We had a fantastic experience with Luxe Cruises for our company offsite! We had a group of about 75 people, and they booked us on the Merlot ship. Originally we were supposed to be on a smaller ship, but they moved us to accommodate our sit down dinner which was great! Working with Toby was very easy. He was incredibly responsive and gave great suggestions on what would work best for our group size. The entire crew was also exceptionally accommodating. It was smooth sailing for the most part, but it did get a bit bump as we cruised under the bridge (the views were totally worth it). Overall, a 10/10 experience that I would highly recommend to everyone! read more

I wanted to do something different for New Years Eve. This was a nice option with all you can eat Prime rib buffet and endless bar even though I dont drink alchohol I enjoyed pineapple and cranberry juice . The food was delicious and truly all you can eat. It was available all night once they let us start eating. It was organized and they started with letting different tables go in order to get their food so there wasn't just one big rush. They had a dance floor and second bar on the 3rd level. Even a 4th level that I didnt get to that is open to watch the views of the bay, which are lovely. The fireworks was the star of the show, truly awesome and amazing. The thunderous echoes of the fireworks made it sound awesome. It is definitely a couples or group of people night out. I was so surprised you could hardly ever even feel the boat moving, no sea motion sickness at all. Protip: They offer free parking or lots of people got Uber or Lift, either way get there early to avoid waiting in line to get in. I was able to enjoy this cruise around the bay at a company outing. Their yachts are all named after wines, and ours was the Fume Blanc. There's 3 levels, and food was served buffet style on levels 1 and 2. The 3rd level had cocktail tables and was where I enjoyed the cruise the most. The views were spectacular, and the boat was pretty steady throughout. It got a bit choppy when we got close to the GG bridge, but because of fog, we weren't able to get very close to the bridge. The food was alright, but nothing special. The pasta tasted like jar spaghetti sauce (sorry), and the rolls tasted like the big bag of rolls from Costco. But the lemon rice, veggies and salad were pretty good. The seating was so tight that you could barely move your arms, but I'm sure that depends on how many guests there are. Our event was planned for 3 hours, but I think we were only on the bay for about 2 hours. We arrived at the designated time, but they didn't start letting us on till about 45 minutes later. My friend had his 50th Birthday Party with a Cruise around the bay on the 3 story yacht name Cabernet Sauvignon Commodore. They had the 1st floor setup as a lounge area, 2nd floor was setup with a nice lunch buffet, with salad, prime rib, pork loin, and chicken with mushroom. The food tasted great!!! The 3rd deck with a bar and dance floor was very nice. Roof deck is opened with no covering, see all great scenery's. This is almost a 4 hours cruise from Alameda to the Golden Gate Bridge and back. They had a dedicated parking for all guests that's take the cruise which is a few minutes walk to the boarding area. The entire staff was amazing, they were very attentive to everyone's needs!! Amazing Experience from start to finish. Easily booked our Valentine's Date tickets online and checked in smoothly with the barcode. We were welcomed aboard by the friendly staff. Our beautiful ship for the night was the Cabernet Sauvignon, 4 level deck with beautiful views from front to back. I unfortunately got a bit sea (motion) sickness, however the dance floor was the cure I needed. After a delicious dinner on the 2nd level deck, we went up to 3rd deck for drinks and bit of of dance cardio. Took beautiful pictures, the staff all super friendly. This Sunday celebration of my wife's 50th bday and my daughter's 18th bday far exceeded my positive expectations. The staff from lining the event up to the day-of were all excellent communicators and very present and helpful. The Pinot Noir yacht easily accomodated (in style) my 50 dearest family and friends. The views of our bay area, from the bridges to the SF skyline, to Alcatraz, were mind blowing. The captain did a fantastic role of giving us these sights. He was highly personable too. We loved the dancing elememt we added to the evening with DJ Slim. At my age 54 I honestly feel that sunset dinner dance cruise was in the top one to three favorite evenings of my life. For a special occasion, like our recent 50th Birthday party combined for three cousins whose birthdays all were within July to October of 1975; our choice to celebrate this event on the Luxe Merlot yacht, out of Alameda, CA., was just perfect and fabulous! The attending service and staff crew were all helpful, friendly and outstanding. The Captain and our cruise event point person (Jessica) were both so gracious and accommodating. Our family guests had a wonderful time and experience, enjoying the champagne and cider with scrumptious hors d'oeuvres upon boarding the ship; then followed with feasting on a buffet luncheon menu that was prepared deliciously and presented beautifully; and topped off with three individually appointed "theme" decorated birthday cakes - one for each celebrant. In advance of an evening cruise on Luxe I looked at their 2.2 star yelp rating and cringed; it was going to be a long night. I had nothing to do with booking Luxe, deciding on the offerings for the evening, or paying a penny towards any of it. I was simply a passenger invited to be a guest at an on-board evening event for a group that chartered Luxe. So my skin in the game was little. Luxe Cruises hosts events on its fleet of ships departing from Alameda. On-site parking is free and easy. The ship ("Cabernet Sauvignon Commodore") was clean and everything seemed to run smoothly. We were greeted with champagne, two appetizers (small egg rolls and chicken skewers), and an open bar. Dinner came later, first a salad followed by a plate that included beef, fish, potatoes, and broccoli raab. It was followed by cake. I've never before vacationed on a cruise ship but hope, if I ever do, that the quality of food outshines this. The food wasn't at all bad, just very mediocre. Service was efficient but it took a while for all tables to get their food, a logistical fact that might indicate a buffet offering would be more efficient than table service. There are multiple levels to the boat I was on and the stairs between them are very steep. I don't know what work-arounds exist for guests who cannot navigate them but if that's a concern, inquire. The highlight of this sort of event is viewing the bay and the lights on shore from the bay. One must be outside after dark to best see this so the less time you're waiting for a plate of food, the better. I can't say I loved my experience on Luxe Cruises but neither was there anything much to complain about. If I were looking to plan an event on a boat, they'd be a contender for my business but nothing I experienced would make me choose them without also considering all others operating in this space. read more

