I found Ashley here and so glad I did! She was so warm and welcoming and answered all my questions about curly hair. She did a dry cut followed by a 4 part wash and then a very detailed wet curl cream/gel/foam process followed up with a diffuser. Then she trimmed a little more after I was all dry and I was set! I've gone to curly hair "specialists" before, with mediocre to terrible results. Not this time! Ashley is awesome! The pictures speak for themselves. I walked in with a frizzy mess on top of my head, thought it was because of a bad perm. It turns out, my hair was just dehydrated. Ashley gave me a great cut, and recommended products and techniques to keep my hair hydrated. Just look at how defined and bouncy my curls look! This was my first time going to a curly hair-specific salon and I don't think I ever want to go to another salon ever again!! Before we even started Ashley asked me a few questions about my hair and how I usually style it and few other things. She did a dry cut (which not many other places I'd gone to in the past had done) and also cut it a little longer than the length I wanted to make sure that it was at perfect length when it shrank after washing. I decided I wanted it a little bit shorter and she quickly and easily made the change. During the washing portion of my session she explained so many things about different ingredients in hair products that can be harmful to the hair and how to identify which ones will help the hair, and gave lots of very helpful styling tips that I will definitely be trying out next time I wash my hair! Ashley is extremely knowledgeable and you can clearly see her passion for her craft. 100/10 would recommend and I will definitely be returning when I need a trim or cut! Ashley is amazing! Not only is she personable, she knows what she's doing. She gave me the exact cut I was looking for (on the first visit - not everyone is able to do this) and I love it. My hair is transformed - I literally teared up a bit when I saw the final result because so many people don't really know what to do with curly hair. I now feel like I have an actual haircut rather than just a bunch of hair on my head. Ashley listened to me, took her time, and gave me a custom cut that worked for me. The products she uses are amazing; they are clean (e.g., not full of chemicals) and she doesn't pile them on like some other stylists (I've left the salon feeling like there was half a bottle of product in my hair before). My curls are light, bouncy, and voluminous. She used a detox product that made them look amazing (we have hard water and it was doing a number on my hair).
