After our furnace malfunctioned and pushed water from radiators throughout the house for five hours, we basically had a full gut job ahead of us. This happened during the heart of the pandemic! We live in Portsmouth, NH, so thought to look in town, but after receiving a great recommendation from our friend and plumber, we headed to Somersworth. Andrew and Kimberly helped us rethink our space and how we used it, providing excellent options, adding recommendations we hadn't considered and even reworking a section minutes before we were to sign the contract after our contractor alerted us to his mistake about a wall that could be removed. Given how busy they were, our contractor managed the installation. I recommend having Select Cabinetree manage the installation as well as the design/material as they will bring that same level of detail and attentiveness to the installation. We all hear vendor nightmares when repairing or building homes, but this business will exceed all expectations. I already gave them the greatest compliment of referring them to a friend, but wanted to leave a review, too. Call them for your kitchen design or redesign needs ... you won't be sorry. Thank you, Andrew and Kimberly! Beth and Michael

They did not meet their stated completion date and we had to move in with construction going on for another couple of months! The project start date was delayed two months as well. When they were nearly finished, they started balking at correcting errors and demanding more money, and that is when we stopped the project with a few tasks left uncompleted. At times they behaved professionally and polite and other times they would act insulted and angry with our requests for corrections or additions ignored.

Getting new granite countertops from Quality granite as part of my kitchen remodel was an A++…read moreexperience start to finish. Initially started looking on a Sunday which resulted looking at another granite place, one of the very few open, and was not impressed with the service, knowledge, or selection. The next weekend I was about to drive down to one of the wholesalers to look at stones when I decided to do a quick search and saw Quality Granite was right around the corner and figured I'd give it a shot. Just driving up and seeing the selection of stones told me this was going to be a whole different experience. Peter did a great job with the initial sale, showing stones that matched what I was looking for, describing options, and answering questions. The templater did a great job suggesting some tweaks including adding a small overhang for stools to the peninsula which came out amazing! Peter was very thorough with the layout, putting in extra effort to consult with the templater and fabricator about some different options and moving things around to take a look at another stone in order to try to get the seams as perfect as possible. The installers were also excellent. They arrived on time and were courteous, careful with everything in my home, and meticulous on the install. When they saw that things didn't look quite right with the cutout for the cooktop vs the cabinet size, they went above and beyond immediately measuring and fixing the problem by modifying the cabinets (my existing cabinets, not from Quality) without hesitation. Beginning to end, it felt like everyone involved was treating this project like it was their own home. 100% would recommend for anyone looking for new countertops.

I even would come back and look at it to admire it in the 2 months it took for the cabinets to come in. We did not get our cabinets there. We wanted to initially but they just seemed asleep at the wheel and like they didn't care whether we went with them or not and didn't help us to make decisions out of indifference. But whatever. We loved the marble slab and they would fabricate it, install it, etc., so fine. When I went to check out the slab a few days before they were to come--we went to see how they had laid out the template on the **2 slabs** we had picked and.......there was only one--and it was NOT the same slab we had picked and had been waiting all this time for. A worker confessed they had given the slabs to someone else and swapped out the slabs for a different lot. This lot, and the slots were darker and had lots of brown in it, which we did NOT want and we intentionally--as I said--had selected the slabs we wanted for the exact color of THOSE slabs. We had selected all the colors of the kitchen based on what we had selected. We picked the cabinets based on it, the backsplash, the wall color, the shelving, the flooring. The slab we wanted was shimmering luminescent sparkling white with streaks of green and blue-grey. This slab was opaque and none of the green or blue. The disdainful women sneered and said it was the exact slab/lot we had bought. I had photos of the original slab and showed them it was different. They lied to our faces and said with a shrug "Don't know what to tell you. You can pick something else but it'll be 12 weeks before we'd be able to schedule. " My Mom is 95 years old--back then she was 92--literally days before Thanksgiving, and we could not have plywood countertops for Thanksgiving and for 3 months subsequently. Plus, there was no comparable stone in their yard to what we had selected, so even if we decided to wait....they had no stone like the one we DID pick out. I started writing this review 3 years ago when this all happened and was so heartbroken I couldn't finish. Three years later....it still is awful and a massive disappointment. My Mom was going for her dream kitchen this late in life, and these ugly white and brown slabs that were NOT the slabs we picked have not improved. I wonder to this day who came along with a wad of money and convinced "Quality" Granite to give them OUR slab. Incredibly sad and kind of sickening. I am embarrassed when people pretend to like the countertops because they're not the magical sparkling counters my Mom fell in love with. Two stars because the installers did a great job and were polite and professional.