Much better than the lame effort we saw on Hornblower cruise out of Berkeley. Food...limited menu, but very well executed and buffet replenishment was CONSTANT. Prime rib was outstanding and generous. Chicken was also quite tasty. Service...I cannot say enough nice about the staff. Wow. What an amazing experience. We rented the Merlot for our son's 16th birthday party and everything was awesome. From the open deck on the second floor, down to the crew ( Captain Corey, Co-pilot Paul and Bartender Sarah and Security guard John) everything and everyone connected to Luxe Cruises was amazing. We had over 100 people (which included close to 60 teenagers and they loved the experience of partying on a yacht. We were able to have our own DJ and own caterer and this made our party ours. This establishment should be given 0 stars. I attempted to reach out to them directly. However, my phone calls were never returned until I reached out to the AG office. This is my complaint: The event was on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 8:30 PM - Sunday, January 1, 2023 at 1:15 AM (PT) and located on 2394 Mariner Square Drive, Alameda, CA 94501 provided by LUXE Cruises | Cabernet Sauvignon Yacht. I purchased three (3) tickets for a total of $1,118.82 (each ticket costed $372.94). The business, Luxe Cruises, did not provide what they advertised. The cruise did not follow the schedule provided/described and also started later and ended earlier. There was insufficient quantities of food and beverages on the cruise. Several attendees, including my party and I, had to travel to other deck levels to attempt to find food and beverages. Due to the food and beverage shortages, my party and I did not have dinner. It is concerning that there are various prices levels for tickets and I paid for the premium experience in full, yet the quality and experience on the cruise was homogenous. There was no distinction and distinguishable differences the tiers and level of experiences despite the varying ticket prices and the experienced provided on the boat by Luxe Cruises to attendees. Luxe Cruise is committing fraud and falsely advertising services and experiences that they cannot render. The experience and services provided does not match their advertisement/description nor my experience. I am concerned that they are price gauging and targeting consumers for the sole purpose of business, profit, and personal gain without any concern and remorse as well as attention to costumer experience and service. I would like a full refund from Luxe Cruises and request a comprehensive and thorough investigation of this business and their business practices. Luxe Cruises has not done anything to resolve the issues experienced and state that they are non-culpable. This was their first and last response after the AG office got a hold of them: "To whom it may concern I'm sorry I need to waste our time in this matter. Claimant has made several provably false accusations. We began boarding a few minutes prior to our 8:30 pm start time. The vessel log which is a federal document shows us departing at 9:10pm, returning to dock at 1:20am. By our own advertisement, if we left 10 minutes late due to last arriving guests and return to dock 20 minutes late, client received an extra 10 minutes on board. Please refer to our 1st deck floorplan where claimant was seated for this event. There is both a buffet, and beer/ wine/champagne bar on that deck. As there is limited space, we did not set up a full bar to include cocktails, but they were available all night on the 2/3° decks. At no point did any of our bars or buffets run out of anything. If there was a replenishment of an entrée on the buffet, this may delay 1-2 minutes for restocking. This delay would be common place at any banquet establishment anywhere. There were only 2 ticket types, the one the client purchased for a table that was his for the night. The other (cheaper ticket) was for a table on the dance floor that would be broken down. The guest would only have a seat during dinner. Claimant accuses us of price gauging. Our competitor located in SF was selling tickets for $100-$150/guest more than us. He could have also purchased a ticket for a ferry boat for only $75 less. He had many choices to buy tickets on NYE. He chose the most value to price cruise available. The claimant has never reached out directly to us, but would have been denied a refund, just as I deny now. Thank you for your time. Cause they obviously weren't ready for the crowd, but I was lucky enough to enjoy from the full get up and I wasn't disappointed. The pricing for New Years Eve. Boat Cabernet was a little pricey but for what we all went thru in the pandemic I don't fault business doing what they need to do and people, we were so ready to get out and celebrate so it was a one night deal for me and my friends to enjoy. Despite a few issues to work on, the DJ was awesome!!!! The views were amazing and all the staff were very professional despite the rowdy crowd who wanted to get