Lux Garage Doors - Garage Door Services Near Me - Commerce, California

Very good service, responsive, and quality products and installation work at a fair price. Worked on a 29 unit apartment building for me!

I paid $8281.00 for a luxury garage door. One glass window was cracked. It took over a month for Lux to order the glass. Their installer failed to show three times as I waited those days. Nothing. He finally showed up and installed the glass but cracked the wood molding....and I had to pay him. Unacceptable. I contacted Lux and they asked that I take down my review before they will send out a carpenter to "fill in" the damaged molding. Not replace it. So I will have to hire a carpenter to fix their mess...at my expense. Do not patronize a business without support. There are better doors with much better service. read more

I ordered white oak doors and they sent mahogony. They acknowledged that they over charged me by hundreds of dollars, but they never sent me a refund. I've called multiple times to follow up, but get nowhere. Do not buy from this company. read more

This is a follow up to my original review. After a less than stellar review of their customer service, owner Oren reached out to me. He wanted to understand what fell through and what could have been done better to make me a satisfied customer. I appreciated his honesty, sincerity and willingness to hear constructive criticism from the customers perspective. While the purchase has been completed he still wanted to know if there was anything he could do or if I had any other material needs he could help with. I felt his genuineness in wanting to make things right. During our discussion he recommended a particular wood sealer to use on the mahogany door since it would protect and enhance the life. I asked if he was willing to comp me this as a measure of good faith and he agreed. I think it says a lot when words are backed up with actual dollars. Thank you for trying to correct a previously unpleasant experience. read more

We ordered a custom door from LUX in June 2021. Brian, our sales person was forthcoming right up front about the supply issues and the overall long expected leadtimes that they were experiencing. Nonetheless we placed our order. The order ended up taking more than twice the time to produce that was forecast, however I knew that this was the case industry wide for custom orders having spoken with two independant sources (installers) so that is not LUX's fault. Note that they are not a manufacturer, so it is in their interest to supply doors as quickly as possible. Customer service was prompt in following up to my questions, figuring out shipping solutions to my distant location and resolving some minor shipping damage issues. The door looks beautiful. read more

This is a follow up to my earlier review. The company did contact me and made an effort to help with a bad situation. Meital Cohen promptly found an installer for us who came out quickly and did a very competent and professional jobs putting the garage doors in place and reconnecting our existing garage door openers. One of the springs for the door assembly was the wrong size so we had to scramble to locate a replacement but in the end the doors look beautiful. I am reserving judgment about how they will perform but the company was responsive in the end. I can only guess that during covid there were disruptions in their supply channel that resulted in a series of execution problems with respect to our order. read more

Hey, great doors ,great service, great people, what more need I say. Thanks! read more

A very rude and unprofessional man answered the phone today. I called and as soon as the man realized that he could not provide the service I needed, he hung up on me!! He did not let me finish what I was saying. It was evident to me that since he could not make money from my inquiry, there was no room for courtesy. So it is easier to hang up on customers that do not bring money to Lux Garage Doors. Be aware that the person who answered the phone represents a business and good customer service is NOT their top priority unless they can make a profit. So if you are happy and satisfied with this company, remember that you PAID, it was not free and that is probably they were nice to you. Very simple: All customers should be treated with respect, regardless. read more

This was one of the worst commercial transactions I have ever been involved in. We ordered two wood garage doors from the company because their reviews were good and they cost less than the other estimates we had received. Proof positive that you get what you pay for. It took ten weeks for the company to deliver one door (we ordered two). When they realized they had only received one door, they contacted us and said there would be an eight week additional delay for the second door. When we asked them to hold the door so they could deliver both doors when the second one arrived, they said they had already shipped the single door. So we had to store the door while waiting another eight weeks. Once the doors eventually were delivered to a contractor for staining (because the wood was unfinished and unstained), the contractor said he had never had doors delivered in such poor shape. They were completely rough and uneven and the contractor had to sand the face down for days before he could get an even stain on the panels. Equally bad, the company delivered doors that were different in style from what we had ordered. The interior of the squares on the door face were supposed to be flat but they were not. I was not made aware of this until the doors were already stained so I will have to live with them, but at every step this company made mistake after mistake and their product was definitely not what I expected. read more

Brian at Lux Garage Doors is the greatest! He knowledgeably guided us through the many choices to be made and, as a result, we are extremely pleased with our beautifully crafted Carriage House Door "Elena" garage doors. Not only do we like how they improved the looks of our house, but we are also grateful for the compliments on the doors our neighbors have given us. Nancy C. read more

This company has been great in communications, very responsive, and most importantly they delivered and installed a great garage door. We had some issues related to our garage construction later on, and they have supplied assistance and additional parts. They were pleasure to deal with! read more

Superior service and an exceptional product! After finally making the decision to invest in a quality wood door, I searched locally and I was quite disappointed with the garage doors and shocked at the pricing. I was fortunate enough to find Lux Garage on the internet. They have the most "honest" website that gives complete price visibility. Their customer service reps are knowledgeable in terms of product specifications and at helping you find the best value for your needs. After installing the garage door, it exceeded my very high expectations. The only negative is that your neighbors will be jealous. read more

This is a follow up to a post my wife posted back in August. We finally got our garage door working, but not by Lux garage doors. We paid in full for our garage door in June of 2018, but didn't have a working garage door for more than a couple of hours until late October. Thats 5 months after we originally paid for the door. We also had to use a different garage door installation/service company to get the garage door actually working, because the installer that Lux works with and is recommended "AJ Garage doors" would not come back out to get the garage door working after we had already had an SOS call to him when it wouldn't work the first time. AJ Garage doors told us that he would be out to our house within a week or so, but after 3 weeks he still hadn't showed up and we were left without a garage door that would roll up. When AJ garage doors finally did show up he wanted to charge us to get the door opening. I blew my top and told him to leave and the next day hired another garage door contractor that i paid to review the original installation and get us a door that would roll up and down. The story went on and on with LUX garage doors and AJ Garage doors. The owner of Lux garage doors refunded us $1000 from our $6500 custom garage door in exchange for us to remove my wifes original post. Mike also gave us another $200 refund because AJ never did finish the installation so Mike gave us $200 to purchase and install the bottom rubber seal. We never did remove the first post because we couldn't get a functioning garage door. The last i talked with Mike with Lux (2 months ago) he was supposed to get us some touch up paint so we could touch up the chips in the Powder coating....The story just continues without any real healthy resolution. If you are thinking about using Lux, please beware and whatever you do, do not let them steer you towards using "AJ Garage doors" for the installation or warranty. We currently paid for but never received any compensation for not having a warranty anymore. read more
