labor on taking a bumper off that's already loose. This place disappointed me and so did the customer service. I recommend asking how much it will cost for labor and taking a look at it, because they will throw a price at you if you don't want to do the repair. read more

I have been going to this body shop for almost 15 years and 3 different cars, my mother has gone for the same amount of time and we have sent numerous referrals to the shop as well. For years they did a great job but my past experience was anything but. I dropped off my car to get the bumpers repainted and when I picked up the car the job was not finished. The car was filthy, there was paint on the door panel and when I got home and opened my trunk the seal was off and there was excess paint spray all over the car because they did not cover the car properly while painting the car. When I went back to drop off the car I was told by Angel the owner that it would be fixed. When I called to see if it was being worked on Angel told me that the overspray was there before I dropped off the car and he would charge me another 150$ to finish the job; a job he was to lazy to do on the first place. There could not be overspray on my car since it had not been painted until I dropped the car off to be worked on. I would not recommend this shop to anyone they are dishonest, do shoddy work, and lie to customers faces to save money. I had to go get the car detailed for 150$ at La Jolla Car Wash to fix the problem. Do not go to this body shop. read more

I came in for a side view mirror repair. To start, there's no one in the office, no one to talk to just random people staring. I got the mirror ordered and he said it needed to be painted and i have to wait to have it installed. I called two days later and they said the mirror wasn't painted and to call back in a few days. Call a few days later it still was not painted. Call Friday and they said it would be painted Monday. So I waited almost two weeks just to make an appointment get it installed. When I go in to drop my car off the guy wasn't even there and just some other guy asking what I needed. Terrible communication, do not expect to get a repair done in a timely manner. After almost 4 months after delivery & waiting for my my 66 Impala SS to be painted due to a trade / cash agreement, with a written estimate, and after I had gone & paid for a very expensive security camera / monitor system for their facility, I found myself finally calling THEM (instead of the other way around) only to find out that they have to move out of their facility! Absolutely NOTHING has been done to my classic Impala other than it completely turning to rust while sitting in the street in front of their shop!, And now I'm stuck with this very expensive equipment I bought for Angel. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service. And it's funny that another 66 Impala is in their yard, all newly painted, that was never there before my car was dropped off, and never there during some of my intermittent progress visits! Apparently, whoever's paint & body work generates more money gets top priority! We had a written agreement. All he offered were his PROBLEMS PROBLEMS PROBLEMS, now my problems. Thus is one of the worst examples of customer service I've ever experienced. My 66 Classic Impala SS is a rust bucket, completely stripped of bumpers, molding, (which I did to save money) I could have had this car painted by someone else during this 4 month wait, me anxiously awaiting my newly pained classic car! All Angel offered were his freaking PROBLEMS and zero solution to my situation! He should have at least offered to pay for the video system I bought for him! I sure don't need it! read more

Angel lied to me about the repairs made on my brand new vehicle. He claimed he did not do anything to the inside of my vehicle, only body work but after I received it back, it began overheating. I popped the hood and realized there was no hose on the coolant container causing the coolant to spray out of the container and out onto the outside of my car. He tried to give me the run around claiming it was not his fault. After speaking with my insurance, I found out they were paid to repair the radiator support which requires them to remove my radiator. HE FLAT OUT LIED TO ME because I am a female and i'm sure he thought I was not going to follow up. He is continuing to give me a hard time in completing the repairs on my vehicle and continues to claim that the overheating issues are not their fault. This was a BRAND NEW vehicle the only accident it has ever been in and has never had any issues with overheating before this. Horrible customer service and horrible work. brought my car in for body work. first told $1500 then when i went back 3 months later the same repair was $2200 CASH so i did it. they left a lot of orange peel on the car and i needed to wet sand it out. i put some high quality masking tape (3m) to protect the new paint and when i took it off the clear coat came off! i brought it back and they nicely redid the panel. he said it would be ready in a few days. 4 days later he called me and said it was ready. i was out of town but coming back in 3 days. he demanded i get it that day (Friday), but i was out of town. he said he had no place to store it . i said store it in one of the neighbors shops overnight until Monday. he said he told me a "couple" of days to do the job which is 2 and on day 4 i said that again 4 days is not a couple. so on the Monday after that weekend i called in the morning and said i would get the car when i arrived at about 10 pm by airplane. told me that someone sleeps there and when i come about 10 pm or so he would open the gate and let me get the car. i said if they just hide the key i would open the gate and get the ca r and close the gate and put the key back it its hiding spot. they said no, someone sleeps there. so i arrived at 1015 pm tired from my long flight and no one was there!!!. so the next day i had to go again to the shop (20 mile drive each way) and the car was done but filthy, covered with dust and grime.Angel ,the owner said that they wouldn't get it ready for delivery (clean it up) because i didn't pick it up on Friday. very nasty and wasted my time. would not go back. now they are called west cost auto body were AAA autobody before. read more