out of the cold during the check in process. Where to begin....Let's start with the positive shall we- Booked this a year in advance for our company Christmas party. Everyone was looking forward to it as we had not had one offsite in about 5 years. I am fortunate enough to be in charge of the parties and was able to select this venue. The Cabernet Sauvignon was very nice. We had gaming on the first level, dining on the second and dancing on the 3rd. Everyone enjoyed the food, but the desserts were even better. The views were amazing to say the least and our captain did a fantastic job. We had planned and paid for 220 people with an estimate as it got closer of only 180- We ended up at 90 and they DO NOT refund anything so go on the lighter side to start off is my suggestion to you. I made it pretty easy for them as I am detail oriented and like to have everything taken care of well in advance. We had it paid in full a month before our event date. Our event Coordinator was Victoria. Victoria was very responsive until she wasn't. About 2 weeks prior to our event it was extremely hard to get her via email or on the phone. She had not reached out to our D.J and come to find out there was supposed to be a walk through planned with him and there was not. They finally connected the day of only to find out there is no WIFI only a hotspot on the yacht so we had to do some quick thinking and bring our MIFI in order to have Karaoke as we had planned. Victoria had arranged via our contract to provide a photo booth. We always have them at our events and they are enjoyed by all. This was also paid for well in advance. She sent me the final details and all items were correct as were as we agreed upon or so I thought. When I arrived and boarded at 4 pm I did a visual check and all seemed ok. I was approached by a staff member Yesenia who was pleasant and told me that Victoria had an emergency and would not be joining us. I understand things happen but I had spoke to her in the morning and she made no mention of not showing up. Our food was brought out and the New york strip was actually a roast so it appeared different than we thought. The salmon was very good as was the roast. The veggies were pretty plain and I wouldnt advise selecting those. There were more mushrooms than anything else. After dinner decided to look for the photo booth. We looked on each level and it was nowhere to be found. When I asked about it Yesenia was clearly stupmed and this other guy who was not friendly whatsoever said normally they dont set that up. I told him that my contract stated you did and Victorias email to me said All was set up and I needed to do nothing. I tried to reach out to the photobooth guy - Rich at SF Booths 415-604-8446 and he didnt answer or return my message.. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL on all parts. If your job is to plan events for people then please do your job in full. It made me wonder if that was why Victoria decided to not show up, because she knew she had dropped the ball. We purchased props too but oh well. The night went on and everyone did have a nice time. Our drinks were taken away before we finished, and we had to advise the staff to ask before touching. The same happened with dessert plates if we had something left on them that we were working on they would disappear without warning. Our bartender was not well stocked with items though we paid for the premium bar, and I brought some supplemental alcohol that was approved as long as we kept it at the bar. I asked him to make me a drink with elderflower and he literally just threw some in with vodka I think and cherry it was so gross. They asked me if they could put the food away after a couple hours and I told them that was fine. They did not however tell me that they were going to close off that area completely. We had some coats and purses in the dining area and the doors were closed. When I opened the doors, I was stopped by a young man who told me we were not allowed in anymore as they were clearing that area. We paid for the entire boat so please let us use the entire boat and don't close anything off until the party is done and especially if you see people's personal items. Monday morning, I reached out to Toby who apparently is Victoria's boss. I sent him all the information and issues we had with the main one being our missing photo booth and copies of emails from Victoria. It honestly did no good there wasn't much concern only excuses. Even showing she didn't connect with the D.J As of 12/15/22. His response to our drinks being taken was "sorry our staff is so efficient they wanted to seem busy since there was 1crew member for each 15 persons ". I found it amusing when he asked if we would book with him again next year so that he could buy us a photobooth, in addition to crediting us for the missing one. I felt that we should have gotten more out of it than just that. I did not feel that our issues were taken at all seriously and will take our business elsewhere for 2023. read more

