They had this cocktail mixer that was memorable. The dragon fruit cosmo. I tried to buy a bottle, but it's not available yet. The event had a live band that played music, it could be hard to hear your party and vendors when they try to explain their history or what they are serving. Overall great time and would come back to a wino event.

I have to say this was the very 1st event from Winos that I attended and the location I visited was at the beautiful property at the Cypress Alamo in the Cypress area near Houston for which I didn't know even existed and it's close to my neighborhood. It was on an amazing fall day and the coordination of the event was spectacular as Texas Winos emailed communications regularly with sign-in times for which you could modify to fit your schedule. I was assigned a later time but moved it to earlier in the morning. Understand that once you are there you can stay as long as you want but they try to control check in times to help reduce crowds all at one time. It worked out very well as there were zero lines on entry and plenty of space and winery's to keep everyone spread out pretty well. Most was inside and some where also outside. There was many wine vendors as well as food and sangria vendors. It was a great tipsy time with no over drinking and places to sit and mingle outside as well. They even supply rinsing areas to refreshen your glass as you go from vendor to vendor. I do have to give them 4 of 5 stars on the event however because for them to have only local wineries, the cost of every single wine bottle started at $40 to $110 a bottle. The average cost of wines in the US sits anywhere from $7 to $20. When wines go over that we are talking some higher end wines from some more known wineries. You would think at a wine tasting they have more varieties of wines that are more affordable as a local winery. I spent over $200 on just a few bottles just to support local. Some of the best wines cost much less than what you can find here. Unfortunately I did not find a wow factor in the tasting to justify the cost of even their lowest wine at $40 a bottle. But for the event and the hosting and the amazing ability to meet and greet new people it's certainly a 4 star event for the admission. Cheers and Prosper!

In hindsight, we should've flown to California instead. No one would be able to forget us that way.) Other companies had their groups successfully picked up and whisked away by their tour vans. (austin detours was one). We flew here and bought a 12 pack for 2 of us and ended up lugging around cans of beer through downtown Austin for no reason. If our trip was a little bit longer this might be less disappointing. However, I couldn't recommend this company. Unless you wanted to wait an hour for zero reason at all. At least if I booked Austin detours I'd be on the river. It just makes me so sad thinking about the multiple groups of us sitting around at that bar waiting for essentially no reason and no communication. Do not. Book. The river raft.

The Quote: Most companies require you fill out an online form that results in no human interaction and a generic quote that doesn't account for the intricacies of an event like a wedding. With Daniel, he immediately connected with us via email and scheduled time to talk with us via phone so he could understand our vision and detail exactly what was required. When he submitted a formal quote to us, his prices were incredibly fair and aligned with the Austin market. The Wheels: What a home-run. We required 2 56 passenger buses and a 26 passenger executive limo spread out across two days. The vehicles were BEAUTIFUL. Clean, New, Shiny...our guests were very pleased with the transportation which was important as they were traveling about 45minutes to the destination in Dripping Springs. The Service: Each and every single pick-up was early. The drivers were easy to work, super polite and friendly, and assisted in making sure that everyone was accounted for and departure could happen on schedule. Designated contacts were also provided with all the drivers' names and texts were sent confirming the drivers had arrived and were ready for loading. The Bottom Line: Look no further than Krystal Luxuries. Daniel the owner has his head on straight and is focused on making sure transportation isn't something you need to concern yourself with. Scrambling at the very last minute, I scoured Trip Advisor for a similar experience, and found Austin Detours. The tour was about to start, so I ran (yes, ran) through the 90+ degree Texas heat to arrive on time. My guide, David, was incredible, very interesting to listen to, and took us all around Austin. I really felt like I attained a better understanding for the city. He even took our picture at different spots, and the sweet treat was delightful. The only thing I didn't love was that the elder couple on the tour with me rambled about their political leanings, which I didn't agree with at all and I struggled to keep my mouth shut, but David did such a good job of delicately leading them off the topic on multiple occasions. Their tour is super reasonably priced, a value, really. I'd recommend them to anyone visiting Austin for the first time.
