It sounds like after COVID they had a lot of trouble getting up and running because of a lack of trucks especially - funny enough this is exactly what most people complain about! I'll definitely be back because new management under Andy is great. Most of this stuff comes down to who runs the place and Andy does great. I'm all for supporting local business owners and it's clear Andy's been hard at work trying to fix the reputation here :) I've only ever had trouble renting from Budget (or Avis?) when I try to do something last minute. My recommendation would be to try and book in advance as much as possible - and to be flexible if you're going to book last minute!

I had to carve out an hour on Saturday to get it fixed. Later that same day, the same tire went flat again. There was no nail or visible cause, but it required another trip and another hour of my time. For someone with a flexible schedule, two hours may not seem like a lot. But for me, carving out that much time was difficult and set me back quite a bit. I wish the vehicles were inspected more thoroughly before being put back into the fleet. This could have easily turned into a dangerous situation if it had happened while driving at higher speeds.

Generally, this mall location has rates cheaper than SJC. Returns are also pick-any-available-spot in the garage, way less stressful than SJC shuttle lines, elevators, or terminal traffic chaos. However, pickup times and return times are not 24/7 and subjected to store hours (no key drop off boxes either). There's a large fleet to choose from. Baby carseat is a cheap toddler seat without the appropriate attachments, so I recommend to use your own. Beware that the fuel tank is not always full but take a photo before you leave and confirm fuel status with the clerk. Pro tip: Scout discount codes via your employer's perks or Costco membership--they'll likely ask for proof (ID or card) to confirm.

I was to drop off my car at Caliber, who would then contact Enterprise to pick me up and take me to their location to pick up a rental car. Unfortunately, Enterprise never picked up the call so Caliber had their driver drop me off at Enterprise. There was a line of people waiting to pick up a car. By the time it was my turn, the car size that I was supposed to get were all out. Instead I was given an SUV, and was given a discount and charged the original price of the car I was supposed to receive. Overall time took 30 minutes. When I returned the car, the process was faster and the person who helped me was professional and tried to make my experience a good one. I also received a ride to Caliber Collisions to pick up my car. Overall time took 20 minutes.

First,…read moreon the day I came in, there was a customer on the verge of exploding (it was clear that she was already perturbed before entering the agency) and was very forceful, and repetitive, asking a question they clearly couldn't understand stand the answer to. The young man there Akash, handled the person so pleasantly - remaining calm and so patient - as he continued to try and help this customer understand the answer to their question. Well, watching this whole thing was like magic; the calmer and on topic he remained, the more the customer just couldn't seem to wind up...they finally left calmer, and finally understanding the answer they needed. Secondly, Rolinda helped me with my rental which was SO quickly executed, I felt as though I couldn't really leave because, well, renting a car is NEVER this easy!