Never again for New Years Eve. Value for the money, $735 for 2, even for New Years Eve, was a rip off. Food quality was worse than Home Town Buffet. The Champaign was embarrassing, I used it for mouth wash. The limited liquor selection seemed to run dry. Also a poor way to treat clients, to have them wait outside to board for almost an hour in the winter chill and rain to check in, before even boarding. Why not verify tickets and then let people board immediately? The DJ and fireworks with SF Bay view were good, and the staff were polite. read more

So the crew, and the vessel itself was in top shape. However the alcohol selection wasn't. The food was just ok, but then again I'm a foodie. By far the most irritating thing about my experience on NYE 2022..was the DJs music catalog. Too much house music and not enough variety. read more

Working with Luxe Cruises was delightful! It makes all the difference to have someone as detailed as I am so that everything goes well.Jewell and Brenda were great at helping plan everything and were so awesome to answer all my questions and make me feel more secure that everything would go well. Thei preferred vendor Marla (Cakes Made by Me) was a great recommendation and we enjoyed the cake tasting in Berkeley as well as the final product. She was also really great to allow us to have two separate flavors and accommodate our tweaks to the design. I am highly recommending her to everyone for future cake needs! Cruise Staff: The staff that day was amazing. Thomas and Captain Richard were amazing and such kind humans. It meant the world that Captain got our names correct and conducted such a lovely ceremony. I know nothing about marine sailing, but the cruise itself was smooth and so much fun. So big kudos to him! Speaking with him afterwards was also wonderful and totally inspired us to come back and do more events just so we could experience his charm again. Cassandra, Maria, and Scott were wonderful! They were kind and attentive, especially to my mother-in-law and aunt who have limited mobility and she made sure they had their drinks brought up. I appreciate that more than I can say. Leticia, our Cruise Director was amazing! Leticia was so attentive, on point and supportive. I'm not sure if it was her job to MC, but she stepped in and made sure everything went smoothly the rest of the night. She is amazing and I couldn't have asked for better support. Food: The guests, as well as myself, greatly enjoyed the food and drinks. I love that Luxe allowed us to bring some special alcohol for my mother-in-law and my bride's special water. We also loved that we could come the day before to drop off everything. "Meet the Fleet" night was a great idea and it definitely solidified our decision to book with them, so I recommend taking them up on that offer. We tasted the food and drinks and met some preferred vendors. We loved that they gave us preferred vendor options and still gave us the option to add services if we wanted. Jewell is delightful and that makes all the differences to make clients feel safe entrusting a company with our special day. At the end of the day, it was money well spent. But more than that, it was TIME and ENERGY well spent working with Luxe, especially with only two months to plan. They made the impossible happen and saved me significant stress. For that, there are no words to fully thank them. I'm a meticulous and detailed person, but I knew with my own wedding I'd miss details and mess up something. Horrible experience for Mother's Day cruise. $85!for lousy food and it took the Captain a. Hour to dock. Run!

We celebrated our daughter's 16th birthday on the Pinot Noir and the experience was absolutely fantastic. From the first call through the day-of the staff was responsive, kind and professional. We would definitely book with them again! read more

My new girlfriend had been on Hornblower before and since this was similarly priced and went out of Alameda we decided to try this one. At maybe around $95 per person for NYE it would have been worth it but over $700 for 2!! RIDICULOUS!!! The food was super weak in selection and quality was really poor. Ran out of meat and we stood in line for at least 20 minutes and finally just grabbed some scraps off the cutting board the server had left behind. For the variety of ages of guests on board the music selection seemed to favor a house beat that went on all throughout the fireworks. Countdown to midnight started at only 30 seconds to midnight, didn't seem like DJ was good at engaging the crowd for a special event. Finally they hustled us out of Deck 2 as they were docking but that process to more than 45 minutes we were crowded down on Deck 1 at the door. DO NOT BOOK. If I could leave zero starts, I would. Paid $300+ per person for new year's event. Company advertised buffet, 4 dance floors with live band and DJ, open bar, and a night to remember. My party of 3 sat on the first floor, the bar on the first floor only served beer and wine and we had to go to the second floor for liquor; alcohol was either very cheap quality or watered down (one of my party had 12+ drinks and was standing). When the buffet opened, we noticed they redirected people from other floors to the first floor for food, food ran out and it was never refilled. Dessert was only served on the second floor, we only noticed because we were in line for drinks. The "dance floor" and "live band/DJ" on the 2nd floor was Michael Buble playing, very low, on the radio, with the lights completely on. The most upsetting part is that when a refund was requested due to false advertisement on what we were getting for $300+, the response from the company was rude and one where we were called liars.
